Zero customer service once you have bought a car
I have had a very bad experience after purchasing a second hand Dacia Duster Extreme (low mileage and within warranty) off the Vertu Renault Garage at 111 Thornton Road, Bradford on Mon 27 July 2026.
Before I even got home there was a problem with the cars navigation system, I contacted Dacia support the following day, who said it needs a factory reset but were unable to help talk me through it as the screen has an 'Admin 1' feature locking me out (this was the previous owner).
I called Vertu Renault Garage at Bradford and asked if they could get hold of the number as the person had traded in his Dacia for another. They told me they had never heard of that problem. Really? It is quite a common fixture on new cars. There was no response to my request for help. I spoke to another person about the problem. He didn't get back to me either. I Emailed one of them as a reminder and another manager and also the workshop people (I also left a voicemail message with the latter). All these people ignored me. Message after message got no reply. Including further Emails.
I spoke with Dacia support again this morning (who were helpful again) and they said the factory reset should have been a standard thing with a second-hand car. To date now (03 August) I have not had any response to my phone messages or emails. It appears the people in Bradford Vertu are happy to sell a car but the after sales help is none existent. They won't do anything to help me with the problem they have caused by their incompetence. The attitude is we've sold it so sod off and hard luck mate.
Avoid these people at all costs, it has been a nightmare. I spent hours over a week trying to get through to them and the problem is still not fixed.
