Products are good however the total lack of customer service, follow up and accountability is where the let down for Ublinds ends. Promise you everything once deposit paid they almost ghost you, & from then on they pass you over to fitter& he has a full schedule &no care for customers. Pity as the product is not bad. Would I reccomed Ublinds definately not when your spending that money 17 thousand, many other companies with more care are deserving.

Reviewing U Blinds Australia, I spent $17.000 on out door blinds and have had nothing but trouble with them from the beginning. Wire broken, blind coming out of frames. Blinds not opening or closing. My blinds are still under the 5 year warranty but U Blinds are refusing to fix them. I would have given no stars for this company and their staff. Extremely rude!

If you are after a company that:
1. Promises installation times to secure deposits (Gold Coast sales rep;
2. Fails to commit to check measure dates which delays your order further;
3. Promises your job will be prioritised then is delayed again;
4. Fails to give clear communication when requesting updates for installation dates;
5. Prior to even unloading the van requests payment. Even after requesting to see all goods have arrived which is fair and reasonable prior to providing payment;
6. Departs the jobs leaving metal shards from installation on brand new carpet, window sills and tracks in all areas worked. After raising the issue you are asked to ‘vacuum them up’ by head office;
7. Will not prioritise making a site safe for residents;
8. When defects are noted not even 24 hours after installation it takes a whole week to return;
Then Ublinds is who you want. They received our sale due to lead times matching our requirements and if I knew the above I would have went elsewhere. Stepping on metal barefoot is a pain and is an acceptable finish to Ublinds standards.
After speaking to the Ublinds owner Chris Ralph we were told to man up, get a dust pan and clean up their mess. This is a company that does not take safety seriously and will make excuses as to why it cannot be fixed in an expected time.
I would encourage potential customers to seek another company if you are after a better service experience. I wish I saw all of the other negative reviews prior to engaging this company. This is just a glimpse of the metal shards you can expect in your home.
Spent over $10,000 on plantation…
Spent over $10,000 on plantation shutters and the last order came with 2 shutters came upside down to the rest of the order of 11 windows and incorrectly measured with the mid rail not matching the mid rail on the windows. They blamed the factory in China and fixed one of the shutters and refused to fix the other one. I was told to pay another $650 for a new one if I wanted it replaced. It came as 1 big shutter instead of 2 smaller ones, doesn’t line up with the window and the person that measured it didn’t know how it would come as apparently the computer in China works out how it should be made. Beware before you order thru this company as you don’t know what your getting until it arrives then it’s too late as they make you pay up front before they fit them and then won’t help when their is a problem
These guys are horrendous and absolute…
These guys are horrendous and absolute amateurs. From start to finish they have been terrible to deal with, and now I have arrived home to a monstrosity installed that is now going to have to be removed. They did not consult, did not consider best type of product and stuffed up installation and damaged the blind, and then tried to cover it up with stickers!!! On top of that, they also broken part of our chandelier on install - all this hassle and time wasted for something that is going to have to be removed and dumped. Absolute rubbish and a business to be avoided - they are amateurs.

I recently had U blinds instal plantation shutters throughout my entire home. I’m based on the Gold Coast and Kerry the salesman was fabulous and the consummate professional. To say I was nervous after reading these reviews was an understatement. What I can say is everyone from Kerry to office staff to Matt the installer have been outstanding. Great communication, excellent follow up and the finished product is probably the best shutters I’ve ever had and I’ve used varying companies over the years including luxaflex and QLD blinds but u blinds runs rings around the others. I ordered mine early December and they were installed with the 6-8 week timeframe they promised.
Worst service from Dave from Ublinds
Dave came to do quote for 3 security screen doors. Measured and left without mentioning quote. I called office next day and asked for quote as we wanted to get started. He was supposed to email quote that night, but nothing.Rang office and was told they would email him and tell him to get quote sent. Next day, still no quote and was told by rude older lady she would not ask for quote from him as he already been asked for it. Next day still nothing. Worst customer service ever. Avoid at all costs.

I had already paid my deposit before I read these reviews and was very nervous. My blinds were installed yesterday on 5 windows and they look amazing. The installer only took a little over 2 hours to do all 5 windows and the quality of the install was exceptional. I am now glad I did not read these reviews beforehand as I wouldn't have gone with U Blinds and would have paid a lot more as they were the most competative quote I received.

I did have someone come out to quote and gave me some paperwork and then I attempted 5 times to place the order and pay a deposit by phone and email, but no one ever got back to me! Found it a bit strange that they didn't want the job, given it was worth over 5K!

Definitely do not recommend this company. Still waiting for my refund over a year later. Abysmal customer service and processes. Have contacted the owner of the company four times - zero reply.

If I could rate 0 I would. Please do not use this company. We had hesitations after reading the reviews but stupidly went with this company. We signed in September 2023, installation in Dec 2023 and now April 2024 and automatic blinds still do not work. Had installer and company manager of Brisbane store out over 4 times and still no luck.

Romeo is rather unhelpful. Would say anything to get you off the phone. Constant lies of “I’ll call you back”. “I’ll speak to my manager”
Irritating company to say the least. Please for the respect of your own home. Do not let anyone from this company into your house, apartment or living space.
The disrespect for you as a consumer from this lot is unparalleled. Along with the inability to measure and rectify problems. We are all understanding of wait times and the lies and try to put it past us. But this lot is next level disrespectful to honest trades.

