DO NOT GET AN MSI PRODUCT !!!!!!!

If I could i'll rate this product as zero. My laptop screen broke after a year, i kept using it because it didn't really bother me, it was just broken a bit then the keyboard just stopped working out of nowhere! whenever i try to clean or fix the problem it'll just end up with more keys not working.

don't waste your time with this company, obviously their product wasn't meant to last long.

Can you get worse than MSI?

Can you get worse than MSI?
Shopped for new laptop hoping to avoid the great slow down of HP and the not so fast performance of Dell. Landed on the hyped up, great fail MSI Creator M16 A11UD - I've had a lot of work laptops and a few personal. This has been the worst out-of-the-box unit I ever owned/used.

Touchpad - right out of the box, works for about 10 minutes and then it's very hard to work correctly. Each time I turn it on, it operates for 10 minutes and then I better have my mouse ready. Their support said to hard reset with a pin in the bottom - no effect.

Now, not even a year into using it and my "F" key is already malfunctioning. When typing, I have to press the key a few times to get the push on the key recognized. I already HATE this laptop and I hoped buying a mouse would allow me to half like it, but it's a no for me. It's really fast and operates like a charm but if I can't even type without pressing a letter 3 times or use my mousepad, how the heck am I supposed to be happy with it after paying over $1,700 for a paper weight?
I have 3 kids and I need to buy them laptops for school, I guess it's back to HP, because even though they get slow and bogged down, a nice clean-up can fix their issues, unlike MSI - NOTHING FIXES bad manufacturing and terrible execution in the build of a laptop.

Please take the one star as the absolute lowest I can rate because it would be a -5 star if I could.

Laptop NOT WORTH IT

Sent my laptop in twice for repairs. First the screen went out. Then the motherboard went out. Now the battery has gone out. I emailed support and they said they cannot fix it and I should find a third party to repair. Thats $2000 for the laptop, screen covered under warranty, $800 for the motherboard repairs, and now here we are again with a failed battery pack. I don't even use it that often its just a very poor design by a very shady company. I do not recommend. I will never buy from MSI again.

Customer service is very unhelpful

Customer service is very unhelpful. Down right rude. They interrupt and talk over you while you are asking a question. All they do is try to reroute you to a chat service. Not worth the time talking to.
I do not recommend MSI products to anyone. For the price you should also be receiving top tier customer service.

Good Gaming Company, with Huge Potential.

MSI is synonymous with cutting-edge gaming.

They always have been and always will be.

While their products are outstanding, powerful, beautiful, and functional, and I couldn't recommend them more, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I bought my MSI GE75 Raider in 2020. Absolutely fantastic gaming laptop and it changed my life for the better.

In 2023, parts of the motherboard failed and my computer was sporadically crashing and was very unreliable.

I did an out-of-warranty RMA, and the estimated cost for replacing the motherboard was quoted as $1,000, which is roughly half of the cost of the original item.

Anyway, I agreed and sent it in.

When they got it, they just sent it back and told me MSI no longer manufactures that part.

Well, I filed a complaint on BBB and the General Manager reached out to me.

We came to an agreement and my laptop was repaired for $1,000, and some parts replaced for free with free two way shipping.

Much to his credit, the GM honored his word and my computer works perfectly now. It even has a 90 day warranty.

Anyway, the whole process was very stressful, frustrating, and many of the customer service reps were very rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate.

The company has terrible warranty policies and their RMA is not good.

Outside of that, they are terrific and make amazing gaming products.

I will continue to buy from them in the future, but cautiously and carefully.

To be honest, I will prioritize smaller companies such as GigaByte, Aros, and others simply because of better customer service and warranty, even if they make an inferior product.

In any case, this company has so much potential to grow and become a tech giant. If they could sort out their RMA and customer service issues, and offer better warranty, it would cost a lot of resources up front, but over the long term, they would experience huge market growth simply by reputation and retained customers.

I am optimistic that with the right leadership, this company can become great.

Warranty support non-existent.

I have been trying to get warranty support for my $5000 Engineering workstation for over 4 months. An agent contacted me initially to tell me that the repair would be out of warranty. I asked for a cost and it took over a month for a reply. After I got the cost back $250, I asked about how to get started with the repair. Since then I have not heard a peep despite several inquires.

