⚠️🛑 ALERT: BEWARE - V CLUB SCAM AT MERCURE GOLD 🛑⚠️
I recently fell victim to a scam at V Club at Mercure Gold Hotel, losing around AED 8,200.
On September 16, I was invited by a woman claiming to be a tourist staying at Mercure Gold Hotel. She suggested we visit V Club at Mercure Gold Hotel.
The woman kept ordering drinks while I assumed she would cover her own bill. Suddenly, I was informed that the bill had crossed AED 4,600. They charged my card twice without showing me the bill, and I was in a state of shock.
After several more drinks, the bill jumped another AED 3,200+, with four transactions totaling around AED 8,200. I later found out that this is a well-organized scam targeting unsuspecting patrons, and the ladies works on commission basis.
I urge everyone to be cautious and avoid this place to protect yourself from such deceitful practices.
I have filed a complaint with the legal authorities and have shared my story with popular news sites of the UAE for maximum reach. I will keep spreading this as much as possible via blogs and social media so no one else falls for it again.