Please do your homework and read reviews by those who ordered from this company. Would I use them again? No. Would I recommend them to anyone? No. Avoid U-Blinds at any cost. They lack communication and customer service and don’t deserve your business.
This is how it went for me. Nigel Short came out the next day after I made an enquiry for a quote for new sheers and shutters for our new home. He measured up and gave me the price. They weren’t the cheapest but the wait for others to measure up was a few weeks away. I decided to go with them and placed my order with an 8 week delivery timeframe.
The installer delivered and installed them on time, however after the installer left is when I discovered a big issue.
The wind out windows in the front bedroom couldn’t be accessed. Nigel had ordered recessed frames rather than boxed out ones. I contacted Nigel immediately who said it was what I ordered but no issue, the installer can return to recess the bottom part so I can wind the windows. His words were that it was what they do all the time.
When they finished I inspected and was horrified that my frames were completely ruined. I called Nigel immediately and he told me that is what they do. I sent him photos and his reply was that they did a good job and at least you can open your windows now. He further added that nobody would see it when the shutters were closed. After spending $6000 this response was not good enough. Bear in mind these frames were now chopped to pieces. He reiterated that this was what I ordered and stood firm on that.
I was told by another installer that the frames should have been ordered as ‘face fit’ not recessed so I could open the windows. It’s what is commonly known in the business.
Not getting anywhere with Nigel, we took the matter further and many emails later, I was told the Operations Manager in Queensland would need to inspect the blinds before he would agree to having them replaced.
He came out about 2 months later being mid-September and told me that I got what I ordered which was recessed frames and went on to say the job looked fine. I explained that there was no way I would have ordered frames that fit inside a window to prevent having access to opening the window. He measured up again and said he would approve replacements if that is what we wanted.
So finally after many phone calls back and forth, the bedroom installs are now complete.
At no time did this company admit their mistake. There was no apology for the mistake, delay or inconvenience. They deflected everything back to the me. The only person that I would commend in this absurd debacle was the installer, who kept me as up to date as he could and remained professional and wore the brunt of our frustrations.
So from early June to late November this has been ongoing. Definitely go elsewhere for your plantation shutters.

All these negative reviews on Trustpilot are disconcerting, if I had seen these before I would not have commenced with them, but I must say up till now my experience with U Blinds has been quite positive with the Seven Hills, NSW branch.
Jim Aitken the Sales Manager was a breath of fresh air compared with most other companies that I have dealt with, he was upfront and honest with me and had no high-pressure sales tactics which I really appreciated, he gave me a quote which was very reasonably priced and left me with it to talk over with my wife.
We decided to give U Blinds the job of installing 5 outdoor blinds for our Pergola, they were installed and completed in a prompt manner within 4 weeks, they look good but still need some adjustments, the installer Luke said he will check them out again as soon as possible, so I will update this review when they are adjusted and working to our satisfaction.

Beware Keep away they lie. I have a quote in writing for one price . First it took months and now they over charged me by $700 and made 2 extra sheers I never asked for . Even the curtain they made is way too short . They are so rude and called me a liar . Needless to say it’s getting handed to consumer affairs
Disaster strikes.
This order was paid upfront with half as required. The fitters were in experienced and dishonest. One was particularly abusive and was sent off my property.
This was after they split my patio pole and tried to hide evidence.
It was in my own time I had to chase around and find a qualified builder to repair slit post. I had to pay upfront of course and whait to be reimbursed. This dragged on for months until October.
I found the project manager knew very little about how to source a qualified bulider as this was important with compliance to my building insurance.
I wouldn't recommend this company.

Ublinds most dishonest Company in AU
Ublinds is definitly the most dishonest company I have dealt with in my life. Besides false promises and lies from Sally, the customer service manager in QLD, the directors, specifically Chris Ralph, has no intention to rectify any wrong-doing during a 7 months process. After my case has been handed over to him finally after 6 months of requesting that and stipulating all the issues encountered, his response was: We take these issues Extremely Seriously and Will Not Hesitate to take Necessary Action to Defend our Reputation from Solicitous and Defamatory Comments."
Please see varous reviews about Chris, Sally and UBlinds on the internet BEFORE you engage with buying any product from them. Please also be aware there are undertakings with the ACCC lodged previously about their misleading conduct.
In summary, over an exhausting period of 7 months, I have recieved many faulty products which took up to 8 weeks to replace everytime, incorrect products, bad quality products, extremely bad customer service once the order was placed, false promises and extremely long periods to respond to issues which had to be chased constantly.
Good luck to you if you choose to deal with this company as there are many warnings online against this company.
This would have to be the worst Blind…
This would have to be the worst Blind company in Australia.
Back in 2020 we had 3 outdoor blinds installed and next to those blinds was to be a motorised large awning.
We were told after the initial 3 blinds were installed that the awning blind/material was out of stock or discontinued……we paid over $2,000 for deposit and even though the owner phoned us to send a refund. They never have.
We have emails confirming everything and will post names later.
We did like the woman we talked to with this matter about cancelling the order….she turned around and said…”you can’t cancel”…… some damn company they are….any of our friends that ask about blinds/awning etc we certainly would not recommend these crooks 👍
