The CTO admits I was sold the wrong thing, still won't refund my money
I need to put in a preamble to this review, based on the slanderous reply Twelverays has posted below, accusing me of "racist comments." They claim they have "detailed recordings of every interaction" and if they do, that's a Category D felony in the State of Nevada. We are an all-parties-consent state and any company doing business here has to abide by our laws. But if they DO have the recordings, fine. PROVE the "racist" comment because it's defamation if they CAN'T prove it. Plus, they say they want to go to court. Illegally obtained recordings are not admissible in court.
I make my living as a liberal blogger. I fight racism, not participate in it.
Now that you know the kind of people these are, here's my review.
_____________
It has been a strange saga dealing with this company. I was cold called from one of their salespeople, who asked me if I wanted to improve my website, make so much more money, etc. I told him that I had done some recent basic upgrades with my techie and my hosting provider but that I would be very interested in SEO work. He said he could sell me a great SEO package. Then this is what happened.
1. There was an immediate bait and switch. I wanted SEO and what I got was a technical health package. This was confirmed by the CTO on or about 09/25/2024.
2. I did not agree with the terms of the contract that the salesman present. I said it was too vague. The salesman said that he "knew" what I wanted and he "promised" I would get what I wanted.
3. That did not happen. There were a number of back and forth emails and concerned telephone calls.
4. Again I was assured that all was well.
5. I mentioned offhand that I was going to go to another full service ad revenue company, because I was getting tired of handling my own adstack and wanted to devote my time to other aspects of my business.
6. The salesman represented that Twelverays was a full service ad revenue company -- much to my surprise.
7. Again, another contract and other qualms on my part about the contract.
8. Then the salesman vanished. The work on the first contract had not been finished and the work on the second contract had not even been begun.
9. I got an email from the salesman terminating the vendor/client relationship due to the fact that I was insufficiently appreciative of some worker there. I began writing furious letters to Twelverays to get my money back.
10. My ad revenue contract money was immediately refunded. It was too much of a hot potato, I guess, for them to try to defend it.
11. But they still do not want to refund my SEO contract even though I have it in writing from the CTO that the salesman "gaslighted us both." I agreed with him.
12. Twelverays refuses to refund my money unless I delete reviews I posted on two platforms.
13. It is impossible to delete negative reviews on the two platforms in question. I have proven this to Twelverays at least six times by providing copies of the rules of both platforms, as publicly provided on the internet and confirmed by the platforms, personally. Twelverays will not listen, for reasons which are utterly beyond me. The rules of both platforms are there in black and white. Yet magically, I'm supposed to "find a way" -- and that's a direct quote of the CTO's -- to get these platforms to change their policies. I cannot do the impossible.
14. Evidently the management of Twelverays has a problem reading plain English because today I received a settlement agreement once again demanding that I do the impossible and delete reviews from platforms that DO NOT ALLOW DELETIONS. Once again I copied and pasted the rules from the internet stating what the platforms' polices were and sent the rules to Twelverays.
15. I will be pursuing my legal remedies against this horrifically bad and completely unprofessional company within the next 60 days.
16. I have spent weeks bending over backwards to deal with these people. Even though the CTO completely agrees with me that I was sold the wrong product, and that the salesman (who no longer works here) is a person of bad character, he insists that Twelverays did the work.
17. It's indisputed that they did some work, but not the work I paid for. I paid for SEO work and I completely believe that if this matter goes to court I can prove my side of the story.
Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. There is something wrong when you contract to buy apples and you receive pictures of oranges. The fact that the salesman went on vacation without finishing my work or giving me the courtesy of an OOO email is a bad sign. The fact that the salesman suddenly doesn't work for Twelverays anymore is also a bad sign.