Pathetic

I have a 240R cooler in the Aegis Flagship desktop. The first one failed and I had to take it 75miles away for service. They replaced it with another 240R. Then about a year later - it fails. Pretty much the same failure timeline as the first one. And, in spite of a world wide recall - I am denied a replacement as my Desktop is out of warranty. This makes no sense. The desktop was almost $7,000CDN and MSI won't replace the defective/ recalled part under warranty. Then, they ask for $65 to check it when returned. Seriously... I have the screen capture of the CPU temp red lining and going into thermal shutdown and they want to test it.

This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never purchase another MSI product.

MSI Dumpster Brand

I bought the MSI thin gf75 and struggled for a full year of a 2 year warranty on the unit to get the non functioning HDMI issue resolved. The unit has been in for repairs several times with the same issue or it’ll come back with additional issues. Eventually this unit was swapped out for another which now the new unit Sword 17’s touchpad is not working and from my correspondence with them on this unit. I don’t believe they are entirely interested in fixing the problem. I suggested they send me the replacement part and they refused and expects me to take it yet again to a repair center where their tech guys don’t have a clue. If I’m looking at getting a new laptop or gaming pc it will definitely not be MSI because their after sales care suck bad.

Terrible Customer Service

Received the product. MSI TITAN GT77 $2600 Immediately had problems with MSI True tone resulting in lighter /washed screen colors (looked terrible). The MSI tech support person was completely clueless told me to read nonessential literature with many steps - and download non-essential drivers. Demanded to speak with a supervisor (after several call backs) who could address the problem with a "different" driver download and without referencing the literature sent by the first tech. Had I followed the advice of the first tech, who refused to walk me through the fix (as he was clueless), I would have been down *hours* in time. This hassle is not worth it. MSI should have fixed the software issue before shipping.

Worst laptop company I have dealt with!

I was told MSI is a great company so I went with them. Over a 1000 laptop for work and it's the worst I have had. I got it shipped with a defective battery. Worked for almost 2 months before i had issues. Sent it back and even paid 100 for protection. They apologized for the problem. Cool. They CLAIMED to have replaced the battery. Few months later the SAME thing happened. Won't charge, dies when unplugged, and shuts off randomly which crashes anything I'm doing. I even bought a new charger just in case...and of course it was not the charger. I'm out of warranty and they want me to pay HUNDREDS to ship it back and have them "replace another defective battery" per their words. I shouldn't have to pay for anything as I got the battery defective and it was never properly fixed. So I'm out of a crap ton of money, horrible customer service and now have to spend hundreds more to get a new laptop with a brand i trust. I do NOT reccoment MSI at all.

Stay away from MSI laptops

Absolutely awful customer service. I tried explaining the issue of laptop shutting down to the representative on the phone. He was too busy trying to sound like a lawyer, act smart and callous. I think that’s part of their training. For $1100 I have had better laptops. Stay away from MSI laptops, especially MS-1552. I wish, I had.

Cheers to anyone who is reading this.

Excellent customer support (in AU)

I've had 3 gaming MSI laptops (Raiders), and whilst I have a few issues with each of them, the customer support here in Australia is excellent. They're responsive and willing to help. One broken monitor / lid hinge was fixed for free despite the laptop not being under warranty. I'd happily buy from MSI again based purely on their customer support. Well done!

bought a MSI gl65 sd9 2 and half years…

bought a MSI gl65 sd9 2 and half years ago and been excellent until recently the battery charger has gone down. emailed MSI to ask where i can purchase a new charger, their reply "After checking information with our warehouse, we unfortunately do not have information about availability of the charger anywhere outside of our stock. Sadly, we do not have a stock for it either, therefore we would not be able to supply the part for the order. We deeply apologize for this inconvenience.

We recommend searching for some second-hand options on-line, using the following part number as a reference:

I MEAN COME ON YOU MUST STOCK THESE OR KNOW OF ORGANISATION THAT SHOULD HAVE THEM IN STOCK

Gs66 Stealth

Gs66 Stealth. Has been sitting on my desk since new. The screen kept popping out. Poor job on the build of taping it in from the factory. Put it back in and it would stay for a few weeks then pops out again. Saw online that it was happening to other people as well. Came home from work today and it was popped out. Put it back and now I have no display. DO NOT BUY!
