We were offered a "free" ride by our hotel to Murano, which turned out to be a ride to Venier's factory showroom, where you arrive and leave by boat. After we bought some pieces, the person at Venier had the cheek to tell us there was nothing else to see in Murano besides Venier's factory showroom and "kindly" offered us a "free" ride back to Piazza San Marco. What an unpleasant surprise it was to discover the cheap lie when we later went to Murano's historical center by ourselves.
