Would definitely recommend!

We had quite a few hiccups in the road as it wasn’t a straight forward case, however UPP dealt with us in an understanding and kind manner.

Really please with the installation Jack had made a real neat job outside and inside. He had great knowledge and was really helpful. For the Broadband really happy either the speed we are receiving.

Frustrating

Well, it's been around 10 weeks scince I started the process of joining upp, and after a blockage was found, only yesterday did it get cleared. Keep getting told different things from customer service, rang today, and told we csnt give you a date for installation now the blockage is cleared. Wasted days holiday I won't get back, 3 in total, and not just me! 2 other poeple are waiting for this to be sorted on my street too.

Bit of a farce

Installation was a bit of a farce from start to finish. First visit they couldn't do it and said we had to end our contract with BT before they install.

One month later and our notice period with BT has expired and our BT broadband has been switched off, so Upp come out again. One hour into the installation visit, I look outside and the engineer and his van are nowhere to be seen. Manage to get hold of him and he says he rang the Ring doorbell... yes but Ring doorbells don't work when there is no WiFi! He knew I was inside so why didn't he knock?!

He says the reason he left is because of our problem with the line and further work is required before they can install - customer service later tell me this could take 3-4 weeks. We work from home and simply cannot be without broadband for that long.

Customer service advised they always say not to terminate your existing provider before installation is complete - yet that is exactly what our first lot of engineers told us we had to do.

So in the end we cancelled installation and are going back to BT who may be more expensive but at least seem to have their act together and we never had a problem with the speeds they provided.

Only good thing about Upp is the price and the customer contact centre have at least been decent, hence 2 stars.

Fantastic product, at affordable prices.

From the moment UPP arrived at my property I knew it was going to be a job well done with the highest level of professionalism. Every stage of the installation was carried out with a level of care and expertise higher than expected. Both members of the installation team were extremely polite and knew all the answers to any queries I had. Thank you so much for doing such a fantastic job, I am now enjoying broadband speeds I thought I would never experience. And now enjoy my gaming at speeds I never thought possible. Thank you so much for giving me all this at such an affordable low price.

The stated speed, all over the house, all day, every day

Firsth thing to happen was a pre-install site survey. THis wasn't by apointment but fortunately I was there so was able to hear the options for the install of the socket including limitations. Understanding this made it possible for me to prepare for the actual install 2 days later - moving furniture, finding plugs, getting extension leads etc.
On the day of install I received good communication from the installer, let's call him Mr Dragon to protect his id. He was a very nice chap and confortable to have around the house. Frinedly, chatty, engaging, knowledgable and helpful. Mr D made sure the hardwear was working properly and that I understood what was going in. He had me install 2 apps on my phone, the first to administer the router and the second to monitor wireless speeds. We went around the house testing and found a few 'soft spots' in the wireless signal, which were faster than the maximum speed we'd had previously on Open Reach inftrastructure. He advised to leave the routers in place for a week to let them bed in, but also what to do if the speed remained below par. After a few days we are getting maximum speed throughout the house.
Upp's instalation has provided us with a significant upgrade to our incoming signal, both speed (their minimum offering is triple that of open reach), but the main thing is stability, as what we had via open reach was terrible - the maximum speed would have sufficed, but most of the time we didn't get anything like. 30 years ago as a student in a provincial city, we had cable tv. At some point this morphed into Virgin and not so maby years after that full fibre became availible. In more recent years Upp have also installed their fibre networks. I just can't comprehend how Open Reach, with their almost bottomless pit of resources, not to mention monopoliostic position, can fail at this whilst others manage to install network's right under their noses. So after a long period of limping along on sub-standard (obsolete and unreliable) Open Reach infrastructure, we are now up to date and connected properly, quickly and reliably, thanks to Upp.

Steve from UPP was Superb :-)

Steve was our installer and he was helpful and listened to our preferences for the location of the router. Whilst it wasn't where they would normally install it, once we discussed it and looked at the other options he was very obliging and professional. Install first class, and so far the speeds blow OpenReach out of the water. Can't vouch for the reliability and uptime of the actual service as it was only connected today as I write this review.

All staff super helpful and great service

Chris installed our new equipment and…

Chris installed our new equipment and made a lovely neat job. Took his time to check and explain the login procedure and Wow the connection speed is fast.
400 to 500mbps download and upload.
Much better than BT’s 34mbps that we put up with for 18 years.

It was all better than expected from start to finish. Unfortunately there was a blockage but Seamus Doyle from 360 Networks soon sorted that out. Three days later Brad from UPP installed. He was courteous and hardworking. It was efficiently installed and he didn’t leave until everything was working and we were happy. The speed we now have is excellent. I would whole heartedly recommend this Compay.
