The change in attitude before and after the sale, despite it being documented in writing

I have been trying to get a response from Van Mossel regarding maintenance for almost one month. Due to system issues, I was repeatedly told that no one could get back to me, which has caused significant inconvenience.

During the sales process, I explicitly confirmed with the sales representative that, in exchange for an additional payment, I would be able to have the first maintenance service carried out free of charge within the first year. Based on this agreement, I paid approximately €800 extra. This was clearly communicated and agreed upon at the time of sale.

I am now being told that the maintenance service included in the package was only meant to be carried out at the moment of vehicle delivery. This explanation is very surprising. A company selling a vehicle would normally already deliver it with proper maintenance completed. Presenting this as an additional “service package” raises serious concerns.

What is even more troubling is the impression that wordplay is being used to mislead customers. Additional items are included in the contract to justify extra charges, while the interpretation is left vague. When the time comes, the customer is then told that they misunderstood the agreement and is asked to pay again.

It is extremely disappointing to see this kind of behavior from a corporate and well established company like Van Mossel. Even written agreements appear to be open to reinterpretation after the sale. The message being conveyed is essentially: if you want peace of mind and to avoid issues after purchase, you need to pay an extra €800.

If Van Mossel cannot confidently guarantee that the vehicle it sells is properly maintained and reliable, it raises serious questions about how these vehicles are trusted when acquired from leasing companies or other sources. The situation feels like this: the car is sold, but whether it is truly in good condition remains uncertain unless the customer pays extra to find out.

I expect clear confirmation of what was agreed upon during the sales process and a proper resolution in line with the commitments that were made.

Do yourself a favour, don't buy a second hand car here

The reselling department is a scam. They don't disclose the full information of the car and are misleading with the information they provide so they can trick you into buying the car. Always spoke to a woman called Loïs, very friendly until of course she completed the sell. Also, the post-sell service does a quick check and doesn't spend time in really checking the state of the car and they camouflage scratches to make them less visible. Bought a car in October, had to go twice in the first 15 days because some flap was left loose and was making weird noices and only after washing the car, the scratches appeared. Once you buy the car, they go MIA and dont reply back. They even lied with the APK saying it was perfect 10/10 only to find out that there is Indeed a problem with the wind wipes.... I can't regret enough having bought a car here and would highly recommend against making the same mistake I did.

Good service particularly the young man James Snel who located by Van Mossel Peugeot -Leiderdorp, he is very honest and friendly, he takes time to explain everything about the car you want to buy.

The main service was properly and…

The main service was properly and quickly done.
I asked though to them to check a problem with the oil and they did not solve it
Update after contact from the dealer and receiving their report, they worked on the issue and there was only a lack of communication when I picked up the car.

Hierbij graag nogmaals de uitleg dat wij het probleem hebben opgemerkt en uw oliedop er scheef op zat. Om de kosten laag te houden hebben wij dit uit service schoongemaakt en juist bevestigd. Zoals telefonisch besproken houdt u het nu even in de gaten en mocht onverhoopt het olielampje opnieuw gaan branden laat u ons dit weten, zodat we een verdere diagnose kunnen stellen.

Personal Service

I have always enjoyed a personal service when visiting Van Mossel Amsterdam Zuidoost. Last time I went there to change my winter tires but also got assistance regarding the delivery of a the Peugeot 3008 introductory leaflet in English as well as a review of some features of the navigation system of my car. Van Mossel's staff and more specifically Mr Ramsan Karahan made me feel that I always receive personal service there. Thank you!

Came of a winter check..

Came of a winter check..

3 days before planning to leave.
1 day before leaving, my oil light came on and my oil levels were 2 low and hence had to check and refill..

is that not the purpose of the winter check?

Need to re-check expectations due to low attention to details

I have a mixed experience with my car maintenance.
On a sunny side, the web site and online communications are pretty convenient. I was asked about additional services I'd like to have during maintenance a day before or so and I picked few of them, some paid and one free (estimate trade-in cost). The execution time was also as expected.
When I arrived, the process of handing over a car was very easy, basically verifying phone number and giving the keys. The location is not great to get out of there without a car though. That's one downside.
The main problem is that all of my responses to their requests were disregarded, no additional services were performed. Nobody cared to apologize either. When I tried to get a trade-in estimate from one sales guy in the glass box there, he was too active to try sell another car to me rather then help me get an estimate of mine.

