I’ve never left a 1-star review before

I’ve never left a 1-star review before, but my experience with Unit Garage was so bad, it deserves it.

I ordered a part for my BMW Ninet Roadster and paid €217. They sent the wrong item, which their own sales manager Roberto Aloi admitted in an email on June 23, 2025. He confirmed it wasn’t correct and promised to send the right link — so this was clearly their mistake.

Following their return instructions, I sent the item back and paid €69.03 for return shipping and €89.06 in customs fees — adding up to €158.86 in extra costs.

They later claimed to refund €185, but I never received it — and they are now refusing to refund the full amount. Instead, they offered me a €160 store voucher, which is completely unacceptable given they were at fault.

So far, I’ve lost a total of €375.86, and they’ve refused to reimburse me despite my repeated attempts and evidence provided.

I’m now escalating this to consumer protection authorities.
This was a genuinely upsetting experience — poor customer service, no accountability, and they simply stopped cooperating once they made their mistake.

Avoid if you’re ordering from abroad or want support after purchase.

Problems under warranty not solved and rather pour quality

Last week I received a new BMW R 1300 GS with side paniers and a top case from Unit Garage. On the first day that I had the cases a snap fastener fell out of the eyelet of the strap holding the lid of the right panier. I wrote Unit Garage about the matter, sent them pictures aswell as the order number and the name of my BMW dealer. They refused to send me a new strap under warranty asking me to tell the dealer to file the complaint.
Sometimes there might be a reason why you do not wish to contact your dealer. It could be because you have changed the dealership or because you bought the cases second hand within the warranty period. Fact is: I will not get a replacement without the help of the BMW dealer.
Another problem of the paniers and top case is, that the lock is of very cheap quality with a tiny key and can't be closed without beeing locked. So you have to take the key out of your pocket every time that you wish to dring some water from your topcase.
Conclusion: I cannot recommend the products of Unit Garage and would much rather buy the paniers and top case from the Italien Company Koboldbike instead, which are of great quality. I have them on another BMW bike.

Unit Garage- small seat cover for Bmw R9T

Unit Garage (Italy)- Disappointed, leather seat cover much too small and a poor fit for 2022 BMW R9T; impossible to replace the OEM cover and staple back in place (per their enclosed instructions and common sense). UG cover even had an elastic band around the edges!? Customer service asked for photos and made excuses- advised me to take this to an upholsterer for a fix. After a number of incredulous exchanges, I unexpectedly received a refund and only lost $32 for the return shipping back to Italy and my time. Feel grateful (?), thinking could have been more prolonged and costly.

UPDATED: I purchased $350.00 of luggage…

UPDATED REVIEW: Ive come back! to edit this post, because they reached back to me. Pay attention to the day and time zone you're in when purchasing or you'll go through the anxiety I did for no reason.

The issue was I order it on a Saturday night when their office is closed, we were experiencing a time difference that wasn't allowing communication to get through in a timely fashion (I'm in the USA they're in Italy - theres a 6 hour time difference).

I reached out Sunday when the office is closed, which is when i wrote that nasty review below...

Finally, Today, Monday, they reached back and provided a tracking number (UPS).

The package is on its way and should be here tomorrow (Tuesday). Will update everyone with quality of product and delivery when it does.
--------------

FIRST REVIEW: I purchased over $300.00 of luggage equipment for my Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Motorcycle. I've been reaching out for 2 days now with no response from them.

However!
Oddly enough they reached out once to tell me to finish paying for the rest of the items in my basket (sketchy); but have yet to respond to the 6 emails I've sent in the last 2 days asking about a time frame of delivery.

Really trying to give them a chance. Will be back if anything changes.
