Best open-source encryption software…

VeraCrypt from the creators of TrueCrypt is the best open-source encryption software out there with no back doors. If you don't own Windows 10 Pro you can easily encrypt your entire drive.

Offers very hardcore encryption algorithms that are unbreakable until the invention of quantum computers.

You can even use triple-layered encryption. Like AES 256, Twofish, and Serpent

Be sure to check of "Encrypt password stored in RAM" in settings!

I feel safe taking my laptop with me on holidays knowing that no thieves will ever get access to any of my personal data

This software works for whistleblowers as well, and have been tested in real-world scenarios where it could not be broken. Make sure your password can't be brute-forced.

Will not go without this program.

was sad to see truecrypt go, but veracrypt takes it several steps further. You can even decrypt truecrypt volumes with veracrypt. This is a top notch program to those seeking file or folder encryption or hidden volumes.
