Poor Care, Accountability and treatment

As a long-standing client, I never imagined I would be writing this review.

I would not recommend this practice to anyone for the below reasons, it has taken me almost 5 months to be able to write this, and they have taken no accountability.

My previous dog in 2024 received exceptional care from this practice for over a year. Sadly, my experience with Teddy was completely different.

In Teddy’s final days From my perspective, there were delays in assessment, delays in receiving his pain relief prescription, and difficulties accessing timely care when Teddy needed it most. I believe these delays had a significant impact on Teddy’s comfort and meant he experienced unnecessary pain in his final days.

My concerns relate to the days leading up to his final visit.

Throughout the complaints process and mediation, I sought one thing above all else: acknowledgement that Teddy’s care in his final days fell below the standard he deserved. I never received that acknowledgement.

Teddy deserved dignity, compassion and timely care right until the end.

What I find hardest to come to terms with is that, instead of being able to spend Teddy’s final days simply being with him, comforting him and making memories, I was spending that precious time chasing appointments, requesting pain relief and begging for help because I believed he was suffering. Those are moments I will never get back.

I hope that by sharing my experience, no other family has to go through what Teddy and I did.

To highlight how little they care, I had Teddy for just under a year, even his sorry for your loss card said, all the years you and Teddy spent together , its really been so hard to write this review about a practice I trusted for so long but noone else should have to beg for there dog to be considered for an emergency appointment- when his appointments had previously been moved or delayed for emergencies- my boy wasnt worthy to them .

It seems since they started franchising the standard of care has dropped

Stress free

Amazing, absolutely amazing. They visited my home just a couple of days ago to preform castration on my male cat . The process made me feel at ease , they talked me through everything. Brilliant friendly nurses. My boy was returned from the van which was parked right outside within an hour , he was just waking up . Not at all stressed but wanting to be free . I wholeheartedly believe this is a less stressful way for all your small fur babies. I recommend this company to everyone who needs a vets help. Also recommended by Lil Peep 🐈

Wow!

Wow, I just got the best service from a knowledgeable and friendly vet and nurse. They were so good with my animals who were so much calmer being examined at home. Their heart rates were even slower! There was no rush, everything was explained clearly to me and they can do everything that would be done in a surgery. It was such a lovely experience for me and my pets.

Unbelievably Kind yet professional Vets - West Midlands

We are in the WV postcode bracket in West Midlands with a suspected illness with my 14 year old service bulldog had been brushed off twice by the PDSA even though we knew something was wrong. She suddenly fell ill violently and we found Vets on the Meowve by chance. From the moment we made the call, we felt reassured thanks to Claire. She was sending them right away and kept us on the phone just like an emergency 999 call. Calm, kind, extremely understanding but with a professional flair that is rare to find post Covid. She got every bit of info over the phone to relay to the crew as they raced to us.
The first to enter the home when the van turned up looking like a hi-tech modern mobile vet clinic was William (The registered Vet Nurse) He brought a calm to the room instantly with his immediate care and assessment of my baby girl as Mel (The Vet) gathered what she needed to investigate.
My girl had just come out of season at 14 and after she suddenly started to throw up and suddenly fit for a few seconds. Right away Mel had an idea she had "Pyometra". (Yeah, us too, we have never heard of that either.) We were told of plenty of issues regarding non spayed females but nothing as violent as this condition.
My baby of 13 years had no more than 48 hours or put her through hell with operations that were likely to take her on the table. While we fell apart, they didn't and handled us incredibly kind and explained in detail, then shaved her belly and got out a mobile Ultrasound to confirm it was bad. We could see it and couldn't put her through any more and agreed with Mel. They gave my girl a small pain free jab to fully relax her and gave us some time alone to say goodbye. She was laid down and covered in a blanket as she was given the last injection.
Never have I had such respect for two professionals in such a brutal profession when it is clear cut end of life.
My baby girl of 13 years was neatly tucked in like she was fast asleep, with no more pain and suffering. She was gently and incredibly respectfully carried from my home and then returned the ashes to us without us needing to do a thing.
It didn't end there, the after care and calls to follow up shows they are 100% genuinely caring.

The part most want to know, how to pay for it?

We had multiple plans explained to us for hassle free monthly payments within our budget. Just like insurance claims, you have to pay the excess and the callout fee of £149. Don't let cost stop you calling, they can help I am sure.

Easiest 5 stars I have ever given in my life.

Thank you Mel, Claire and Will. You made a devastating incident easier to face.
