Great service and care

I booked with Value Added Travel beginning of last year and despite having to call and rebook twice already due to COVID the team have been so helpful moving my dates around and flexible with my requests. I’m surprised the read the below reviews as like I have said the team have gone above and beyond for me and my family.

5* Customer Service

Really great customer service - quick response time, sorted everything and got a deal that was perfect for me. Value Added Travel have been so flexible with rebooking and moving my trip in response to COVID-19 changes, so I would definitely recommend!

The Value Added team have been amazing

The Value Added team have been amazing. My holiday has sadly had to be moved twice now but they've been so helpful and communicated to me throughout and helped me plan my dream holiday! I'll definitely be using them again in the future!

A holiday to Sri Lanka booked in January 2020

A holiday to Sri Lanka booked in January 2020 for a July 2020 trip - for obvious reasons this did not transpire.
In spite of numerous telephone calls and email correspondence Luxury Holidays To who also trade as Value Added Travel consistently evaded and obfuscated about refunding the full monies paid regardless of their legal obligations - this extended to statements that they could not recover flight monies and only offer a voucher despite Qatar Airways confirming that refunds were readily available and claiming the hotel booked would not return monies paid - on contacting the hotel direct there was no record of any booking and no transaction had taken place between Luxury Holidays To and them.
After many months of battling I sought remedy through credit card charge backs on the two cards used to pay the holiday on - a lengthy but successful process which concluded this week - 14 months after the initial booking was made.
Having previously booked through Luxury Holidays To for several holidays including the arrangement of our wedding the treatment received was disgraceful - whilst previously I was happy to recommend this company I would advise anyone considering using them to make their choice very carefully! I will not be using them again.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

Absolutely dreadful company, booked with them on a recommendation pre covid, my flight to Dubai was cancelled by Emirates so being a package holiday I was entitled to a refund within 14 days. Value added travel have informed me that it may take up to a year which is totally unacceptable, threatened to take them to small claims court, they promised to keep in touch after this and that my refund was in progress, guess what, they’ve gone silent again. Have done a credit card chargeback now, if this doesn’t work I’ll be going to court. Whatever you do, don’t book with this company!

Cheats

Scammers. Refusing to refund 7 months on and fighting my credit card chargeback. Don't book with them, they are not trustworthy. If only one could give zero stars.
They also call themselves Luxury Holidays.

They have replied some three years or so later!!! I was refunded but only after legal measures through my credit card company. I had to go around the company through my credit card to get my money back a year after it was due.

Scam of a company AVOID

I hate to leave negative feedback, especially in todays current climate with the travel industry taking such a hit with Coronavirus, but I would strongly recommend avoiding this unprofessional outlet unless you enjoy being messed about.
I booked a holiday in May half term 2021 to Dubai through Luxuryholidays/Valueaddedtravel, received emailed confirmation from them of my booking, only for them to then contact me 22 hours later, trying to scam me for a further £600, saying that the flights that I had originally booked had now jumped up in cost!
I would never use this company again and would hate for anyone else to be taken for a ride by them.
You have been warned. I wish I had read all the negative reviews of this company before I had wasted my time with them.

Booked and traveled to Dubai on 4…

Booked and traveled to Dubai on 4 occasions and recommended VAT to friends also. Booked for 11 of us for May 2020 back in September 2019. Flights cancelled due to Covid VAT refused any refund said only a credit note or change to next year and pay more. Dreadful service, no communication I found out Emerites had cancelled NCL flights myself. Had to claim on credit card and so did the other 2 families. Would never use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR LUXURY HOLIDAYS

We were booked to go to UAE with this company.

First of all they were not up to date with travel advice and told me i was wrong when i called them to ask about it. They then had to call me back to tell me i was actually right - no apology. This travel advice was that you now needed to have a negative covid test before you would be allowed to travel to the UAE. They then sent an email to all customers who were due to fly to Dubai saying to get an NHS test for free and use this to prove that you were clear! These NHS tests aren't there to be abused they are there for people with symptoms!

