Took our money in full, left us with many items missing after two visits and I had to both waterproof and complete our studio at my expense before it was written off. Window, cladding and other stuff had to be sourced to make good.

Having had many promises that things would be made good I am now on the hunt for full redress along with damages for stress caused etc.

Can anybody help with tracking these clowns down as they’ve taken my £2500 deposit and won’t return any calls; ideally looking for an address to give

This is a criminal organisation that we have been ripped off by, as have many others. Our solicitor is currently trying to reclaim over £2000 in undelivered items from an incomplete self assembly garden room. This is how they operate. You may be thinking that they sound cheap and that they have a few great reviews? Well check all reviews, not just the few they have selected. We ignored the several bad reviews. To start with, don't expect items on time. We had two deliveries, both later than specified and missing lots of items. Then they lied repeatedly about when the missing items would arrive. We initially gave them loads of slack and sympathy. They eventually promised that they would pay for the missing items as we had to source them ourselves. They didn't. Corrine or Alan will not bother to respond when it doesn't suit them. We sank huge amounts of time and money into this untrustworthy company and deeply regret it. Please don't make the same mistake we did and keep well clear of Under The Sun Living.

We are completely devastated by the service we have received from Under the Sun Living. We received the frame of our cabin in April 2022 (already delayed by a month) and are still waiting for the other half in July 2022. They have taken full payment from us promising that items would be delivered promptly, however we now know that the company is selling their assets. We have tried to be understanding of this situation but we have had absolutely no communication from Corrine and Alan for the last month.

We are really concerned to see that other customers are in the same boat but also that some customers seem to have received cabins in May 2022 (looking at the reviews below) with delays of only a few days.

We feel like our our only option now is to look into our consumer rights and take legal action.

Recently taken delivery of my Solis garden studio which is now my fabulous beauty salon. They came recommended by a neighbour who had one installed in 2018. We made a few modifications for which Under the sun living couldn't be more accommodating. Overall it was a very straight forward process with a few days delay on delivery which wasn't the end of the world. We are very happy with our purchase and can highly recommend to anyone looking for their own garden studio :)

Recently completed my self assembly studio and am absolutely loving it. The materials used and build quality are great, it's very quick to assemble although you will need a bit of muscle as it's more substantial than I was expecting - which isn't a bad thing. An assembly video would be great but the written instructions still worked well and I had a bit of guidance from Al who was really helpful. Overall I'm really pleased with my studio and will be recommending. Thanks again.

I purchased studio from "Under the un living" and I can say that this was one of best decisions ever. The studio is amazing, everything agreed was done spot on from delivery date to smallest details requested. I even needed last minute small adjustment and it was done with no extra charge by great and productive on site team.

Please beware of what you’re getting yourself into when ordering from this company. While they seem like lovely people, and this is nothing against them personally what we received isn’t what we paid for.

The studio was originally due to be delivered on 5th October, however for various reasons it didn’t arrive until late November. Various different excuses were given as to the reason why delivery needed to be pushed back.

The night before the studio was finally delivered we were informed the windows were the wrong configuration. Whilst we were given the option to wait to have the correct windows installed We decided to accept the studio as it was, as who knows how long it would have been otherwise.

When the studio eventually arrived at 5pm one dark November evening, it was erected in the dark by Allen and his colleagues. After they’d left, we discovered various items were missing including the floor, the internal door, a whole electrical pack for the second internal room, among other things.

To help make out studio last longer, we paid extra to have box profile metal cladding around the back and two sides.

In the cold light of day we discovered the back panel of the studio resembled a patchwork quilt, made up of bits of cladding bolted shoddily together rather than one whole piece.

Only when I called Allan to query this, was I told he was fully aware and promised to return to replace the cladding. It was replaced, albeit a week later.

Some of the Other missing items including the floor were also delivered at the same time.

Whilst adding the insulation we found there was a gap all the way along where the side of the studio meets the roof. Allans suggestion was to ‘cut down 2x4 and fill it in’. I’m not entirely happy with having to cut down bits of timber to fill in gaps in a building we’ve paid nearly £10k for. Surely it’s not unreasonable to expect the building to fit together properly when you’ve paid that amount of money.

Whilst installing electrics we have also found various plug sockets and lights missing which we’ve had to purchase separately from Screwfix just adding to the original cost. I haven’t bothered getting back in touch with Under the Sun Living to tell them this as I’ll probably need to wait another month before they send them out. I’m still waiting on a piece of trim for the door - which I am doubtful will ever arrive.

With hindsight I wish we’d paid the extra and ordered from a more reputable, reliable company. Overall, if you have all the time in the world, can deal with all the different excuses as to why they can’t deliver on the days they’ve arranged and are happy to just buy the extra missing components then go for it, otherwise - give them a miss it’s not worth the hassle.

