If I could give no stars at all I would.
I tried 4 times to redeem cash for gift cards and each timeout never received anything. I sent out an email each time to no response. Each gift card was well over $25 bucks so as of today to heck with the upside app

This is not a scam for sure. I used this app for the last 4 months or so. I got cash back for almost every transaction because I follow the rules . Below are some points for your help.

-you have to use the credit card which you need to save in your upside app. Apply won’t work.
( otherwise how will they know, you actually made a transaction)

-it’s not a free money, it’s a little cash back that you spend the money on like on gas , restaurants etc.

-they got the cash back from vendors like race trac for gas , Mac Donald’s for food and they keep some and return some.

-it’s very easy to use and very helpful to get some really good cash back. I got so far 75$

-they wants to minimize the overhead so these type of companies will not have good 24/7 costumer service but if you use it right then you don’t need there costumer service .
So they can pass the cash back more .

I have had upside for a little over 3 months and I have already received $56.00 plus, cash back from it! Some people think it's a scam, but I can tell you it is NOT A SCAM!! Just last week, I ordered pizza from Domino's and received over $4.00 cash back for it! I HIGHLY recommend UPSIDE for ANYONE, who buys gas, pizza, or other products from participating convenience stores!

Horrible app. Impossible to get any support from upside in real-time or via a chat. Enter in credit card information and upside does not save the information. The save button does not work at all. When I finally found an email/or a way to create a ticket to contact upside with my problem the response was that my font size on my phone might be the issue as to why I can not save a credit card to my account. That response is beyond hysterical! Why would any app care about the font size users have on their phones?

I found 16 expired transactions. I complained. They said to send pic of credit card charge and dates. I did. They credited me for 4 of the 16! Said they can’t go back and fix their error!!! Said it’s because I used Apple Pay v card!!!

Do not waste your time. You won't get a penny unless you're filling your tank daily.

Just sounds like a scam. Free money? Bulls**t. Reviews confirmed my suspicion. Almost used this app. Glad I didn't.

I went to a merchant that requires an upload of the receipt. In those cases, Upside needs verification from the merchant that the transaction took place. This stalled my cash back but Upside stayed on it and I received my $13+ cash back. Thank you Upside for staying on it!

All my offers expired for some reason. Never got cash back !!! This is a joke !!!

I should have been leary after reading the reviews. I cashed out for an ACE gift card for my grandson. I have not recieved anything from Upside to acknowledge my purchase. I am waiting for a human to speak to. Not sure of the date of transaction as I did not know I was going to be lied to.

If I could give it a zero I would. I downloaded the app and filled up my tank 2 times and never got the refunded discount, so I decided to try one more time and still nothing it sits in pending status until it expires. I am deleting this app and do not recommend for use by anyone

Scam..it was real easy to load my bank card for paying for my purchase.
However it’s impossible to load the same bank account or any bank account to receive
My cash back !!
They generated a fake email to my profile and that email can not be changed . There fire you can not confirm the email they send you so tha you can receive money .
Also all the other reviews I read here are also accurate . Get to where your suppose to get a discount and suddenly it’s not available ,
Don’t waist your time on this .
And I don’t feel my card info is safe here .

Have been using this app on & off for about 9 months. Lately the cents off per gallon of gas have been minimal, but I thought even a little is better than nothing at all. Just claimed a 6 cents off per gallon at a local Hucks station, and after filling my tank, completing the purchase and finalizing the process-- the app changed the offer to 13 cents per gallon!! Of course there's no one to call and ask about this... Very frustrated!

Every time I try and use the app it says something went wrong try again. Still haven't been able to use the app all week. I'm done. Cheaper gas with instant savings down the street that Upside won't use. Do yourself a favor and save yourself mental anguish and delete this app like I did. Drive down the road and pay 10-20 cents cheaper and not be charged for cashing out like Upside charges you.

Total scam. DO NOT USE

It works until it doesn’t, and then NO HELP, no way to contact anyone. Trying to find an Amazon gift card I redeemed. May have to forget it.

Total trash. Can't give negative stars here, bummer. Chime has the same deal, and it WORKS. EVERYTIME.

My note to Upside: I went to the gas station you sent me to (out of my way) I logged onto the app while there and the app said, YOU ARE THERE!

NOT my fault / problem (I verified the store number as correct on Google) Upside chose the station - if you can't process the cash back - WHY are you sending ppl there
Their response: we don't know why you didn't get paid - tough. Here are some FAQ articles. Tried 3x to get them to do what was right. Yes - it was only $6. Totally not the point. Use this app only if you need help getting a headache.

I listened to that commercial and gave it a try. Of course I had to understand that your discount isn't on the same day. You pay first and after you have been verified you will get the amount. But if they can't find your receipt you don't get anything. They used to ask you to upload your receipt if they couldn't find it but now they don't. For a complete month I never received a request for my receipts and all of my purchases expired with me not getting any credit. I live in a rural area and I would travel to the gas station that was on the list just to get the discount but didn't happen. Spent gas to get thier so I am very disappointed and have stopped using this app. 3 purchase in Nov 23. All purchase in January 2024, February 01,2024, and all purchases in March 2024.
