This company is rated as "Improvement Required" by the Care Quality Commission, esp in the areas of Leadership and the administration of medication.
They refuse to supply a copy of their complaints procedure, try to hide behind "Contractual Obligations"
and their staff look after my son!
In conjunction with a CASE MANAGER they have turned him into a fat unfit unkempt, badly dressed, and somewhat depressed 47 yr old who at first glance one would take for a homeless person. He has ailments which are not receiving proper ongoing treatment. My visits have been "regulated" by both Universal Care and the CASE MANAGER having reasons for me not to visit such as appointments or a suitable carer is not available.
I have to ask why I can now only visit while a carer is present?
Prior to this company being involved my son was a typical man of his age, enjoyed socialising, and beer, was fairly fit, cheerful, exercised, enjoyed swimming and outings with myself and friends and "Loved his Dad" Although he could lose his rag now and again he was normally calm and easy going
In my humble opinion this company should be closed down