Retrospective entry due to delay with covid.

My family had a home office built by Under The Sun Living. The product and service from the staff exceeded all my family’s expectations, it was as though they couldn’t do enough for us. The build schedule was adhered to and completed within the time frame. I have phoned the company since my purchase as many of my friends have complimented me on the office, the customer service that the staff at Under The Sun Living provided continues to be of the same quality with my friends. Although my friends purchase is midway through completion they are and have been continuously happy with both the workmanship and the friendliness of the staff. My recommendation if you are thinking of a home office, gym or garden room constructed use Under The Sun Living you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic garden studio, we viewed a few manufacturers before going with Under the sun living. Our builders were impressed with the quality and materials used and we couldn't be happier with the finished studio.

We experienced everything the previous reviewer described, but worse. This company is an absolute shower of disorganisation, making every imaginable excuse for their incompetence at every step of the process.

We purchased a Solis self-build kit 6 months ago - delivery was due in July but was delayed twice by them, and when it finally arrived in October we waited for it to arrive on the agreed date - after a raft of barely believable excuses it finally arrived 48 hours late, but only about one third of it. The rest turned up in the dark that night, and a third delivery turned up nearly a week later to address a very long list of missing items - some of the omissions were staggering - the floor, and the glass for the door are just two examples. There is still one item missing but I’ve given up and bought it myself now - as the previous reviewer said, once you pay your final invoice (and they won’t unload until you do) you won't hear from them again - their Email inbox is full, rejecting any attempts to communicate. I have a mobile number but funnily it never gets answered.

I cannot over emphasise how unprofessional this company has been. It was clear that even though they had our money for 6 months, the build took place in a rush at the very last second - it looked as though they were still building it while we waited for delivery, the panels were rushed and damaged in places.

They also don’t deliver what is described on their website - they didn’t undertake a mock assembly in their workshop - the frames are not pre-drilled, and because of that some of the cladding doesn’t meet up where it’s meant to between panels, it's just been hastily pinned on in the workshop in isolation from the other panels - whereas the panel formwork should have been assembled first and then clad as described - it’s a mess I've got to find a solution to. They also do not 'install, silicone and bead window & door frames' - you’ll be doing all that yourself. And it doesn’t have a coat of water proof stain - it's just untreated timber and they leave you with a can of stain, no preservative. The potential for timber rot is a worry.

I also wonder why there are two glowing reviews from 2017 and nothing else until 2021.

I hope I have discouraged you from using this company, save yourself the hassle and all the work of covering for their inadequacies when you do the build.

Buyer beware -
We purchased a self-build solis hoping that we would not have the faff of having to source all of the materials ourselves, we loved the concept and it seemed extremely affordable.

The companies time keeping for delivery wasn’t great. We were waiting over two days (each time we were due items) and as there is no way to contact them only through email (as no one answers the telephone) we were back and forward several times looking to get an ETA for each delivery.

They are lovely people but organisation is clearly lacking. When we did receive our delivery of the self build solis we were missing 4 or 5 different things and some items had been damaged in transit as they had clearly been in a rush getting items sent to us. Since they don’t provide an itinerary list for what you will receive nor did they tell us what was on back order - we were back and forward on email again during our building of the unit as we noticed things missing. We even went out and sourced some items ourselves and charged them back as we couldn’t get hold of them.

When it came to the final bill - there were window beads missing and I was told they would be on back order. As soon as I processed final payment I never heard from them again… and I’ve made several attempts to contact them on email and via their Facebook account,

The final product is nice albeit we didn’t receive all parts.

Al and Corrine and their team built my studio last year for me. Not only were they a delight to work with in the planning stages and execution but also more than happy to discuss and amend right the way through the process.
Right from initial consultation I felt I was in good hands. They offered useful and insightful advice along every step of the way and I was always 100% sure about each phase of what was happening. There were a couple of small issues after the studio was erected and with no quibbles Al and Corrine came to sort them out as soon as they were able. In fact the after-care service has been so good that I am planning on erecting another studio with them next year.
The description in pricing of the studios is fair and my studio works wonderfully for its purpose as a treatment room. But what makes them stand above other companies is the personal service and dedication of the small team. I would not hesitate to recommend them and wish them every success with their business.

We were slightly hesitant at first to go with an new company, but their customer service and professional approach put our mind at ease. The price was almost half that of what we were quoted by other more established companies and value for money was outstanding. We love our new home office and have had many compliments from friends and family over the past few months. The build went smoothly and the team were a pleasure to have on site.
