Wont send agreed warranty replacement boots.

Bought a relatively expensive pair or hiking boots.
Soles fell apart and Gore-Tex failed after around 12 months of occasional use.
Sent back for warranty repair.
Several weeks later they replied with 'we cant fix your boots'.
Several more weeks passed - 'we will send a replacement, we only have X,Y,Z (different colours) in stock'. I respond with my preference.
Several more weeks go by, 'we don't have those in stock anymore'.
Utter shambles. All colours still available online, so clearly lying, or trying to ship used/returned footwear as my replacement. Now i need to try to force a refund from them.
Buy your outdoor wear elsewhere - Mammut have clearly 'sold-out' their quality, and customer service, like many other once-good brands.

Mammut’s policy over people

I bought a pair of Mammut shoes that were worn only twice over around 1.5 years. During one use in a sandy environment, fine sand became trapped in the shoe's sealed internal layers and cannot be removed by normal cleaning.

The result is pressure points and blisters, making the shoes effectively unusable.

Mammut’s response was that this does not constitute a defect and that the model is “not designed for desert or sandy environments.” There was no clear warning at the point of sale that exposure to sand could permanently compromise the shoe’s usability.

After a long exchange with customer service, no refund or replacement was offered, only a discount voucher requiring further spending. The focus throughout was on defending policy definitions rather than resolving a clear customer headache.

For a brand positioning itself as premium outdoor equipment, this was a disappointing experience. The product issue itself was frustrating, but the way it was handled was even more so. I would think twice before buying Mammut footwear again.

Return - no fault of Mammut

I ordered a product from Mammut just before Christmas, Soon after we discovered we had already purchased one previously. We returned the item and got a full refund, no questions asked. They even refunded the original carriage and covered the cost of the return. Excellent service !

They might claim good reviews on their…

They might claim good reviews on their site, but not on trust pilot, boots that leak under 2 weeks old, there is no warranty claim, if 30 days then yes, but 2 or 3 weeks, they should send a label back straight away that’s our right, and then we should be able to send back, with immediate refund.
Clearly what they sell are defective goods, I’ve emailed their CEO and have put in writing, if i wait longer than 2 weeks i will raise a dispute with my bank to get my money back, they are a dishonest company and need to be up on the consumer rights act 2015
1 more thing i put a review on their site, and from 1 neg the rest was positive, well mine was not, and not printed on their theirs a surprise.
You have rights so go to your bank and raise a dispute.

GTX Unstuck

We read all the glowimg reviews on the Mammut website. Two weeks ago we ordered two pairs of boots from Mammut.
I started wearing the Sertig 11 MID GTX. Taking our dog for walks. The furthest distance about 5 km over footpaths around our village. This mornings walk was 3km. Walking across the village green the right boot started to leak. When I got home I had one wet sock.
We contacted the company and and we are now awaiting a return label as they say its a warranty claim. The label is promised sometime next week.
In my opinion boots that last less than two weeks are not a warranty claim. But are defective.
Apparently it will take a week to 10 days to assess the boots after their return.
A common problem is the waterproofing is entirely reliant on the glue attaching the goretex.

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered several items for a hiking holiday. Amounting to £550. The items have still not been delivered weeks later. The tracking clearly shows I did not receive the order. Apparently Mammut can’t refund me or re-issue the order until they have completed an investigation. So I am being held to ransom for their inefficiency. Customer service no help at all Do not use this company unless you are willing to part with £££ and wait for weeks for a refund. Absolutely shambolic

Duncan 22 rucksack

I bought a Duncan 22 rucksack, poorly designed with bungees meant it swung about no matter how adjusted. Mammut asked me to to pay for return postage and a 50% discount off online store. After 2 months of back and forth the matter is unresolved

They have been great

They have been great. I had an issue with my boots and they immediately responded to my emails. I will definitely be a return customer with Mammut. David was a great guy to work with.

Excellent customer service

I bought a Convey hardshell waterproof jacket a year ago. It kept me drier in pouring rain, more than any other waterproof jacket I've owned in decades. After washing it started leaking. Customer service responded immediately and suggested I treat it with Nixwax Tech Wash. It still leaked after treating, so I emailed and without question, Mammut replaced it with a comparable jacket (Convey was no longer available). I don't know if they're taken the negative reviews to heart about poor customer service, but my experience has been 5 star+. They responded immediately and sent a new jacket.

