Serious Concerns About Communication, Accessibility & Process Transparency

The reason for this is this company is a B2C (Busines to Consumer) business that sells summer camp experiences via American visas that are jobs. It is difficult to write a review of such a company without breaking Trustpilot guidelines on employee and employment based reviews, though I will attempt to try. I also note that the company appears highly proactive in flagging critical reviews.**

I am sharing my experience with USA Summer Camp so others can make an informed decision before using their service.

I applied with several years of professional hospitality experience (including at major Canadian resorts) and am currently undertaking a PGCE. I therefore expected a structured, professional process. What I experienced instead was prolonged silence, inconsistent communication, and what I consider to be poor handling of reasonable accessibility needs.

Key issues I encountered:

Clear communication request: Early in the process, I explained that I am autistic and asked for communication to be via email or pre-arranged calls rather than unscheduled phone calls. This was a straightforward request intended to allow me to engage properly with the process.

Questioning of “commitment”: Rather than accommodating this, I was left with the impression that my inability to take unscheduled calls—while on a teaching placement—was being interpreted as a lack of commitment. This felt both dismissive and unreasonable given I had clearly communicated my availability.

Extended lack of response: After providing a detailed availability schedule in December, there was no meaningful response for several weeks, despite follow-ups. This delay occurred during a critical stage of the application window.

Outcome after delays: When I finally received a response in early February, I was told that placements were no longer available and was directed to try another agency. Given the earlier lack of communication, this was particularly frustrating.

Concerning final remarks: In later correspondence, the company raised concerns about whether it was “safe” for me to travel. Given my background working internationally, I found this comment difficult to understand and inappropriate in context.

Overall impression: In my view, the process lacked transparency, timeliness, and adequate consideration for reasonable communication needs. The delays and handling of my application ultimately meant I missed out on opportunities.

I would strongly recommend that anyone with specific communication requirements, a structured schedule, or expectations of timely engagement seeks clear assurances in advance—or carefully considers alternative providers.

I Used USA summer camp last year as a first time applicant who has never travelled alone. There communication was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating . The experience itself was brilliant and the costs were extremely reasonable. I'm going again this year with the same agency who have again been great!

They promise you you’re going to get hired for sure, yeah no. Even if you do all the steps early and follow their guidance. The money? Oh yeah, you’re never getting your money back once you realise how much of a scam it is. If something comes up meaning you can’t go anymore, moneys still gone. Last thing, that deposit and fee aren’t the only things you’ll be paying, there’s so many costs with everything that they don’t warn you about, at that point it’s either paying double of what they initially advertised or losing all of that money. The experience if you actually go to America might be great but don’t do it with this company, it’s too risky. There’s so many more agencies please do your research

USA summer Camp was a very helpful agency. They were able to answer all my questions and made the whole process from the application to getting placed a very smooth transition. Jade was an excellent help!

I would really recommend USA summer camp if ur planning on going to camp. All the fantastic ladies there were nothing but patient and supportive throughout the whole process. They answered any questions and doubts I had. Everything was made very clear and instructions were simple and easy to follow.

USA Summer Camp made the whole process completely stress-free. The staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and always quick to respond to any questions I had. I would highly recommend using USA Summer Camp.

I really recommend USA Summer Camp, they are very helpful around the clock. And are always happy to help and really friendly, even if you have the silliest questions (like I had.. a lot). They even check in with you (via email, phone call and WhatsApp) on regular basis. 10/10 would let them help me make my dreams come true again!

Honestly can’t recommend USA Summer Camps enough! From the very start, Lauren, Jade, and Alba were absolutely amazing. They were super helpful, always on top of everything, and just really lovely to deal with. They made the whole process so smooth and stress-free, always quick to reply and happy to answer any questions (no matter how small). You can tell they genuinely care and want you to have the best experience possible. If you're thinking of doing a summer in America, you’ll be in great hands with USA summer camp. Very helpful throughout the entire process, even when I myself probably asked the same question a few different times and was a bit lax in getting everything done, the girls who I mainly dealt with, Lauren and Jade were very patient with me and replied very fast whenever I had time sensitive questions, etc. Would highly recommend using USA summer camp, they simplified what can be a complex process perfectly for me.

I never felt alone during the whole process. Every doubt I had was treated in the best way, with admirable kindness and patience. I am trying to find some flaws, but very honestly, I can't find a single one! Hands down, it is the best agency. Thank you Lauren, Glenn, Alba and Jade!

I would highly recommend using USA Summer Camp if you are planning on going to camp. They are really helpful and guide you through the process thoroughly and with patience. They are very helpful with answering any questions you have. They are honest about their prices, the only thing I will say is the prices on their website do not include the Visa documentation fee (it probably says this somewhere but I missed it) so prepare to pay this too once hired, along with the Embassy fee (this is made clear that you will cover this cost). Overall I would recommend anyone to go with USA Summer Camp for a smooth and helpful process.

USA summer camps are amazing. The website is so easy to use and I feel fully supported by them. They are constantly calling and checking in to make sure I feel prepared and are always ready to answer any and all of my questions.
The whole process is really simple and they set things out in a really easy way, with step by step instructions for filling out all of the forms.
Truly brilliant! I couldn't imagine going out to states with any other company.

The people at USA summers camps are all really kind and effecient. They never failed to call and check up on my application or provide any help that was needed for my application process. I would really recommend anyone looking to work travel and work in the USA at a summer camp to do so through USA summer camps
