Rented a car had fantastic customer service from Matteo and Valentina very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend and I would use them again if I go to Cagliari thank you.

Mateo was super helpful. Upgraded car. It had a few dings here and there but Mateo asked if we were OK with that and recommended we took a before, and after video,,,, just in case. As our happens, there wasn't any issue with the return or the release of the deposit.

Handy location, great prices, nice cars, low deposit and highly efficient staff like Matteo make rental a breeze!

Terrible service. After waiting for 45 minutes at the desk and another 20 of processing, we were told that the car we had booked in advance was not available. So now we are told to wait another 90 minutes. God knows how long it will actually be. No compensation, no apology, nothing. They don't even want to give me written confirmation of the delay.

Quick and smooth check-in and check-out, with very friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a bigger and better car than we booked. Adding a second driver was cheaper directly at the desk compared to the broker, which was a nice bonus.
The team was very flexible and kindly allowed us to adjust our return time for free within the 4-day limit, since our host changed the check-out time. Communication was excellent—quick responses to calls, and all information and advice were explained clearly.
Overall, a great experience with excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

Renting a car via Viaggiare ren was very good experience. Pick up was easy, just a bit surprise for me was a self check-in when I got the key and I should make a video of the car by myself and send it to the phone number via WhatsApp. A bit difficult at 11pm with lack of street lights. 🙂 The car (Citroen C3) was almost new with parking cam, modern infotainment. The drop off process very easy and smooth. The staff checked the car - now personally - and got me sign the protocol in his mobile app. The only strange moment was to spend 20 mins. by finding the dropp off parking lot as we delivered the car on another location then we have collected. If you will do it similarly, please ask for precise location when check-in.

Excellent Rental Car Company

Good price, good vehicle, convenient on-airport location at both Cagliari and Olbia. And they respectfully accepted that I already had excess insurance - none of the unpleasant aggressive hard sell of additional insurance you so often experience at pick-up. Viaggiare will be my first choice company in Italy now.

We had online checkin and we was waiting a little bit, but its normal. We had rezervation on another car, but Dacia Duster was great. Im glad that deposit was returned after few working days. Everything was allright

Worst car rental experience ever – AVOID VIAGGIARE! 🚨

My wife and I travel to Sardinia every year (she’s from there), but this was our first and LAST time with Viaggiare. Total disaster from start to finish.
We booked through discovercars.com and paid extra for full insurance coverage. The booking receipt literally said: “Your risks are covered. Additional coverage may be offered at the desk. You may decline this.”

❌ Shock #1: At the desk in Cagliari airport, Viaggiare told us this coverage was worthless because they “don’t recognise discovercars.com.” We had no choice but to pay €400 extra for their own insurance, or risk driving completely unprotected. No transparency, no sympathy – just a scam.
❌ Shock #2: They only accept CREDIT cards (not debit, not other types). If you don’t have one, you’re stuck paying MORE. This happened to us and to a French couple next to us. Already unfair and humiliating.
❌ Shock #3: We were offered two cars (Skoda Fabia & Citroën C3). We trusted the employee’s advice and chose the Skoda which was pretty small but we didn’t know until we got the keys and discovered in the parking lot. Minutes later, in the car park, we realised the French couple actually wanted the Skoda while we needed the bigger C3. Perfect swap, right? Same cars, same price, same insurance. But no… Viaggiare demanded another €80 PER COUPLE just to swap the cars. Pure daylight robbery.

By this point:
* €370 extra insurance
* €80 ridiculous swap fee
* €150 deposit (still didn’t receive it back a week after dropping the car…)
💸 That’s €630 gone before even starting our holiday!

❌ Final insult: On return, after leaving the car spotless, I politely warned an employee about a suspicious bag left on the ground next to a car without no one around (thinking safety first). His response? A rude, dismissive “I KNOW!” with a look that made me feel like an idiot. Unprofessional and nasty.

👉 This company and discovercars.com are built on hidden fees, scams, and rudeness. Reading other reviews later, we realised our story is very common.
⚠️ Do yourself a favour: AVOID VIAGGIARE. Save your money, your nerves, and your holiday.

Tutto perfetto

Everything was okay! We had a Fiat Panda with 0 excess and an additional driver. The 0 excess is the reason I picked this company cause many don't offer it, and you never know what happens in Italy.
Our flight was 2 hours earlier than planned so I mailed the company in advance if that was okay. I got a fast reply saying it was no problem. (The email address was hard to find though, found it in their Terms of Service as the website didn't state any address.)
Service was quick at Elmas airport and we easily had our car. This company also offers a low 'bond' on the creditcard. Would recommend!
