Two Views Kids presents simple philosophical concepts to children in a fun graphical way. We concentrate on ethics, truth, the logic of kindness, conflict resolution, and tolerance. Our stories always have two (or more) perspectives to consider. As long as children understand that there's always another side to the story, they will develop open-mindedness and tolerance for others. They will embrace new ideas and at least give alternate points of view a chance. Our mission is to teach philosophy at a young age. Philosophy will serve the children well throughout their lives. Philosophy is not dusty or academic. It is alive and well in everything we do, every decision we make, and every question we ask. Children are natural philosophers with an automatic curiosity and an innate sense of fairness. We like to present our stories in a colorful way. Our books are original, fun and often deal with serious issues in a humorous way. Our Flippy Books present two sides to a story by flipping the book over. Each side of the book shows another viewpoint on the same topic. Two Views Kids also produces traditional books with an unconventional illustration style. We mix 2- and 3-dimensional objects and cardboard cutouts on a stage and photograph them. Reminiscent of paper theater, this illustration style is unique and visually appealing.

It's so exciting to plant seeds and bulbs then anticipate the new growth in the spring. I liked how both Mattie and Rabbit hibernated through the winter. Neither one of them aware of the other. Then they cross each other's paths and Mattie has to figure out what to do. I really love Mattie's problem solving when she saw what had happened. She recognized that Rabbit had needs too and worked it out so they could both be happy.

Learning to understand others, and the power of choice

This is an engaging and well-told children’s book with themes that feel very relevant today. It introduces ideas of empathy, understanding, and choice in a way that is clear and accessible to young readers. The story shows how our actions affect others and how compassion can change the outcome of a difficult situation.
Warm, thoughtful and heartfelt, It’s the kind of book that can lead naturally to good conversations at home or in the classroom, and it encourages children to think about their own feelings as well as the feelings of others.
As a grandfather I appreciate books like this that not only entertain, but seek to uplift and enrich as well.

A charming book with some wonderful lessons

This is a charming book with several wonderful messages for children. I really loved the overall theme of "good and bad times come and go" as well as the idea that you can make choices in how you see and deal with disappointments. I also enjoyed the contrasting perspectives found in the characters of Mattie and Rabbit. The illustrations are bright and engaging, and the language rich while still being clear.

What a charming yet disarmingly educational book for young readers! As a new grandfather I can’t wait to read my grandson this book about the power of imagination and thought. It provides a growing seed of tolerance for mature understanding of all beings and things we grow to live with.

What a fun book that will help kids…

What a fun book that will help kids understand the changing seasons and the challenges faced by Rabbit as he manages to use his skills to avoid predators and find things to eat to keep himself healthy.
Readers will get to see how Rabbit uses his instincts to avoid fox during the winter so that he can survive and get to enjoy spring and eat the flowers that he so enjoys.
What is the best learning experience for readers is how Mattie understands the importance of nature and how she can make her surroundings help the insects, birds and animals that are part of her world! By building a backyard that includes the flowers that she so enjoys she gets to enjoy so much more!!
A fun and informative read😊

Thank you for your review Dave. You're right. Mattie finds a win-win by planting a wildlife garden. And the book begs the question -- are animals as important as people?

What a charming little book for…

What a charming little book for children. The writer write a charming but simple story which guides the young mind to see a bigger picture and have empathy for what could have been an adversary. In this age, the subject is refreshingly simple.

My seven- and five-year-old really enjoyed Maddie and Rabbit. The vibrant illustrations captivated them from the start—they couldn't wait to see what was next.

As a mom, I love how it sparked real conversations about perspective and patience. Good things come, and good things go, but we get to choose how we see it all. It’s such a gentle, powerful reminder that there’s always a brighter outlook.

I was so happy to hear that Mattie and Rabbit sparked conversations when you read it to your kids. If they continue to ask questions they can be considered true philosophers. We need philosophers to bring us together as a nation and as people.