Van Mossel Heemstede, very bad service

Begining July, USB plug in my peugeot 108 stopped working. On 10 July, I booked a maintainace slot, the closest possible date was on 29 July, three weeks to wait.
On 29 July, I came to the workshop, only to be told, 4 hours later, that they have to first order the plug, and that I would be called when it is there.
Three weeks later, not getting a call, I called Van Mossel central number, and was told, that USB plug is there, and workshop is waiting for me to call for an appointment. Why I wasn't called by them?!
The new appointment was settled to 28 August, next available slot.Later, the same day, I received an email from the workshop, that 28 is not possible, and they rebooked me to 4 September.
I always take appointments with option of waiting in the showroom. On 4 September, I am being told that I can't stay in the showroom, because my appointment is not a waiting appointment. Apparently, when it was rebooked by the workshop, it was done with an incorrect option.
I started becoming angry, because I had to stay somewhere, and I had to work on my laptop. The person at the desk said: "Don't shout, I am trying to help you", sounded like a joke in such situation.
At the end, they agreed for me to stay.
1.5 hours later, I was told, that it is not possible to change only the plug, whole radio unit has to be replaced, and that they have to order it. They will call me back, once they have the unit. Why they didn't know it, when they checked the car during my first appointment?
It was one week ago, nobody called me yet. It is more then two months, I am driving without being able to use google maps, and without being able to listen to digital radio.

Disgusting customer service

So, this is my second review , but could be more to be honest. I'm terribly dissatisfied with their work. In January 2022 I come to them (address - Klokkenbergweg 29, Amsterdam. So that you know where you better do not go) and by the warranty I asked them to order a new cockpit and E letters, cause the blue collor of E letter is going off. So , they told be that they will contact me as they got my details. In the end of May I come to them with questions about my cockpit and E letters. The answer was - "oh yes, we have received your cockpit already, but E letters not yet". NOBODY even didn't call me about it. Okay next day they changed the cockpit, but only because I come to them. I guess if I wouldn't come, they will ignore me for a more longer time.

In 5th of September this year, I come to them again to ask about E letters. And again, they have received E letters for the back of the car, but for sides it wasn't arrived. I'm confused. Seriously? some small letters, hard to get? what kind of complicated detail is it ? like a cockpit?! Just now words... Before I left Peugeot dealer the man told me that can order now E letter for sides of the car (At that moment, I was in complete shock). Because its should be ordered from January 2022!!!! Are the people is working in Peugeot or just sitting and drinking coffee?!!! This man, unfortunately I don't know his name, he told me that he calls me back in 10 minutes about E letters, and if everything is good, then on Wednesday 7th September they will get it. Of course nobody didn't call me in 10 minutes, in 1 hours, next day and even this week.
Why do customers have to run to the dealer and find out about everything? In all normal services, everything is done for the client. They call him, they take care of him, but not in Peugeot in Amsterdam Zuidoost.

I will say even more, after my first review in begin of June as I remember, the man Bram, who is webcare Van Mossel contact me via e-mail and asked my contacts, so that his colleagues can contact me and fix an unpleasant situation. I gave them my data so that they would contact me, and even people, who solve such problems with clients did not contact me. They just don’t care about their customers and service, they apparently don’t want to work for free and change something by the warranty cases. This is terrible service and I won't fix my car from them anymore. NEVER.

Really Bad experience.

Really Bad experience. In the beginning of January I went to services , I had 15500km at that moment. They told me that the car should get a services . Also I asked them to update the maps, and that my cockpit doesn’t work properly, so I would like to change it by warranty. They ordered a cockpit and updated the maps. As I see, they didn’t nothing, the maps wasn’t updated and after the service of the car, they usually reset the mileage, but this did not happen.
Second. I received a call from Prugeot office in the end of April, the women made an appointment for me for check up, before 25000km (again, although I did the service 9 thousand km ago). Okay, fine.
After few days I called to confirm if the appointment is scheduled and have they received my new cockpit (Because I waiting for it since begin of January).

The appointment they didn’t saw in the system and about cockpit they told me that they gonna check if it arrived and calls me back same day later. I haven’t received any call from Peugeot more then a week.
I called them again, about cockpit, the women told me that she sent email to Peugeot on Klokkenbergweg in Amsterdam(the location where I do all services) and they calls me today later. And of course nobody calls me !
Then I called next day , once again, the man told me they will check if the cockpit is in and call me again TODAY later. And same situation.
So in total I waiting for their call more then two weeks.

Peugeot don't care about customers, poor staff service, irresponsible approach.
