Duplicate Payment Taken
Placed an order on 6th of July which was paid for through my bank and delivered on 16th July. Then another payment was taken out and when I checked I saw that another order had been placed. When I contacted them I was told it was my fault! Despite not receiving any order confirmation until the day I raised the complaint they still stated that it is my error! So out of pocket due to no fault of my own. For this I will not give a good review and very disappointed.

We have reviewed your order history and can confirm that two separate orders were placed a week apart.
Both orders were submitted through the website using the same details and payment method, but they were separate transactions.
When you contacted us, we carried out checks to investigate whether there had been any website or payment system issues. We could not find any errors or reported issues, and as we do not store customers' card details, there is no way for our system to automatically recreate or duplicate an order.
We appreciate that receiving an unexpected additional payment was concerning, which is why we resent the second order confirmation to help clarify what had happened. Unfortunately, by the time you contacted us, the second personalised item had already been produced and was in transit, meaning it could not be cancelled.
We are always happy to investigate any concerns and support our customers where we can. While we understand your frustration, our checks confirmed that the second order was submitted separately through the website.

Over the moon with our slate sign.
We are over the moon with our slate number sign. The website was easy to navigate and, once we decided on a sign, it was easy to customise. There was also the option to pay a small fee for the sign to be oiled before dispatch, which we are glad that we opted for, as it protects the sign and enhances the appearance. Park Avenue Slate house sign was perfect!
I ordered the Park Avenue Slate (35cm x18cm) with house number to the left and the house name to the right in Playfairdisplay font. I chose for the deeply engraved lettering to be painted gold & for the sign to be finished with oil to make the slate darker against the lettering. I was very pleased with the result. The sign was excellent quality and definitely enhanced the entrance to the house, clearly displaying the address for anyone needing to locate it in a village where there are few house numbers; most have names. One thing I would say, to assist anyone else buying a sign like this, is that the standaway-from-the-wall fixing kit comes with screw head caps/covers. While these are great at hiding the screw heads and match in well with the oiled slate they are made of very hard plastic and do not click into place over the screw collars provided easily. In fact we couldn't get them to fix in place at all. However, we found submerging these screw covers in hot water from the kettle for a few minutes softened them enough to click them over the collars without any difficulty at all.
