Agreed on a price, paid the down payment. Items picked up, then charged extra $1000 and threatened to auction stuff. Horrible company. Scam artist.

This company is an absolute SCAM.

It's a broker company, not a moving company. They promised me they would beat uHaul prices, and it would just be a 3-part deposit (one part when you book, one part when the items are picked up, and the last part when the items are delivered). Except the first deposit just goes to them to talk to you on the phone. The actual moving company does not get a penny. Once the moving company shows up, the estimate is thousands of dollars more than what was originally quoted. If you decide to back out, you will still lose the money you have already paid. The last two installments are only payable in cash.

Once our items were picked up, we were told they legally only had 21 days to deliver our things, but we were guaranteed to get them within 3 days to 2 weeks.

They took all of our things and disappeared. Nobody can give me a straight answer (if they even pick up the phone). At this point, I am certain our things have been stolen.

No not use these people. It is the classic bait and switch scam! They will tell you everything you want to hear via phone, then send a “binding estimate” with a low ball cubic square feet. Once you sign and pay your deposit, you are out the money! Buyer beware! They are a freight broker…. Not a moving company!

These folks sold me a lie. I was told unpacking and packing was covered, asked all sorts of questions about the packing, and then the day before I was told I had not paid for that service, would be charged hundreds of dollars more. I ended up cancelling and losing my $600 some dollar deposit. With moving, you need someone who stands by their word.

Please don't make my mistake! I should have just read the reviews before hiring this broker. Total scam and they have the process down cold. I contracted them to move my personal items from Minnesota to Idaho and after 3.5 months, and 3K for a small 5X7 storage unit, they delivered the remaining items that weren't stolen as damaged by some 3rd rate outfit. We video'd the final move and they only accepted cash and the delivery guy was dropping stuff the whole time. I got the police involved in KC and they said they get calls about these companies all the time.

I obtained and paid nearly 2k for the services of this company; Venture Van Lines.
To this day (July 3, 2024), I have not seen my belongings, nor do I know where they are stored. I've tried to call the people I initially talked to, so I can possibly arrange for them to bring my things to a storage unit. But no one will answer my calls. And when I finally did get to talk to someone, I got the runaround. Saying the movers would be at my location on Tuesday. Which, by the way, never came! I am angry, frustrated and sad all at the same time! How can they just continue to do this to people? I've read the reviews and most of them were not good. But said basically the same thing I'm saying.
There should be some way all of us who have been scammed, and taken advantage of, can get together and do something about this. We shouldn't just sit around and allow them to continue doing this. SMH.

This place is absolute scam artist. Please don't trust them at all with your moving and storage. They don't even have a moving truck, they use third party movers that charge you even more than your original contract. I have filed a claim with my bank to receive my deposit back, and I also cancelled my move completely because I'm not paying anything more than I agreed to in my contract. Don't waste your money on them, and look for a more reputable company.

Scammers! Scammers! Scammers! I don’t think this “company” even has a moving truck. Lies, lies and more lies. I was told for two days a truck was on the way. Multiple stories each time I called. Do not trust this company! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

Total scam artists. Charged me equivalent of 750 Cubic feet, even though the contract said i had 582 cu feet. then, a bunch of a-rbs arrived from NJ representing Crystal MOvers (hq in AZ) to move me and charged me another $1000, claiming i had 900 cu feet although the truck carried only 1700 cu feet, according to Penske. Promised goods to be delivered May 31 "first available date." I flew to Florida to meet truck and they never showed, so wasted $600 on rental car and air fare. Goods still being held in NJ with no delivery date in site. Filed BBB complaint and no response. Mike and kate were my contacts and after the initial sale, never responded to the over charge request. They dont return calls even when I came to their households in person and left notes I dont know where my belongings are as of now or if they are damaged. Supposedly in Linden NJ and the guy who came down from NJ refuses to answer the phone. Someone with thick accent named Nick at Venture Van Lines takes all the calls and never returns calls. Office door now says Roadway Moving Services LLC. I presume they're going to shut down Venture Van Lines and go to this new name to scam more people.

I'd give them zero if that was possible. I feel that inflated pricing changes between estimate and total due, are almost to be expected. Final total almost 1k more than estimate, for an additional 7 medium boxes.
More than half my things arrived frozen or soaking and damaged. Wood tables were bloated from being completely water logged. My linens and end tables were covered in black mold.
Company has yet to return a single phone call, text or email. Do not hire.

On 11/23, I came across Venture Van Lines, David Hoffman, called me every week from October 23 to feb 2024 to convince me, to use their company.
The original contract, was quoted at $2500 to $3000, moving from Los Angeles to Ocala, Florida.

The day before my move, I received the 2nd contract..4/22/24 for $4700
I called Venture Van lines LLC and of course, no one was available. I even, called Dave Hoffman and his line is now suddenly disconnected, ghosted.

On the day of the move, I received forms for a company...AKA Ernest Movers, i was forced to sign, pending discount after everything was moved, grand total of $7900, and for a 1 bedroom, what a joke. Crystal movers hired 2 men from Craigslist, worst thing, they have never packed an apartment before. Absolute disaster. Nothing was stacked, or packed professionally etc.

Fast forward, 2 weeks later: I called Ernest Movers, and I was told Flex Moving INC did my move. This # is also disconnected and the company doesn't exist, however it clearly states, that they, did my inventory.
Suprise, it's a fake company called Flex Moving inc.
I tried calling Flex inc moving, and it is a disconnected line. I have proof.

