I would give them less stars if…
I would give them less stars if available. I arranged an interstate move through this company. I was quoted one price. They finally showed up 5 days late for the pick up. As it turns out, they subcontracted the move to another company and it cost me an additional $5000. Communication was poor and rare. I called at least 10 times and the personnel answering were extremely rude( except for one lady). I would not recommend them for any type of move. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!
I specifically asked if they used their…
I specifically asked if they used their own people and I was told yes that they had their own people. They contracted my move out to a company from New Jersey. Neither worker could speak English. Then My delivery showed up 3 days late on a different truck and most of my boxes were opened then taped shut. I had missing and damaged property and received no help at all rectifying the situation.
United Global Van Lines is the WORST…
United Global Van Lines is the WORST moving company ever. They deserve zero stars! Do not use them, do not call them, stay far away from them. I booked a move with them to which they were 12 hours late and when they did show up they showed up in a rented U-Haul truck with one driver to move an entire 2 bedroom home. The driver was high and all he cared about was needing a charger for his phone. He had no supplies and no idea where he was driving to. No paperwork and nothing to prove he was from United Global. They are still attempting to keep my $1100 and every time I call they give me the runaround or hang up on me. They are a sleezy company and they will lie to you in a blink of an eye. A few people to stay away from at that company: Casey (sales rep), Jerri (QA), and Leanne (Customer service manager).
Thumb Ups!!
They made unpacking easier by placing furniture in the right rooms. That saved me from rearranging heavy pieces later on my own.
DON’T USE that company
DON’T USE that company. They only great in collecting money. It’s a broker company. They great until you sign and pay, after that there is no communication with your representative. Movers arrived for us with 2 days delay at midnight. The guy in charge-under influence of drugs. We paid for „white gloves” service. They only had mid size boxes. Not even a tape. Things already broken on my stairs because they couldn’t tape the boxes. The rest packed in MY trash bags. Art, furniture thrown just like that on the truck. The leader of the group refused the work half way through the night and has gotten aggressive with us ( the broker company refused to pay him) When we contacted one of the CEO’s of the company he was completely drunk. After trying to recorded the conversation he stopped responding to our calls. Please safe yourself the stress. We received our things but art and furniture an lots of other things were damaged.
Unorganized, Dishonest, and Sneaky
I recently saw how badly this company handled a move. They started with a low estimate, but the cost went up dramatically after the fact. Terms of the move even changed again after arriving at the new location, and despite listing belongings being moved, they stated it wasn’t disclosed to them what the move entailed in terms of personal belongings.
They don’t handle the moves themselves, but instead pass the work to another company for a fraction of the fee. Communication was poor the entire time, and their customer service was dismissive—often hanging up or refusing to let concerns be heard.
Overall, the experience showed a pattern of dishonesty and disorganization. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. Do not use them. They luer you in with a low price then once your items are on the truck they ask for 2x estimate. How can they blow an estimate so bad. Joe Zeller / Jerri Smith / David and Jason from accounting are all bad people. Do not use this company. They contract out your move to lowest bidder.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They damaged most of my furniture and do not stand behind their work. Showed up late, increased the price by 60%, items missing. AGAIN. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS
I would rate them a zero if I could! They are a scam!
I would rate them a zero if I could. Very unprofessional. They almost doubled the price day of so I didn’t have time to change movers. I didn’t use more space like they were trying to say I did. I asked one of the movers who had not communicated with the team that did the pick up and told me I had used extra space and he told me I used 600 cubic feet give or take 100 cubic feet. Whereas the pickup team told me I used 1100 which is why the price was doubled. They also didn’t adequately box the stuff they said they would. The items were not completely covered. Some of my stuff was broken upon arrival. The guy who performed the drop off refused to help me get my couch up to my apartment because it didn’t fit in the elevator. He straight up left without the job being done. They make you pay with Zelle so that you cannot dispute the charges. They WILL scam you. I tried to contact customer service multiple times to speak to a manager. She said she would call me back the next day after reviewing some stuff and never did. When I continued trying to follow up with customer service I was hung up on and talked to like I was a dumb child. They are so unprofessional. You will have the worst possible and most stressful experience if you use them. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Great Job!!
The movers handled my things carefully and got everything into the new place on time without any issue.
moving from Dallas to Arizona
moving from Dallas to Arizona. Changes in price on the day of the pickup, we paid for more charges when we received the furniture. The 75" Sony TV was broken, trying to contact the company by email and phone, but no one contacted me back.
