Never even heard of this site until I got an email saying I tried to log in to Twoo. I didn't as I had never even heard of the site until yesterday. One of my friends also claims he got an email apparently from me (but really not) at around the same time. Coincidence? I think not. Had to email them to ask my details be removed. I cannot be certain that they have.

What the hell

Below is my message to twoo when I stopped my account.

I originally signed up a year or 2 ago as I thought the app was to do with meeting new business people (similar to linkedIn), however I never went on the app. I then got emails recently saying that people wanted to talk to me so therefore I put in a password and signed up using my facebook info.

A couple of days later I went onto my profile only to find that you were a dating app which isn't clearly stated when I signed up (just somewhere to connect with people from around the world). I then found that you had taken some of my information from my facebook page like where I lived however you decided to disregard certain information like the fact I am married and therefore you decided to tell people I was single and looking for a women!! Whats more you cropped a my son out of my facebook profile picture so its just myself and you made it my twoo profile picture!

I don't really have time to email you however I had to do it as I was so shocked by they way you conduct your business.

Do not subscribe this service, it is pure spam, creates fake profiles and sends fake requests to people from your contact list without your permission. I cannot wait for the day someone manages to do something about this. This nasty scam must be stopped!

Disgusting, evil, shady organization and website

I never signed up for an account and I keep getting a bunch of disgusting spam emails from here. Don't answer me saying that you're sorry, that I connected my contacts to my account - I'm not asking for some seemingly deceptive, responsible reply. What I want is for you to think about your disgusting company. What you are doing is wrong and you know it. You are hacking peoples contacts, sending all their contacts spam emails without their consent. "Oh but you clicked connect.." No, we didn't. We clicked on a link - and that somehow means you can hack our contacts and send everyone we know emails? That's hardly consent. We didn't consent to it and you know it. Don't even bother to try and defend yourself, because your arguments are laughable. Honestly - This is absolutely ridiculous. What the hell are your intentions? Why are you doing this? Sorry to break it to you, but no one is ever going to join Twoo. No matter how many desperate, non-consensual emails you send. In fact, it will end up in even more millions of people hating your sick organization. Not only is Twoo unpopular and pointless, the only reputation that you guys have is a well-deserved one - of an organization that is untrustworthy and ridiculously shady. And do you really think that people believe your "goodwill" reasoning of why it is that you send everyone emails? You guys are so pathetic. It's so suspicious and disgusting how you try and trick people by clicking a link so then they will make an account. Did they sign up for your lame website? NO. Did they want to sign up for your lame website? NO. All they did was click a link, and now you think its okay to not only invade their contacts and privacy ("we never invade privacy" YES, YES YOU DO, don't even bother trying to say anything, no one is ever going to believe your lies and you know that its a lie yourself), hack their email and send a bunch of more emails to everyone in their contacts list. Truly the most despicable, disgusting, pathetic organization I have ever seen to date. I hope Google deletes your website and domain, you disgusting, pathetic motherfckers.

SPAM alert! SPAM alert! SPAM alert! TWOO is Spamming people

I applied for a couple of jobs on-line, forgot which ones, then all of the sudden, I started receiving messages from TWOO. It even setup pass words for me, how? Why? Who authorised them??

I tried to unsubscribe, but it led me back to their unwanted dating web site again! OMG ...what to do, who can I report this to?!!

I'm normally very cautious about spams.

Spam & they create accounts for you under your email address. No way to easily delete them either without giving them some data.

Beware and mark their emails as Spam - maybe Gmail and other providers will start to block them.

Unsolicited email and auto-signup

I got two unsolicited emails from them even though I never signed up. The first one inviting me to join to read a message from someone I don't know, using an email address I use for spammy websites. The second one soon after I had read (but not clicked on) the first email, with subject "Welcome to Twoo!" sending me my account details including password in insecure plain text! Terrible bottom-feeding practices. People working at Twoo, don't reply to this review, just quit Twoo and do something useful with your lives.

Scam website!!!

I received an email saying that "gina" (who?) has sent me a message on twoo, which I have never signed up for.

was suspicious so signed up for a profile, with fake details, to see what had been said, "Gina" is a spambot set up by Twoo to get you to sign up, as she was using my fake name in the message that had been sent apparently a few hours ago!

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY, they are scammers!

In reply to Twoo's reply, if it wasn't a bot, how do they explain the fact that they used my fake name in the message? I've never used the name before! Complete bull****

We're very sorry you feel upset. It seems that you've received an invitation to join the site from somebody who had your email address on their contact list. We'd like to assure you that we don't use bots on Twoo to invite people to join the site. In every such email there's an information that you can unsubscribe from receiving such emails by clicking an appropriate link and there's an option to create an account on Twoo which you've used. If you wish to delete your account from the site you can do so in your Settings.
If you have any other questions about Twoo please contact us at info-en@twoo.com.

The name in the invitation is the name under which the invite sender has you saved in their contacts and it is not in any way influenced by Twoo. Unfortunately we have no way of checking where and when this person came into your email address.

f**kers get serious. u better go down the roads & start begging , just stop spamming peoples online goddamn it, u losers.

I now am having dozens of emails in all my email ids everyday, I swear never signed them up. The whole site is full of fake profiles, most pictures are stolen from around the internet & social media illegally, without peoples even knowing.

Twoo is a pathetic joke, I wish ICANN or google penalize their domain badly.

Registered without my permission, difficult to delete account.

Received an email saying I have received a message on Twoo by a friend. I clicked on the linked curious as to see whether I could read that message WITHOUT registering for twoo - this proved to be impossible (I was immediately presented with a registration page) so I closed the page.

A minute later I receive an email that my REGISTRATION to twoo has been successful (?), my email is the username and I was given a password.

Unacceptable — I try to go to the website to delete whatever profile has unsolicitedly been created with my details, but if I try to "log on" using the details provided, I am taken to a registration page again. Catch 22.

Only way to delete my account was to go to the FAQ, under "delete account", then click the link provided, which would somehow bypass the "registration" stage and allow me to delete my account.

Now, as to whether this will be a long-term solution, this remains to be seen.
