Up Learn is the UK's leading A Level and GCSE platform, helping students achieve top grades through expert teaching, personalised learning, and 24/7 AI and human tutor support.
Our courses cover A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics and Psychology, as well as GCSE Combined Science, with exam-board specific content for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International. Behind every lesson is a team of subject specialists, learning scientists, and educators obsessed with one thing: making top grades a reality for every student.
Our platform adapts in real time to each individual - identifying gaps, guiding revision, and building the exam technique needed to reach A/A* at A Level and grade 8 or above at GCSE. The results back it up: 97% of students who complete an A Level course go on to achieve A* or A.
We believe every student deserves access to outstanding education, which is why for every course purchased, we give a free course to a student who needs it. We've provided over 50,000 Up Learn Scholarships across the UK so far.
Students and families often tell us they value how supported they feel, from the quality of teaching to the responsiveness of our team, from first login to results day.
We genuinely welcome honest feedback. Reviews help us celebrate our students' results, and fuel our mission to give every learner the most effective path to success.

Learnt alot tbf but you guys need to start accepting answers that are worded differently because for example i could say it increases from 1 to 5 and it will say incorrect the answer was it rises from 1 to 5 , its quite frustrating.

Uplearn is super helpful for understanding and recapping content. As the ‘up score’ they give you models real memory decay, it is like a visual representation of how much you know about the entire course. Whenever I have a problem the uplearn helpline is quick and efficient!

For physics it is not worth it, it just simple copy and paste from YouTube channel however for the other courses it is definatly worth it, short concise accurate and engaging notes with recall question really facilitate effective revision. The customer service is also excellent

I've been using it for about a month now, but I can confidently say it's already paying off: It allowed me to alter a lot of my misconceptions and cover missing content in a concise and efficient manner, and the quizzes along the way made for a much less stressfull start. I had been particularly struggling with memory and methods, which it has fantastic videos and quizzes on, for example ! I managed to receive it for free, and the scholarship application process went smoothly and required little time to fill out the forms!

first of all the website advertises that there is an option of learning Chemistry GCSE level for £19.99 a month. However it then disappears and you have an option of either paying upfront or take 3 days free access and then pay £29.99/month; I wanted to sign up and pay monthly but as I said the option is not really available (only being advertised) and actually I am glad as after 1 day free access I can see that the content is created for 5 years old and not actually for GCSE students (I choose the option of higher tier and year 11) The first 50% of the video contain completely not useful info and is a waste of time. Chemistry for year 11 and higher tier is explained so slow and in a way that is simply annoying.
Far better courses are available for free on youtube.

Up Learn has inspired our year 13 students to engage in revision earlier. We set a certain amount weekly but many are finding it so helpful and engaging that they are doing more than the required amount. I am hoping this has a large impact on our grades this year!!

Uplearn has become essential for revision towards my Biology A-level. It has helped me understand concepts that I originally found difficult. The exam questions have allowed me to better understand what exam techniques to use and get better at certain questions, especially application questions in Biology which I have struggled with.

I like how the videos fragment a topic into so easy steps, but the like 30% of the questions are incorrectly marked. I also hate how you can't have conversations with tutors, its just me saying something and they barely giving me something to work with and then when i try to reply they basically never reply at all. Questions definitely need to be improved and their mark schemes and the tutors either should focus more on the chats or maybe the chats should be updated so you can have a real coversation. There's a lot of work to be done here!

I really like how innovative Uplearn is. I’m doing 3 A levels by myself at home, and it’s been really hard to only learn out of books and random youtube videos. I love how specification specific Uplearn is. I went through the all the Maths content within 8 weeks!
The only thing is that biology A level doesn’t have as many breakdown videos as the other A levels, but it still has summary videos for all the topics.

Tutors take forever to reply, and by the time they do, it's often too late. They just leave it at that and ask you to rate the conversation. I’ve spent hours (and I was top in my college for uplearn hours)—and my grade still went down in Year 12. All those sucess stories you here are about students who have been revising outside of uplearn, I mean especially for biology as they've only recently really added some more videos and quizzes, some parts of the spec were missing or not properly explained.
For physics, the videos are easily available on YouTube, and it takes ages for them to get to the point. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who already has good revision techniques and doesn’t want to sit passively watching videos.
I don’t recommend this for biology or physics. Instead with the same money you'd pay for 3 courses get yourself a good textbook and an iPad for practicing exam questions, active recall—you’re guaranteed a good grade

Really good program that condenses something so complex into a shorter simpler format

Im literally using it right now, i love it for biology and psychology it breaks it down so well and i love the endless exam questions it has that i cant usually find elsewhere. I love how i can just message the tutors at any time and they reply within minutes. I love things that just does everything for me in one place for me to ace my exams hopefully! :)

I love uplearn especially for chemistry. I loved how it broke down difficult topics and explained them from the start, which helped me to gain in an insight into how wonderful chemistry is. As well as this, their extra wider reading was so lovely and helped me so much in my preparation for the Olympiad. I am very happy with my experience and would recommend anyone doing A level chemistry to purchase their course

I am doing an A-Level in mathematics at thirteen and uplearn is my only tool. It is highly interactive, giving questions mid-video and quizzes regularly. I can refresh my knowledge of previous topics and the topics are segregated usefully and help me clearly comprehend where I am in the syllabus. Even though, I got the standard version, They have responded to my every question and even accepted my request to change exam board. Great all round.

I used it for my DNA nucleotides test on biology and I got an A u don’t even need to write notes. Watch videos do the quiz that pops up while your watching the video as if you are right infront of a teacher and then do exam questions. Guaranteed A star

Words cannot describe what this wonderous marvel of software has done to me. Perchance. UpLearn brought my wife and kids back to me. All I needed was an A* to win her back. Thank you, UpLearn!

I have loved using UpLearn. I am very visual person, I understand more when I can see how things happen, videos on UpLearn were really useful for me to understand each topic and the quick question between the videos were helpful to recall and show how well I understand each topic.