The FCO were advising against travel there due to COVID and as a member of ATOL Value added travel should have refunded us the full amount. They refused to do so therefore NOT following what ATOL stated.

They are a disgraceful morally corrupt business.

They knew that insurance would be invalid if we travelled as the FCO were advising against and told me it didn't matter because Emirates would cover covid related issues... they wouldn't cover if i broke my leg though!

disgusting company and i have reported to all governing bodies

Not worth the hassle to save a couple…

Not worth the hassle to save a couple of quid. Blatantly lied about how they were offering exclusive packages, I found the exclusive Hilton deal elsewhere including direct from Hilton. When Covid stuck they refused to refund something that was not only their legal obligation but policy if booked directly with Hilton. Now they are asking for extra money to rebooked the cancelled holiday. Regrettably looks like I’ll have to go to court to resolve the issue.

This company is a danger to anyone… and…

This company is a danger to anyone… and is also Luxury Holidays under a different cover!

This company is a danger to anyone trusting them! They totally ignored our troubles when in Jordan and the country went into lockdown, effectively leaving us stranded without even a call to check how we were getting home. This was over 3 months ago and they have totally ignored my correspondence trying to get a refund. Holiday was abandoned 2 HOURS after landing in Jordan but took 48 hours trying to get out of the country. Staff clueless and ignorant.
Now, three months later, they advise us that NO REFUND. Even though the package holiday was a desaster. 8 day holiday, consisted of 10 hours flying time, 16 hours on a bus and 2 nights in 2 different hotels which we never booked and told to stay in. Return on rescue flight which we had to arrange ourselves 48 hours after arrival

Don’t use this company, they used to be great now….

Have used and supported value added travel, and luxury holidays for many years, now with covid having second thoughts, they have cancelled our trip flights and hotel, and refusing our legal cash refund, only offering a credit note, which I look at as an iou they have not even had the curtesy to inform us in writing they have cancelled, will be looking at charge back or country court small claims, shame it has come to this,
Well after many moths of this company refusing and ignoring our claim, we had to take them to court, they dragged their feet, didn’t turn up to mediation then at court said their terms and conditions were legal, the judge disagreed and said that they had a legal responsibility to pay us back and that’s the law, we won! And they had to pay us back all our money

Thanks for your reply after many many months, longer than It
took dragging you through the courts, please check your records we also had another holiday booking with you with £000 of pounds deposit with you that we walked away from as we could not trust you, here’s your chance to refund?

Saw this agent recommended on Trip…

Saw this agent recommended on Trip Advisor, a little hesitant to use as i had never heard of them.
put an email through to them and got a response with the holiday price the following day, had to phone them as i couldn't book until a day or so later, the same price was confirmed and i booked.
all the paperwork came through in the next couple of days and the holiday was great, i did book using a Credit card for peace of mind!

for my next hol i will defo give these guys a chance to price.

Valueadded Travel was recommended to me …

Valueadded Travel was recommended to me by a friend so I was expecting a good level of customer service but was sadly very disappointed. I phoned and spoke to an agent who decided that a more senior representative would give me a call back to discuss my holiday requirements. After two days and no call, I phoned back and was told by a different advisor that he would look into why I hadn't been called back but assured me that someone was working into my file. After another two days and no response from the company, I phoned again and requested to speak to someone in higher authority and finally had my holiday requirements discussed in detail. I gave a wide brief and explained that we were flexible on location to an extent but were confined to certain dates. I gave an example of a possible Thailand/Bangkok multi centre holiday but were looking for good recommendations. After another two days, I received an email from the agent with an apology for not getting back and excused it by saying that he was so busy. The holiday itinerary was very bland and poorly thought out and there was no explanation as to why this package was being recommended. I didn't even bother to respond as I didn't think it was worth the effort. Instead I phone another travel agent (Hayes and Jarvis) who were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable and gave all sorts of excellent advice and travel recommendations. I booked with them during that same phone call.
