Scam website that doesn't provide what you ask and just takes your money and ignore emails

Requested a sick note and paid them, and they haven't sent a confirmation email like they said they would or even sent an email of the sick note I requested. They harassed me nonstop via email to complete the form, but once I had actually submitted it and paid them, they went radio silent. I have sent multiple emails requesting an update, but they have not replied. It has been almost 12 hours since my request, and I have still received nothing, which is highly questionable for a company that claims they give their letter within 60 mins. It also seems they care more about their reviews than actual customer service, since I've noticed they only bother to respond to other customers' issues once they leave a bad review, so maybe me leaving one now will actually get them to actually contact me and not ignore me. Do not trust the good reviews and avoid this website at all costs!

Hi Aisha,

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.

At the time your consultation was submitted, we were experiencing a temporary system outage, which unfortunately prevented the confirmation email from sending successfully. We sincerely apologise for this technical issue and understand how this may have caused concern.

Despite the confirmation email not sending, your consultation was received and reviewed by your Partner Doctor, and an outcome was issued within 24 hours. While we state that most outcomes are completed within 60 minutes (this is our average turnaround time), during busier periods the timeframe can extend up to 24 hours, which is still within our stated service window.

When you contacted our support team, we responded and provided several options, including the opportunity to submit a complimentary amendment request to adjust the content of your letter. In addition, as a gesture of goodwill — and acknowledging that the letter was not received as quickly as you had hoped — we issued a refund, even though the document was completed within the expected maximum timeframe during peak demand.

We certainly do not ignore customers, and we apologise again for the initial communication issue caused by the system outage. If there is anything further you would like us to review, please contact our support team directly at contact@updoc.uk and we will be happy to assist.

Warm regards,
Updoc Support

Avoid!

I’m being bormbarded with emails and text messages now!
I’d describe the letter written as the most low effort, weak but passable letter possible.

Edit: unlike the replies suggest I had contacted about excessive communications (multiple emails asking me to review)

Hi Rachael,

Thank you for your feedback.

We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. We note that we were not contacted prior to this review regarding any concerns with the content of the letter. Had you reached out to our support team, we would have been very happy to arrange for a formal amendment request to be submitted to your Partner Doctor to address any specific revisions required.

With regard to communications, our system issues automated updates relating to documentation and status changes to ensure customers are kept informed throughout the process. We apologise if the volume of notifications felt excessive.

We would welcome the opportunity to review this properly and assist further. Please contact our support team directly at contact@updoc.uk so we can resolve this appropriately.

Warm regards,
Updoc Support

I needed a letter to support a request…

I needed a letter to support a request for reasonable adjustment and did not want to go through my GP.
I provided evidence of my disability from a screenshot of my GP records about the condition on the NHS app. And received the letter from updoc within a couple of hours

Updoc were speedy but it wasn’t accepted

Updoc were speedy and got my letter out very fast but unfortunately it was not accepted by Nimbus/Access as they claimed that Updoc is not an official doctors letters. Wish I had known this before I could have saved myself nearly £50, I have put 1 star just incase others are looking for this information too and to bring awareness and on the website it makes it sound like it will be accepted.

Hi Jessica,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re glad to hear that you received your letter from your Partner Doctor quickly.

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to find that your letter was not accepted by your interested party. However we’d like to clarify a few points regarding your experience:

- The letter you received was issued by a GMC-registered UK doctor and is an official private medical statement. The doctor’s credentials can be verified via the link included in the statement itself and on the GMC Register.

- We noticed there was no attempt to reach out to our support team before leaving public feedback. Our team is always happy to provide guidance or clarify requirements to help ensure letters meet the criteria of the interested party.

- Because this is an official medical statement, any outcome regarding acceptance depends on the specific requirements of the interested party. It is therefore possible that the letter’s content may not have aligned with their criteria, rather than reflecting any issue with the validity of the statement itself.

- We would also like to let you know that you have the option to submit a complimentary Amendment Request for your Partner Doctor to review, should you wish to do so.

We hope this helps clarify the situation. Please feel free to reach out to our support team at contact@updoc.uk if you would like guidance on submitting an Amendment Request, or support regarding your letter.

Kind regards,
The Updoc Team

Excellent service from start to finish

Excellent service from start to finish. I initially used Updoc to obtain a medical certificate, and the process was quick, simple, and very convenient. More recently, when I contacted them with a billing query, their support team responded promptly and resolved everything efficiently. The communication was clear and professional throughout. I’m very happy with the overall service and would definitely recommend Updoc.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re sorry for the concern this situation may have caused.

We’ve carefully reviewed your account and can confirm that only one charge was successfully processed. The second charge you mentioned relates to a duplicate subscription attempt that was not authorised, and no payment was taken or will be taken. These duplicate attempts are automatically cancelled by our system.

Your subscription has now been cancelled, and there will be no further charges. We understand how confusing this can look on a bank statement and appreciate you raising it so we could clarify.

If you have any further questions or need support, please feel free to contact our team directly - we’re always happy to help.

Warm regards,
Updoc Support
