Been trying to change my direct debit date for 3 months. Constantly redirected to call our friendly team... problem? I dont have a phone!! Like not at all. Never had any need for one and dont plan on getting one any time soon. Even the schools and hospitals contact via email these days.
Well my Direct debit failed again because apparently my insurance will be cancelled on 27th and I dont get paid until 30th.
Worst part is the asvise of it being cancelled was emailed!!!! But they cant accept email or anything to change a damn date
Further to yesterday's review, no email from this company including spam boxes except an automated 'CANCELLATION NOTICE Direct Debit Failed'

We rang up to sort insurance for our van and got through to Gus, and honestly he was brilliant.
Really friendly, easy to talk to, and just made the whole thing feel simple instead of stressful. He went through everything with us properly, explained it all in a way that actually made sense, and didn’t rush us at all.
You can tell he genuinely cares about helping, not just getting you off the phone. He went out of his way to get us the best deal he could and made sure we were happy with everything.
Proper down to earth guy and a really good experience overall.
Would definitely recommend 👍

I purchased car insurance through Compare the Market and paid a £348.09 deposit, followed by 10 monthly instalments of £92. I thought everything was sorted.
However, just five minutes later I received an email telling me I needed to call them to “validate” my details, which I’d never heard of before. Later that evening (around 8:45pm) I received a phone call, which immediately felt a bit suspicious. After going through all my details again, the agent told me that Compare the Market had apparently rounded up my “years holding a driving licence” to 10 years, when in reality it was 9 years and 11 months.
Because of this, they said my premium would increase to £184 per month and that I would also need to pay an additional £20 on top of the deposit I had already paid.
I was shocked that such a small difference could double the monthly premium. I told the agent I wanted some time to think about the information and would call back the next day. He responded by saying he had “never heard anyone ask for time to think before” and questioned why I needed it.
He did tell me I had up to two weeks to cancel and get my money back, which ended up being my only option since I had already paid nearly £400 upfront.
When I called the next day to cancel, the process was far more difficult than it should have been. It then took 12 days for the deposit to be returned to my account.
Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating experience and a complete waste of time. Avoid at all costs.

If your idea of good service is having to call three or four times just to get a simple issue resolved, then this company is absolutely outstanding.
I paid to modify my policy to Hire and Reward, yet they repeatedly sent me the wrong certificate stating something completely different. Even after explaining the problem clearly, and calling several times, they kept sending the same incorrect document.
It honestly feels like nobody is actually paying attention. Every call starts from zero, nothing gets properly checked, and the same mistake keeps happening.
Insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind, but with this level of inefficiency you end up doing all the work yourself just to get a basic correction.
Extremely poor service and very disappointing support. It shouldn’t take multiple calls just to fix something that should have been done correctly the first time.
Dealing with David was straight forward, honest and straight to the point. This is why I went with David.
