Misleading Bonus Terms — Won £552, Paid Only £100!

I won £10.48 from Rise of Olympus free spins and added 14p from my real balance to place a £10.62 five-team football accumulator, which won, giving a total payout of £552.29.

The casino only paid £100 and voided the remaining £452.29. Their email claimed this amount “was returned to my account balance,” which is completely false the money does not exist in my balance and cannot be used to place bets or withdrawn.

According to their terms and conditions:
• Free spins are “Company’s Gifts” with a maximum withdrawal of €100/USD.
• If winnings from Company’s Gifts are greater than the real balance added, the payout is capped at £100 + real balance.
• If a bonus-derived balance is mixed with real funds, the system can confiscate winnings if it violates maximum payout rules.

The problem is that these terms do not clearly explain that placing a legitimate sports bet with free-spin winnings could result in the majority of the winnings being voided.

Curaçao-licensed casinos may enforce bonus caps even on legitimate bets placed with free-spin winnings. Communications from them can also be misleading, giving the impression that lost funds are somehow available when they are not.

This is not fair gambling. I will never use this site again and strongly advise caution avoid using bonus funds if you want to keep any winnings.

I want to share the outcome after further emails with Velobet, using their own wording so everything here is 100% accurate.

Here is what Velobet told me directly in writing:

“You placed a sports bet using the funds won from the free spins.
This means the sports winnings were generated from the free-spin balance…
If the initial amount comes from free spins, then any winnings that come after using that amount (including sportsbook bets) are still considered winnings derived from the free spins.”

They also quoted this rule:

“The maximum withdrawal from free spins winnings or their subsequent turnover is 100 EUR/USD or equivalent.”

And this one:

“5. If the winnings from Company’s gifts are equal to or greater than the real balance… then the amount to be paid is $100 plus real balance.”

Based on this, Velobet confirmed to me that:

Because I won £10.48 from free spins, ANYTHING I won afterwards using that balance including my £552.29 football accumulator is capped at £100 and the rest must be confiscated.

In their own words:

“This entire chain falls under the ‘winnings from free spins and their subsequent turnover’ rule, meaning the cap applies regardless of where the win occurred.”

Here’s what players need to know:
• Velobet allows you to place sportsbook bets using funds generated from free spins.
• But afterwards they classify the sportsbook win as “bonus turnover”.
• They then confiscate everything above £100.

A legitimate platform would simply block the sports bet if bonus money can’t be used.
Velobet accepts the bet, accepts the risk, then tells you the win doesn’t count.

They also told me:

“Based on the system logs and the rules, everything was done correctly.”

So to summarise with Velobet’s own rules and statements:
• The £10.48 from free spins becomes “bonus money”.
• Any bet using that money becomes “subsequent turnover”.
• Any winnings from that turnover even sports are treated as free-spin winnings.
• Anything above £100 is confiscated.

To put it simply:
It’s like winning a free Lucky Dip on the Lotto, then winning millions the next week, but being told:

“Because the original ticket was free, your jackpot is capped at £100.”

Final point:
Velobet told me the £452 was “returned to my account”, It wasn’t.
And even if it had been, any further win would be capped again due to their “subsequent turnover” rule.

This isn’t a bonus system it’s a mechanism that guarantees you will never cash out anything meaningful if you accept their free spins.
