Very confused as to why I was charged $30 by this compnay. I did a vin check for $1 but definetly not $30. What a scam.

The information that they give is excellent for a dollar, BUT then they charge my account $28.95, I called to cancel and They say it will be refunded, we will see

Absolute rip off. They say $1 for a vin check and then charge your credit card $28.50. Tell me I did not read fine print. They replied to my review and refunded my $28.50 in just a few days. They handled the situation perfectly.

After reading all the garbage online about difficulty cancelling, etc., I had absolutely no problem. The chat was quick and efficient. Their agent, named Riley, took care of everything and confirmed that I would never be charged again unless I renewed the service (which I might at a later date). "Scam" is a serious charge that customers should not make without some proof!

was good to get an info about my car

The report was very thorough in all details, except that there is no price/value estimate of the vehicle. I own the vehicle, and it was recently totaled, and I want to be sure the insurance company is offering me a fair settlement. This report is helpful, but not quite enough.

TOTAL SCAM. I signed up for a single report and they billed me $23.95 a month for 9 months without my permission. Do not do business with this company. This company operates with 2 others: publiccarcheck.com and vinsearchusa.com. They are in 3 separates states and all 3 of them charged my credit card even though I only originally paid $1 to usvinchecks.com. I stand by this review and after wasting tons of time I was able to get 2 months refunded through a fraud claim at my bank. the company (companies) would only refund an additional 3 months so I am still out ~$100.
UPDATE: after wasting TONS of time on this and leaving a one-star review at Trustpilot I was FINALLY able to get the full amount refunded, but nevertheless I stand behind my original recommendation to not do business with this company.

I honestly love the website and the accuracy of the reports. The only complaint I have is when I went to pay, it said it would be $1. My card was charged $10 and immediately after $23.95. I didn't have the money, but I needed the report.
I had just come from another dealer and decided to stop and see if I might find a vehicle to purchase. The salesmen were eager for me to test drive. After a short test drive I liked what I had driven. I waited just a few minutes before sitting down with Jessica P who handled the paperwork extremely well. Galaxy Auto Sales in Fuquay Varina N C was a easy and fun way to purchase a used car that was extremely clean and fast. In and out within 2 1/2 hours. I will shop there again.

Very thorough and detailed history report. This will definitely help me in my decision to buy.
This website is very misleading. Earlier this morning I went on this website to research a vehicle. I paid the $1 fee for a single car report (which did not give me the information I was looking for, either) I just received a fraudulent charge warning from my credit card company noting that two payments ($9.95 from USVINCHECKS.COM & $23.95 from publiccarcheck.com) had been taken. I don't know what this is for, but I absolutely didn't sign up for, or approve, it.
Could it be for some type of recurring charge or subscription? Either way, it was never made clear by this company and never approved by me.
Probably not so coincidentally, the customer service for both charges below go back to the same person/CS support email. (Karmen/ CS Manager) Would not use this service or site again.

This report on our Audi A4T looks pretty accurate. I would like to know who the previous owner was, other than that - it looks good to me, thank you.

It took an inordinate amount of time to actually get to my vehicle registration report. The report itself was accurate and complete; however, the ownership record shows two owners, Alan R Hall and Mary Patrick. Mary passed away on Oct. 28, 2018, and should be deleted from the record. The report as viewed did not allow me to make this change.