Bait and Switch
Company quoted my wife and I $2300 for a move. We recieved this verbally and in writing. We discussed how many items we had and were assured that it fell within the 300 cubic feet and they they would NOT be subcontracting the movers. Well, that was a bold faced lie. We were informed that after we made our nonrefundable $800 deposit that they were actually going to charge us $4200 because the items were at 600 cu ft. We spoke to David and havent been able to get in touch with him by phone or text in days. They don't care. They got a free $800 payment. Bait and switch. Stay far away from these scam artists
I had an absolutely terrible experience with United Global Van Lines and would strongly advise others to stay away.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with United Global Van Lines and would strongly advise others to stay away. What was supposed to be a professional and smooth move turned into a nightmare.
Delays: My delivery was delayed by weeks with no clear updates or accountability.
Damaged Items: Several of my belongings arrived broken or scratched, including valuable furniture.
Overcharging: I was quoted one price and then hit with unexpected fees and charges that were never explained.
Poor Communication: Getting in touch with anyone was nearly impossible. Calls and emails went unanswered for days, if not weeks.
Ignored Complaints: I’ve submitted multiple complaints and have yet to receive a single meaningful response.
Subcontracted Without Notice: Worst of all, they subcontracted my move to another company without informing me—this company was even more unprofessional and careless.
This company is disorganized, dishonest, and completely lacking in customer service. I regret ever trusting them with my move.
⭐ 1 Star – Deeply Disappointing Experience with UNITED GLOBAL VAN LINES
My experience with United Global Van Lines was profoundly unsatisfactory and fell far below the standards one would expect from a professional moving service.
From the outset, the process was plagued by significant issues:
Excessive Delays: My delivery was delayed well beyond the agreed-upon timeframe, with little to no proactive communication or explanation.
Damaged Property: Several of my belongings arrived damaged, including valuable and irreplaceable items, indicating a lack of care in handling.
Unjustified Charges: I was quoted one price initially, only to be billed significantly more without clear justification or prior notice.
Lack of Communication: Attempts to reach the company for updates or clarification were met with silence. Emails and phone calls went unanswered for extended periods.
Ignored Complaints: Despite multiple formal complaints, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or resolution.
Unannounced Subcontracting: Without my consent or prior notification, my move was subcontracted to another company whose service was equally unprofessional and unsatisfactory.
This experience has been both stressful and costly. I would strongly caution others against using United Global Van Lines for their moving needs.
Sad experience. From the time I made the first payment there was nothing but issues they showed up 7am attempted to jack up price I could not contact anyone at that time in the morning. Scam
Don't use this company it's a scam. Ok unpacked things missing. Very stressful experience please don't use them.
ramiz had service
This is an amazing “new” find. In a party of 7, we were able to move various items - cheesecakes, cakes and ice cream. Everything was delicious! trucks where clean and relaxing. It was also very busy! Which is a great thing to see!! I guess because it was busy one of the two staff member seemed annoyed - maybe he was just having a bad day because it was very busy. Being nice and having a smile goes a long way. The girl working there also noticed this behavior of ramiz and quickly came and helped make some different hot drinks. Like I said maybe the guy was having a bad day - this under no circumstances reflects on the quality of service there. Place is a gem overall.
A deeply frustrating and dishonest…
A deeply frustrating and dishonest moving experience — beware.
I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with United Global Van Lines that I feel obligated to share. I hired them to move a small, not-full 5x5 storage unit from Ocala, FL to Bloomington, IN. I was assured—both verbally and in writing—that the quote I received was all-inclusive and would not change, as my items totaled well under the 250 cubic feet they quoted.
However, after my items were loaded and the truck was already in transit, the driver called my husband and demanded an additional $154.50 via Venmo, claiming an overage based on a weigh station reading. He refused to deliver my belongings unless we paid, which felt like coercion and completely violated the agreement. We were forced to pay under pressure just to receive our own property.
Trying to resolve this issue has been a nightmare. United Global Van Lines directed me to a claims process through a third-party site that does not even support the moving company (APG Delivery Exchange) that actually did the move. When I contacted them again, they sent me to yet another claims site, which I tried to submit a claim, but their website is having issues and doesn't load after filling all of the information. I also discovered that the moving company APG Delivery Exchange did not provide us with an official document and contract that they were supposed to give us. It was chaotic during the loading process after one of their trucks broke on the day they were going to pick up our stuff. I’ve been bounced around repeatedly, phone calls are often dropped or unanswered or go to "full Mailbox that does not accept new messages", and to this day—no resolution, no accountability, and no refund.
