Incompetent and unprofessional Physiotherapist…

My experience of a Pure Physiotherapist at a GP surgery in Harpenden is the worst clinical experience of my entire life.

The physiotherapist treated me in a dismissive, patronising and arrogant way; she failed to introduce herself to me or make eye contact; she failed to carry out a proper examination – yet recorded in my notes that she had done so; she failed to take a proper history; she failed to make a competent diagnosis – I had to pay for another private physiotherapist to make a competent and different diagnosis; she failed to offer an appropriate treatment plan – she lied when she wrote in my notes that she demonstrated ten exercises (which were in any event inappropriate and caused me massive pain) – she demonstrated nothing at all. She failed to give advice on pain relief; she falsified my patient notes of the consultation (there are multiple errors and entries of things she said she had advised upon or carried out - but had not done so).

Their complaint procedure is a joke and patronising and failed to address most of my complaints. I am now reporting the physiotherapist, and her line manager, to the hcpc for professional misconduct.

Hi Peter, we believe your feedback does not refer to Pure Physiotherapy and its private clinics but to a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) appointment at your GP Practice. We have spoken with our colleagues at Pure Unity Health however, and understand that your concerns have been addressed by their governance team following delays at the GP Surgery.

We wish you well in your continued recovery and remain available should you require any of the services at our private clinics.
