SCAM SCAM SCAM. Potential buyer from autotrader, rang through a scotland landline but said he was based only 1h30 from home. Clever tactic of making him sound like a genuine buyer by asking the right questions until he was persistent on having a HPI check carried out only by this website, and me paying for it beforehand. Offered to pay a deposit and collect the car tomorrow with no questions asked. Too good to be true and suspected it to be scam.

This is a scam. Individual contacted me from a Cars Ireland advert that I put up and wanted me to do a car history check on this website. When I saw the link it looked very suspicious and blocked them.

Unlockhpi.uk is A SCAM!!!!! Called me in Ireland enquiring about the car I had for sale. From an irish landline but gave me a uk whatsapp number as he was having "issues" with his Irish mobile number....... Wanted me to use a specific website that he recommended to do a hpi/history report on...... I didnt do any such thing obviously. Avoid

"Freya Willow" was insistent I used Unlockhpi & refused other companies I suggested as they didn't have "full" details. The payment wouldn't work so eventually I phoned the company and got a call back from a man saying he would pay for me if I gave the details. Funnily enough I was charged £134 & when I raised this they said they would sent another pass code to refund. Only then did I realise. Such perfectly charming people. I fell for it but froze my card straight away and reported it.

Just had JANE JOY trying to get me to purchase an HPI report from unlockhpi.uk luckily I realised it was a SCAM, please do not get caught out. Avoid any emails from JANE JOY, she is a scammer!

SCAM , Brent Stone tried again , within 1 hour of my car being listed on autotrader he called me leaving a message asking me to email , then became persistent on getting a HPI check on this site only , SCAM

I was phoned by "Priya" via Autotrader telling me she wanted an HPI for "security and peace of mind" and to know information about previous owners. Alarm bells rang when she directed me to this specific website to purchase it. I'm glad I didn't agree because I can see that the call and website is a scam. I encourage you to report this website through official channels in order to protect future victims.

Came here from auto trader can send pics aswell "joy" she said her name was asking to use this website for a hpi check said she will reinburse me after i do the check for 25 quid. Crazy...

SCAM : I had a call from a young sounding woman called Joy almost 1 minute after my ad went live. Was asking me to do a HPI check on my vehicle and would re-emburse me. she told me her mechanic advised to do so. I checked here first and "there you go" Total scam on an Autotrader advertisement.
Oh shes put a 5* review on here too. lol

Do not use this site it is set up solely to scam car sellers on Autotrader Had a very pleasant call off a lady called JANE JOY saying she wanted to buy my car off autotrader insisted i get a hpi check first luckily my bank blocked the transaction be aware folks or your bank will get emptied Jane Joy also gets a mention off another review and she has given unlock hpi.uk a five star review 🤬

This is scam. Do not engage with these people. Do not put your bank card details on their website. It’s a false website

The report was incredibly detailed , covering everything from mileage discrepancies to previous plate changes . I particularly liked HPI valuation tool , which helped me negotiate a better price fast reliable and easy to get fast service definitely gonna use again

This is a scam. I got a call from a “Brent Stone” who was insistent on an hpi report through this company. I got harassed with voice messages too.

This is a scam. I almost got caught out. Luckily my bank declined the payment as it is a company in Pakistan. Their address on website is in London. The phone number is invalid. The scammer has a story about needing safety report on car and wanting to know previous owners. GDPR red flag. Scammer red flag.

Absolute SCAM. PAKISTANI man claiming to be interested in my car from autotrader saying I should do a HPI report

Just had a call from Jane Joy about my car that's being sold on Auto trader. Looks like it might be the same Jane Joy that has given this website a 5star review. Based in Pakistan? Be careful.