This experience felt dishonest, disorganized, and exploitative. I would not recommend this moving broker that is not even a moving company itself, but a company that collects initial deposit and connects you with a mover who you don't know who that will be until the day they show up to get your stuff.
I strongly urge others to read the fine print, get everything in writing, and be very cautious before trusting their guarantees. I had a written guarantee that due to a limited small storage there would be no additional costs. This was not the case and no-one is able to talk to me about this - they just send you to a third party claim websites that don't even support the actual moving company.
Scam they have not been around 20 years…
Scam they have not been around 20 years they are NOT a moving company. If you want your stressful moving day ruined and ripped off hire them.
Do Not Use United Global Van Lines
Now that my things have been delivered, I feel comfortable writing this review of United Global Van Lines. My advice, stay far away from them. They are a broker and not a mover and, as such, can and will bid your job out to any fly-by-night mover they can find. Our move was done by Seal Pack Van Lines who turned out to be a legit very small company and were easy to work with (they actually answered the phone), but many important items were damaged when delivered (they have claimed they will reimburse for the broken items. We have not submitted our paperwork yet). However, they were complicit in charging $1,000 more than the original estimate. We were told we had 300 cu. ft. to be moved. In reality, our belongings wouldn’t have filled more than half of a U-Haul van.
Back to United Global Van Lines. They are nothing but a sales company, impossible to work with after you have signed the contract and paid your money. They are unreachable and unhelpful, basically disappearing despite saying they “will be with you, supporting you throughout your move.” Jerri was the primary offender. She misled me about available dates and ghosted me when Seal Pack called us and said they would be doing the move in 4 hours on the originally requested date which caused us to scramble to get ready and rush to be at the apartment for pick up. I also had questions about payment to the mover, but, of course, I never heard from her to respond to my concerns. Just to be clear, I tried to reach her by text and phone during business hours.
I tried to reach the main number to no avail. Finally, after numerous tries, I did speak to yet another salesperson following pick up. They claimed they could not answer my questions and would get a manager to call me. I even scheduled a time for a phone call. I was by the phone at the appointed time. They never called.
Do not use them unless you are fond of heartburn, panic, confusion, and cost increases.
Stay away United global is the same company as We Move 4 you, Brite Star, and North American. They’re all one star now why he changes names every year and he will continue to do so. So far there is a
I have worked and dealt with some horrible companies but United Global owned by Junior Alexis is truly an evil person. He destroys people’s lives lies to his employees and tricks them into believing they are offering this amazing service and the moment they question anything about robbing people they are not only fired but he steals there paychecks. There is 20 plus people that have reached out saying he did not pay them and finally a class action has been filed. His ego and narcissistic ways are going finally catch up with him because he’d rather go through the courts and Spend 100x times what it would cost him to just pay people there hard earned salary. He is such a narcissistic egotistical maniac that he’d rather lose his everything then just do the right thing. He puts people on the street with zero remorse and at the same time completely takes advantage of every single client. He has clients believe that UGVLis great moving company, they take a deposit and then they call a few days before the move and take even more money and when the actual moving company shows up that is usually a really cheap low rated company that is OK with picking up these jobs knowing they’ve been underpriced. And when they show up they Break the news that they have yet received any funds towards your move . So people pay thousands and thousands of dollars to be set up with a horrible carrier and that’s when they go through another hell and the moves are usually a disaster move from trucks to trucks and warehouses people stuff get scattered they wait 30, 40,50 even 60 days to receive deliveries sometimes don’t receive them at all and always the load is usually damaged. This man has been robbing people for years, ruining their lives while he lives in a mansion and owns 30 properties. It never has worked hard days working in his life. I refuse to believe this man doesn’t know his day is gonna come because no one’s stupid enough to think that they will just leave this earth without having to answer to God. So far 300 people have joined the group all putting their mind together to figure out a way to not only shut this man down but to get reimbursement for the thousands so many people have lost across the United States. Many of these people are clients and many are employees but all have suffered at the hands of Junior. He has truly become to believe that he is unstoppable to the point where he’s not even careful anymore. He screws people over and then will put it in writing via text, laugh in there face and then antagonizes them into attempting to get help from law-enforcement or the DOT. I truly believe once the state attorney’s office has hundreds of complaints in front of them all for Juniors crimes They will finally shut him down and it will not take much to put him in prison.
