Great but more structures needed
I really wish there was more options for garden structures. simple things like deck, stairs/steps, garden archway (where the size dimensions can be added, like when using cattle fencing to form an arch).
I will add something I really like about it as well— I love the customizable plants so I can add specific varieties. It’s SO helpful!
Overall, I love this app, but it just isn’t quite there for what I really need for a full garden layout plan. That said, so far it’s the best one out there that I found.

Great Great App for easier allotment planning
I tried a different app and found it too complicated. This app is easy to navigate and intuitive and provides all the support I need to manage my allotment I started a year ago. It will save me so much time as I have been drawing scale diagrams and repeating the process and trying to get to grips with crop rotation etc as a newby. I particularly like the fact that it tells me how many plants I need and the spacing in each bed and know I will find the guidance regarding when to seed indoors or out, planting out and harvesting etc based on my location a big help. I have also had really quick responce to my initial email questions as a new user of the App which fully answered my questions. Even on a Sunday! Love that it has been designed by someone with allotments themselves and that requests for additional features are considered if deemed useful. Very happy and have signed up to a subscription following my free trial. Thank you.

VegPlotter does what the name suggests, I was maybe a little sceptical at first that it would be able to recreate the garden but it was very easy and quick to do. I liked the free version so much that we decided to upgrade after a day or two and have been very happy to use it for the last 2 months.

Great beginners tool!
The overall layout is great and really easy to use, but small details like group deleting would be nice, perhaps I haven't found that feature?

Thanks for the review. You can group delete. You can select multiple items at once using the controls at the bottom left of the plan. This guide (in MultiSelect Controls section) show you how. https://vegplotter.com/help/getting-started/garden-plan-user-interface-and-controls
Then you can bulk delete, duplicate, move or rotate the items all together.
So far it is a great app

Very pleased with all options. This is a keeper!
I chose this program after a lot of research.
Very pleased with the visuals of my garden layout. Spacing recommendations are included and changeable according to your preference.
I live in America and am able to create a plant if it’s not listed (which they are expanding).
I can chose direct sow or sow indoors (when to transplant as well). Succession plantings is available.
A list of chores for the month at view which includes which plants to sow indoors, which to plant out or direct seed, when to harvest and remove plants. I can see which spaces will be available after clearing out a plant so I can plan ahead to fill the space.
Square Foot Garden is included, which is what I’m using this year.

I am satisfied with the application. We welcomed the possibility of adding our own plants. I am still struggling a bit with setting their properties. But that is not a problem with the application :-)

Easy to use but far too simple and little information
Great looking app and easy to use but there are so many tech glitches (like plants refusing to be slotted in an area of the garden for no known/ reason given) and also so little information provided for each plant (how much fertiliser does each prefer? Water per week? Length of growth to harvest?) so as to render the app useless. It could do with succession planting information too.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad you like the look of the app, but sorry to hear you’ve encountered some frustrations. Regarding plants "refusing" to be placed. All plants must be added to a garden bed. If you were adding them to a bed then it may be that the timings for the bed (the add or remove date) were set. This would mean that they plant can't be added because there isn't enough time where the bed will exist for the plant to grow. Check add or remove date for the the bed you were trying to add the plants to.
We also appreciate the feedback on plant data. We try to keep the interface clean, but we are looking into ways to add more "deep-dive" info like fertilizer and water needs. Succession planting is actually possible by adjusting the "planting months" for each item, but we'll work on making that more intuitive. Thank you for helping us improve!

Best app so far for the veggarden
It's easy to use and very intuitive. The information it gives is great as well.
Only two things I found is that paths aren't automatically the bottom layer and I would like to have more plant option. They do give you the options add more yourself, so it sort off is a mute point.

We hear you on the paths not automatically going to the bottom layer. That's a great suggestion, and we'll pass it along to our development team for consideration in a future update.
We're also glad you noticed that you have the option to add your own plants. While we're always working to expand our plant database, that feature is there specifically to give you the flexibility to add any variety you want.

AMAZING
AMAZING! I only wish there was a way to recover an accidentally deleted item. I deleted black eyed peas and have no idea how to recover that option.

We completely understand the frustration of accidentally deleting an item. The good news is that we have an Undo feature for this exact reason!
You can quickly recover a deleted item by clicking the Undo button at the top right of the plan view. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z (or Cmd + Z on a Mac).
This should help you easily recover items like the black-eyed peas in the future. Thanks again for the valuable feedback!
