Rapid Tools And Consumables trades online as uktools.tools, supplying belt grinders and the parts, wheels and consumables that go with them, alongside supplies for knife making and woodworking. We are based in Cheshire and sell to hobbyists, makers and workshops across the UK. Our range is built around the 2x72 inch belt grinder. As well as complete machines, we stock drive wheels, tracking wheels, contact wheels, surface wheel systems, backing plates and abrasive belts, so you can build, upgrade or maintain a grinder from one place. For knife makers we also supply the smaller tools and accessories used at the bench, including scribes, vises and sharpening stones. Every product on the site has a written description covering the specification, what it fits and how it is used, and we are happy to answer questions before you buy. If you are unsure which grinder, wheel or belt suits the work you want to do, our Belt Grinder Buying Guide and FAQ page explains the options in plain English, and you can also contact us directly at info@uktools.tools. Larger items such as belt grinders are sent by pallet, and smaller consumables are dispatched separately. If you have bought from us, we would really value your honest feedback on how your order, delivery and product worked out, as it helps other makers choose with confidence.

Bought the laser cut 72ins belt…

Bought the laser cut 72ins belt grinder. Took a little longer to be despatched than I had anticipated. However, communication with Edward was excellent. The grinder is solid, and very well built, very happy with it. It’s very quick and easy to change belts. The motor is substantial and is easier powerful enough and the variable speed is a real positive feature. Very happy with my purchase.

Thanks Kevin, really glad the grinder’s earning its keep and that you’re getting on well with the variable speed. Sorry for the wait on dispatch. We were waiting on a delivery of stock to arrive, but we’re pleased it was worth it. Enjoy the grinder, and if you have any questions, just give us a shout. — Edmond
