Sorely disappointed South African living in Scotland (updated to satisfied)
As a South African living in Scotland, I very eagerly awaited my pair of vellies! I chose them based on sizing guidance given on the website, however, when they arrived they were sadly too small.
This is where my troubles started! Needless to say, when I purchased this item in the recent Black Friday SALE, right through the checkout process, NO WHERE did it state that sale items were only available for exchange. I found this out when I emailed the Customer Service team - please note that their auto response said the team would reply within 24 hrs, yet it took 3 days and only happened after my wife reached out to the team via Instagram!
A collection and exchange was arranged for the same day, however, only collection took place. I did not receive any notification from the collection courier, so had NO IDEA of when they’d be arriving!
Since the boots were collected, it’s been more than a week since I’ve had any further replies from the Customer Service team despite quite a few emails from myself, asking where my exchange is. The exchange process appeared clear when I spoke to CS, as I was told when they were arranging the courier, that they were arranging ‘the collection and exchange’. So if so, why am I still in the dark as to where my exchange is? I’ve not received any email confirmation thereof.
I’ve checked with DX couriers on the website and my return has been delivered back to Veldskoen UK.
I’m left feeling rather disappointed by this whole process and would like to say to Veldskoen UK, that if this is how you wish to move forward in conducting business, I will never buy from you again.
Maybe, just maybe my bad review and if others are brave enough to take the time after all the exacerbation they’ve felt with the process to leave a review too, Veldskoen UK will pull their finger out and be more transparent with their processes and jack up their Customer Service!
UPDATE: only fair to say that the CEO eventually got involved and facilitated a very satisfactory solution to my customer service problem. Thank you Nick!
I hope that this will help to prevent this kind of thing happening to anyone else in the future.
