The light we bought stopped working the day it was installed. It also arrived with all the parts required, and without a control to change the color of the light. I wrote to the company and I am waiting for a response, but this is incredibly disappointing.

Like others, I received items of poor quality, and also damaged. It took 4 weeks of bizarre communication before they agreed to accept the return, which was shipped and received, including all the information that they required. I have now been waiting for two weeks to receive information about my refund. Reading the recent reviews, I am not optimistic. What can be done about this scam company? They appear friendly and professional at first, but then they make things really frustrating and impossible for the consumer.

I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from VerlichtingsHuis to stay far away. My experience has been a nightmare of legal violations and customer service gaslighting.

I attempted to return two lamps according to my legal Right of Withdrawal. I sent the package to the address explicitly listed on their own website (Keizersgracht 520H, Amsterdam). The shipment was refused by the recipient.

I personally visited the address, only to be told by the current occupants that VerlichtingsHuis has long since vacated the building. When I reached out to their customer service, "Sascha" attempted to gaslight me, claiming it was "my own fault" for sending it to the address listed on their own site and accusing me of not following instructions, despite the fact that they are legally required to provide a valid business address.

They are now providing a residential address in Amstelveen and demanding I pay for shipping a second time, while falsely accusing me of "not having sent the items." This is a clear attempt to obstruct a consumer's legal rights.

I have already reported this company to WebwinkelKeur, the ACM (ConsuWijzer), and their payment provider for trade fraud and providing false business information.

Pros: None.

Cons: Fake addresses, refusal of legal returns, aggressive and deceptive customer service. Do not trust their "Dutch" appearance; they are a deceptive operation.

Edit: "customer service" thinks it's funny to taunt their customers via email. I have filed a police report for internet fraud, and I suggest that anyone in my position do the same. This is the only way we can put such scammers out of business for good.

Worst experience. Product was delivered broken, client service is almost absent. I sent the product back and I am busy on getting the money back but they keep asking additional information although the product is already in their possession. Really incredible. I will escalate this if I will not get answer from them.
Also the quality is below expectations, everything is plastic and overpriced. You can get it delivered from China probably with 100-150 euro cheaper. Do not trust this site and do not bother to buy anything although their site is presenting them in a different light. Quality is really really bad and they treat their clients with arrogance and lies.

I ordered a lamp for around 250 euros. It came from China and it’s a bunch of plastic crap. Tried to reach there contact number, doesn’t work. Have been waiting to get a response from the email. Nothing yet.

Delivery was made in time. Materials were well packed and received without damage. Really satisfied with the ordered materials. Great job.

Extremely low quality and over-priced ceiling lamps. Waited for more than 2 weeks and the result is more than disappointing.

I was looking for unique designs and I came across Verlichtingshuis. Ordered a LED wall light, the delivery was very fast and the quality is perfect!! Next time I need a lamp, I will certainly go back to this website!

I would give less than 1 star if possible. First shipment was "lost" and resent. Arrived without any sort of installation instructions and lamp will require the service of an electrician to connect all the internal wires to be remotely safe to use.

Have reached out to customer service 2 times asking for an instruction manual with no response.

Would not recommend.

I really wanted to buy a designer lamp and a friend recommended me to check Verlichtingshuis. I ordered a beautiful lamp for my dinner table and it looks absolutely what I was looking for. Happy! :)
