United Pro Van Line - IT'S A SCAM!!

United Pro Van Line, IT"S A SCAM!! They are the moving broker and NOT the actual moving company. The quote they gave us was Bait and Switch!! We took pictures of all the items needed to move and told them to make sure the quote is the exact price we were willing to pay. They quoted us $1800; but when the actual mover showed and told us $3200!! There is a big difference between $1800 and $3200, don't you think? Again, we took pictures of all the items, and send them both text messages and emails to ensure the price is exactly what we agreed on.. We lost $700 and they would not return our deposit. DO NOT USE THEM!! Find a real moving company and NOT Brokers. So MAD.

You had additional items that were not listed on your inventory page and a substantial amount of packing that needed to be performed by the movers which in turn will cost for add'l labor and supplies. Packing materials are not free of charge. Also reported, items to be transported are washer/dryer appliances which are considered bulky items and glass top that is fragile which requires speciality services. We understand that there were additional charges you were not expecting, however each of these topics are all listed in your Moving Policy provided by UPVL. Due to your decision not to proceed forward, you will find in your policy that not moving forward with the move when a moving crew is at your residence is considered a Refusal of Service and therefore the deposit is not refundable. Our Support Staff has gone over the Policy with you multiple times to show you where it is printed in writing and where you have agreed to the Terms & Conditions. We are always available to discuss the matter again if you are interested, please utilize our Toll-free number and our Agents can assist you.

I have a statement to make regarding…

I have a statement to make regarding this mover company. The worst company I have never deal with ripped off and scam. I spoke with the Broker he quote me the price exactly there is no extra items base on pics ect upon the mover came to pick up the inventories he charged me extra a thousand and demand that if I don’t pay they will not move my inventories so I did contact the broker they have not respond to me at the time. The mover just took of I am from California I wasn’t there so next day I contact Julian the office manager lie and make a statement I canceled how the world I would cancel it’s doesn’t make sense. They didn't refund my money I attempted to contact them they block my number. Before you contact make sure you do yourself a research. They really a scam

Horrible experience

Totally untrustworthy. Constant BS. Do not return calls. Con Job from start. NO customer service. 30 days out still can't even get a delivery date. Next call wil be to USDOT.
Of course they can't find the customer with my name...more proff of the level of incompetence !!!

Absolutely Awful!! SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

Absolutely Awful!!! LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS ENTIRE OPERATION IS A BIG SCAM. ANY POSITIVE REVIEW HERE MUST BE PAID!!! I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception here. If there was an option for negative stars, that's what this joke of a company would deserve.
Where do I even begin. Moving from New Jersey to North Carolina and we were given an initial quote of $1600. Upon arrival of the movers, this figure doubled to over $3000. Apparently the moving coordinator we spoke to significantly miscalculated the cubic footage we'd need in order to lock us into a lower price and secure our business. With the arrival of the movers and time constraints, it was basically an ambush. You could either pay the inflated costs or start looking for a different mover at the last minute. We didn't have much of an option. After deciding to bite the bullet and move forward, the truck arrived a few days later. In the original contract and which was reiterated verbally numerous times, this was a door to door service. The movers in NC were now demanding an additional $350 to move the stuff into the apartment. We obviously refused since the abuse had become overwhelming. They left our stuff in the hallway. Never in my life have I felt so violated and disrespected by a company. On every possible level they disappointed.

First, we would like to apologize that you didn`t have a favorable experience during your move, that is never our objective.

We reviewed the phone call with your sales rep, and yes 2 queen mattresses were mentioned along with everything else that was on your inventory list of items to be transported. During the verification process we asked "is the inventory list correct at this time". The answer to this question was "yes".
All additional fees are listed on your estimate under "Understanding your Estimate" 2nd paragraph "Additional fees and Accessorial Services" this includes the long carry fee. We asked during the call if a truck could get to within 100 feet of the entrance, the response was yes. Upon delviery, this ended up not being the case and as per the above mentioned section, additional long carry charges would then apply to which you then refused.

You had a binding to not exceed estimate with United Pro Van lines based on the items that were given to your estimator upon booking. If any additional pieces, packing services, cubic feet or labor services are added to those quoted, the customer shall be charged for these services. In view of the fact that there were extra items, cubic feet and or services at the origin location then additional charges apply accordingly.

We understand that this was a fast move for you. We are unsure of the circumstances surrounding your move but we certainly sympathize that it is a hectic time in our customer`s lives. Usually reservations are booked at minimum a few weeks in advance so additional precautions are taken to prevent overages, however with only a few days notice this ended up negating those measures. You're more than welcome to call customer service at any time, which I see you've done so a few times already. All of that said, we wish you well and good luck in your new home.

Great Help!

Had to get a quick, emergency move completed right around the holidays. With the holidays around - made it hard to find a group to move me in the time I needed. I was lucky to get on the phone with Tony and he was able to get the info he needed from me and price out the move. Although the pricing was more than I wanted to spend initially- Tony made things very clear and understanding for me as I dont move alot. The pickup went fairly smooth (only because they were about 45 minutes behind schedule, but with it being the day after christmas thats okay with me). The crew got my items swiftly up to Virginia quickly and most importantly- in one piece! Quite a different experience than I have had with movers in the past. Thanks again Tony and the United Pro Van Lines team!
