Shadowfall
Howdy, this review will discuss the following areas:
1) Advertisement
2) Communication
3)Shipping
4) Quality of Product
5) Follow Up with vendor
Advertisement: I initially saw the video on YouTube for the ShadowFall designed by Jon Santos on his YouTube channel the Collectors Outpost. I was enamored with the concept of a square light saber similar I thought to the Tron's Ares or maybe even the Darksaber. Alas, it was truly a square body with a round core which was even more intriguing. His review was thorough and insightful, and he was honest about its conception design, and it was a limited edition. (I got #34 of 100). Valderssabers had it on sale and I decided to pull the trigger and with the 15% coupon and free shipping I ordered an empty hilt. (5out of 5 on the Advertisement)
Communication: I was informed by email when my order was filled, when the shipping label was created and when it was shipped with an expected estimated time of arrival. (5 out of 5 on Communication)
Shipping: The items arrived in a colorful cardboard box with plenty of foam to ensure it was safe. The accompanying items of the gloves, the stand, the plaque was really nice. Everything on the box was clearly labeled and oh, I forgot the instructions were included also. (5 out of 5 on the shipping).
Quality of the product: I have no issues with my expectations of what I was getting. I received an empty hilt, white gloves, a limited series plaque stand and a larger stand to hold the hilt, stickers, screws, Allen tool and a blade plug that fits perfectly into the hilt. Here is the fly in my shoo fly pie. The stand which is supposed to hold the hilt has one arm that is not cut to fit the stand. I had to force the first resin arm into its base but the second one is not going:(. I will probably have to share some of the resin off to get it to fit but this is a quality control issue that should have been checked. (4 out of 5 on quality)
Follow Up with Vendor: Since my hilt is empty, I wanted to put my own proffie chassis into the hilt. I am going to venture down the road of programming the soundboard myself. I did send an inquiry to their support and they got back to me within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I did not list the correct hilt and had to resend the request about finding a two button proffie hilt. I can say they are quite communicative and offered to even install if I wanted to send it back. (5 out of 5 on Follow Up with the vendor)
Now in closing will I purchase from them again? Yes, they have shown they are a vested partner in growing and sustaining the community. I can attest that on Redditt they do get positive reviews in discussion groups so I would recommend them. Now as a reminder if you order during high season i.e. holidays, new release be aware that the item(s) may be delayed and just pack your patience. So those who want a new Mandalorian item order now and not on May 21, 2026 and get on Redditt or other social media platforms to bash them and say I ordered two days before and I did not have my items. Otherwise enjoy their craftsmanship.