I was bullied, haggled, threatened and manipulated into paying by Crystal movers, who claimed they are moving my things and will keep it until I pay them and, I am now going to have to pay $150 per day for storage fees or else!
I was never told that my things, will be in storage much less sign anything for storage.
When I asked Mark from (Crystal Movers/+12068588589 ) for his last name or company's address, I get an abrupt answer or he would hang up, he is unprofessional, manipulative, and verbally aggressive.

Crystal movers are the actual transporting company that are holding my things hostage in Los Angeles.

I was bullied, haggled, threatened and manipulated into paying by Crystal movers, who claimed they are moving my things and will keep it until I pay them, also I am now going to have to pay $150 per day for storage fees. This why they only want cash, zelle, paypal, venmo...

I did file a dispute, on my deposit of $1900 from Venture Van Lines, since then I am getting a slow response from Kate Henderson and with no compromise.
It went from $7900 to $7300 to now $7200.
There is no guarantee my things will be delivered. And I paid for platinum packing, guess what, I was packing. My fragiles where not bubble wrapped.. and we both know they will not cover any damages, it is now almost a month of waiting. I refuse to pay anything unless my belongings arrive in Florida unbroken and my electronics etc are still working.
My belongings does not cost 8k, I do have sentimental things. I would be a fool to trust this company after a month of going back and forth and paying what they are asking.
There is no guarantee that my things will be shipped or unbroken.
I hope this will come to a compromise, as of now, my belongings remains hostage, in Storage and in Los angeles.

Please do yourself a favor and do not fall Victim for their Scam!!
What they are doing is unfair, they have done this to numerous people.

I don't believe they have an actual office, the broker seems to be working out of a home, look it up.

Sadly, I fell victim and I hope to put a stop to this, for future residents that are relocating.
I will be Florida soon and will visit this pressumed office.
I also filed a report with LAPD, Better Business Bureau and Bureau of household goods and Services.

This company doesn’t even deserve the 1 star. After reporting them to the BBB (complaint #20971947), Kate swore they were working on resolving the issue and that they take these matters seriously. She lied stating they have been speaking with me on the phone (to which we NEVER talked on the phone) stating they “explained” there was a delay. How do you delay a refund for 5 months? I never received anything from the company other than emails saying my payment was being processed AND the request to remove my negative review. Why would I do that when I still don’t have the money that the company has confirmed they owe me. I won’t say that these positive reviews are fake, but I will say based on my experience the negative ones are 100% correct. If you are considering this company, don’t walk, RUN away before you too are scammed out of your money or possessions.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED! We chose this company because we were told the very inexpensive cost compared to other movers. What we should have done was read the reviews first. Given a price, then they changed it a bit because they said we had a bit more things to add to the list. When they came to pick up our furniture, they increased it several thousand more, but because they wrapped everything so well, we paid them again.
When our furniture arrived a couple of weeks later then we were told, it was in a small van and it was water soaked and things were broken and warped. They said we owed a thousand dollars more than we were told. Argued and they finally agreed. We wouldn’t have paid but they wouldn’t unload if we didn’t pay first.
Wish we could have seen the damage first before we paid!!

Venture Van Line portrays itself as a reputable moving company, but my recent experience with them proved otherwise. From the outset, they seemed professional, offering competitive rates and promising a hassle-free moving process. However, what followed was nothing short of a nightmare.

Firstly, their initial estimate was significantly lower than the final cost. Once they had my belongings loaded onto their truck, they demanded additional fees for "unexpected" services and claimed my items required more space than anticipated. Moreover, the communication throughout the process was abysmal. Despite assurances of regular updates, I was left in the dark for days on end, unsure of the whereabouts of my belongings or when they would arrive at my new home.

To make matters worse, upon delivery, several of my items were damaged beyond repair. Despite paying for their "professional packing services," it was evident that little care had been taken to ensure the safety of my possessions.

Attempting to address these issues with Venture Van Line proved futile. Their customer service was evasive and uncooperative, offering no resolution or compensation for the damages incurred.

In conclusion, Venture Van Line is not to be trusted. They lure customers in with false promises and then exploit them for profit. Save yourself the stress and financial loss by avoiding this company at all costs.

I have contacted the local company that Venture Van Line Florida contracted to move my possessions and they have not contacted me back to bring my possessions to Idaho. Still waiting after initial contact March 6, 2024 . They told me to text my information and they would confirm the delivery and I am still waiting. I gave them my delivery address and still have heard nothing. I called this morning 03-08-2024 and no answer so I left my delivery information again. I will continue to call but again. So far I would give this company a zero for honest service.

Couldn’t rate this company more highly. Everything was made easy, from initial communications to packing on the day, and team helped to find our storage container and get in touch with the company we were using when the instructions were not clear. Very fair pricing. 100% recommend.

Horrible communication, I wouldn’t trust them with a plant let alone a whole move.

Scammer , fraud this moving company. I had a disappointing experience with Venture Van Lines LLC. The quoted amount significantly differed from what they charged on the pickup day. This lack of transparency raises concerns about their pricing practices, making it difficult to trust their services.
They gave estimates 2700$ ,
when truck driver show up he gave me 7500$. And will asked you advanced payment for booking which is non refundable . I never faced such a big scam in my life .

The Fraud and Scam company. They do not want to pay my refund and do not answer calls/emails. This company should not be exist legally.