Superb

Purchased a new jacket from Mammut. Was shipped from Germany to here in the UK. Absolutely faultless. Jacket is and looks as described on their website. Exactly what I wanted. Item was dispatched quickly and was delivered to me within 4 days. I've nothing but good things to say. Well done Mammut.

No kwaliteit

Last year, I bought a very expensive jacket for €600 from the Mammut brand. Within just six weeks, it was damaged on the inside, with seams coming undone. My jacket had to be sent for repairs, and 1.5 months later—when winter was almost over—it was finally returned to me. I barely wore it.

Now, in my second winter, the exact same issue has occurred. In December, I sent it back for repairs again, and now January has passed, and I STILL don’t have my jacket.

I will never buy anything from you again, and I will never purchase the Mammut brand again.

Nova IV Mid LTH Women

Ordered Nova IV Mid LTH Women, cost £170.00. They were waterproof to begin with, after a couple of months stopped being waterproof, customers services say that they aren't waterproof. You spend that much money on a pair of walking boots and they are not waterproof?????

Avoid buying on line from this company

Avoid buying on line from this company. My item was dispatched from Germany but never arrived. Despite the tracker showing it ‘with carrier’ two months later Mammut would not immediately issue a refund. Much correspondence ensued, most of it infuriatingly irrelevant and confusing. After twelve weeks I finally received a refund. If you enjoy Cortisol and having your time wasted, these guys are great but if you just want some kit, look elsewhere.

Another mammut that will soon be extinct

I wish i had read trustpilot before placing an order, this might be one of the worst rated companies ive ever used lol. So about Mammut, well what a completely unnecessary display of monumental incompetence and disgraceful customer service. This dire excuse of a company sent my items using GLS and DHL 2 sets of initials that will forever put me off buying from any company that displays them and you should avoid them too. Mammut told me that their shipping had 'accidentally sent my items to spain' instead of the UK (apparently) before returning them back to mammut, mammut also stated that an immediate refund would be made, but days after and no such refund has been made, I asked them to let me know by email once they had made the refund. They then sent another email reply stating they will now only make a refund once they have the items back. Now I understand this is the process on a regular returns policy but when they have shipped the stuff to the wrong country themselves and their shipping agent has already returned the stuff according to mammut, what are these 'people' doing other than adding fuel to their own fire? What are they trying to gain by forcing me to wait until they have concluded their own farce before returning my payment. This is entirely of their own making and it will be interesting to watch this company spiral down the proverbial plughole over the coming months and years. This is definitely a company to avoid, a filthy skidmark of a company you should avoid displaying on your gear. Interesting they decided on using an extinct animal to represent them as they are sure to go the same way eventually. Perhaps sacking the entire UK staff would be a good start and delay the inevitable extinction.

I sent my Mammut Barryvox S2 back as…

I sent my Mammut Barryvox S2 back as part of the recall on the 12th November, when I tracked it on Royal Mail it said it is at Preston MC on the 14th November, no further details, today being the 21st November, Mammut promised a 7 day turnaround, either fix the fault or issue a new one. I contacted Mammut Customer Service today by online chat and they said to contact Royal Mail there is nothing they can do, even when I suggested that they should contact Mammut UK to see if they had received my S2. Really really unhelpful.
Update 21 Nov at 151, Royal Mail not helpful either, i can submit a claim on the 22nd if hasn't been delivered. I can't find a contact number for D&B Comer Ltd in Burnley where the returns had to go to.
UPDATE 29 Nov 24. I have received a replacement S2 from Mammut today in the post, which is great. Which I take it to mean that my old one was received by them - 'all's well that ends well'.

Shocking customer service for…

Shocking customer service for UK01515845. I returned the order using their postage. It was lost in transit, but marked as delivered to them. They said they couldn't refund me. They had to do an investigation, then they found it, then they said it would take 3 days to review the items. I've had to wait nearly a month for a near £700 refund. I've spent thousands with them, wont be spending anymore.

Terrible returns - don't buy from them

I bought some boots from Mammut - they were too tight in the toe box so returned them. Heard nothing for a while so contacted support and they opened an investigation. Then the boots turn back up on my door step saying they can't accept returns for fit issues if they've been worn outside - they have not.

Not impressed at all with this company.

Waterproof Walking Shoes Leak

"Waterproof" walking shoes leaked soon after I got them. I was told to post them for repair at my own expense. Customer Service is bad beyond words. I wanted a refund. I was sent a replacement pair of shoes that were values at £100 less that the RRP of the shows I bought.
