Superlatives all around,! They select excellent wines and process my orders quickly and efficiently. first class operation.

Some of the wine I have ordered from VALAP has been incredible value for money. The short term storage while you top your full order up over 300 Euro for delivery is also a nice touch. Most of the wines I have received (of those I have opened) have been excellent. But I received one case which was entirely spoiled/off. These were not expensive bottles of wine, so I opened a few of them to see if it was just me, yet they were all just as bad. I contacted customer services regarding the “SATISFIED OR REFUNDED” claim (as per the t&cs) this requires me to pay for the return of the wine prior to a refund or replacement, which for the remaining 2 bottles did not seem worth the hassle or cost (even if they found them to be off there would only be a refund of the price of the bottles). I regularly use this site, so it hasn’t put me off entirely and I can appreciate why they might need to be strict about returns; but given the several hundred euros I have spent with them (and only ever asked to return 2 bottles of wine) I was not exactly impressed with the customer service lack of flexibility. The experience has meant I now do far more of my wine purchases elsewhere.

I have been a loyal customer for several years now and have not once received a coupon, even though every time I checkout and pay for my order, I see the reminder of where to place your coupon code...its a disheartening and annoying experience...it would be business smart as well as a memorable and positive customer service gesture to "show some love", every once and a while...

The guidance, usability and navigation are fine. So are the contents. But... Having chosen items for a value above 300€, I qualified for free delivery, so I should have saved 12€ of shipping charges. When I incorporated my address in Spain, the "Sub-total" value of my order misteriously increased by 10€. And it still read "Delivery cost: Free". I understand that shipping to Spain may be more expensive that shipping within France, but this way of increasing the cost in an almost hidden way is both misleading and inappropriate. It looks like, if you are ordering from outside of France, the statement of "Free delivery for orders above 300€" is a false claim.
This is a follow up to VALAP´s answer below. I appreciate your quick response, but I would say that it is even more misleading (Consequently, I have downgraded your rating). As far as I know, France and Spain are both EU member states so it is simply not true that different VAT rates or duties apply to intra-community transactions. It is quite surprising, also, that the result of such supposed tax adjustments should amount to exactly 10€. Could you kindly let me know exactly what piece of the European legislation supports your claim of that price adjustment in transactions between France and Spain? Many thanks in advance.
