Horrible experience. Ordered a suit and sent me the wrong pants. Contacted them and was told to send the pants back which I did on my dime. Same package returned to my doorstep 2 months later because they wouldn't except the package. Contacted them again and they said they would just ship the new ones. Never received them and kept contacting them and getting the round around and excuses and was told they are out of business. He even sent me a picture of my pants and now they ignore me. Horrible people and business!!!! Update now they blocked me on facebook.

I ordered and payed for a suit at the start of march 2019 still not received the suit in July. Email after email, phone call after phone call and no answer from either. We can see they have read the emails but still no response. Had to buy another suit for my wedding from elsewhere. Shame as when they do bother to make a suit it looks great. Please don't waste your time or money on this scam company, you will regret it.

Do Not Ever consider trusting Victor Valentine with providing suits for your wedding day!! Two days prior to my wedding, the owner at Victor Valentine informed me he could not provide the tailored suits I had paid for months previously. He is completely unprofessional and unreliable. The owner, who if I name will have this review removed (even just his initials), is not a tailor himself and I take strong issue with the claim his company is 'perfect for weddings'. I do not want anyone else to go through the experience I went through so close to the big day. Do NOT use Victor Valentine. (Oh, and I had to chase him for my money back - for which there was no compensation nor any offer of one.)

Terrible service and sub-standard suits. I ordered 3 jackets, 4 waistcoats and 6 pairs of trousers for a wedding. Despite being told they took around 30 days to be made they were still not ready over 2 months later. About 1 month before my wedding they were still not ready. The only way I could get any kind of update was by repeatedly phoning and emailing. When I did eventually get to speak to someone they assured me the suits would be ready shortly but they never were.

1 week before my wedding they were still not ready and there was no way I could get my father in law and groomsmen down from the Midlands and South Wales to try them on by this point anyway. The owner assured me the suits would be posted out 6 days before my wedding and if there were any problems with the fit he would drive to anywhere in the country to sort it out. They weren't posted until the Monday, 4 days before the wedding. When they did arrive none of the trousers fit and everyone had to get them altered. The owner offered to pay for this but never did. I am local so tried my jacket on but, like the trousers, it didn't fit properly. The owner took them away to alter them and brought them back on the Wednesday, 2 days before my wedding and the day before I was due to drive up to the venue. If anything the jacket fit was worse but it was too late to do anything about it.

He told me he would make another jacket for after the wedding but this never happened and I was left with an ill fitting jacket for my wedding day. I have heard nothing since and have paid full price for a number of products which are far from the quality you would expect. The owner is all talk and salesmanship with nothing to back it up. I would avoid at all costs and go to 'a suit that fits' or 'get the drop' if I was doing it again.

I ordered a three piece gray tweed suit (with extra trousers) in August and was assured they would get in touch in about a month. Heard nothing for a month and a half and after weeks of chasing I did the final fitting in November and ended up getting the suit in December (but I am still chasing the extra trousers).

I gave 3 stars as an average of the suit (five stars, good quality, very nice cut, lovely fabric and at a very reasonable price) and of the service (zero stars, what a pain in the proverbial).

I'd like to get another suit (in brown) but I'm not sure I can stand the aggravation.

UPDATE
My spare trousers are still missing, I am contacting trading standards and I will not get a new suit from this people.

Stay away from Victor Valentine!
Such a shame!

Used this company for my husbands wedding suit and it was a nightmare from start to finish. I had to chase them from start to finish. We started the process 7 months before the wedding and the suit arrive two days before the wedding. During this time, they lost my husbands suit and had to remake one. The resumed me again and again that they would get it to me within plenty of time. When it finally arrived the waistcoat was wrong and the trousers were not fully lined so I had to spend the day before the wedding taking the suit apart myself to alter it. I would never use this company again. Don’t risk this for a wedding, as it is the most important day of your life.

Suit never showed up. A week before our wedding, the owner, on the phone, promised us profusely it would be there in time. Two days before the wedding when I grilled him, he told me they hadn't even sent it yet and we were forced to find a last minute alternative. Worst part was that they had me believe, down to the last days, that everything was fine. Hands down, worst part of our wedding experience.

They're all words, sounding genuine, but absolutely not worthy of your trust or money. I've never been so let down by a company in my life. I'm not one to raise a fuss!

If you read below, I'm not the only person this happened to. Two others mention weddings where, a few days before the wedding, learned the suits would not be there.

Ordering a £500 suit online is not something that I take lightly. I’ve never spent that much on a suit before but I had a big event coming up and needed something flashy!

Victor Valentine had been on my radar for a while but they were over 3 hours away and I didn’t fancy the journey. Having spoken via email and telephone to confirm some details, I was confident enough to pull the trigger

My confidence was rewarded when the suit arrived! It’s a truly magnificent work of art. These guys make mighty fine Suits. To say I stole the show would be an understatement!

I can’t believe I am writing these words because we put so much faith and trust into this company but he let us down time and time again. My husband wanted something different for his wedding suit and we couldn’t believe our luck when we come across Victor Valentine, it was perfect! We wanted two 3 piece suits and 5 sets of trousers and waistcoats! He told us to come back nearer the time because it would take approx 30 days for the order to be finished. We were getting married at the end of August. I wanted to allow for a little room for any issues because I had read previous reviews which said things were late. We got everyone over to be measured and finalised the order by email on 3 July which should have allowed plenty of time. We didn’t hear anything after the order was placed and started chasing at the end of July but nothing. A friend of ours had also ordered a suit from him and was getting married at the beginning of August, he messaged us to warn us because it was a few days before his wedding and the suits hadn’t arrived! This made us really concerned and so I started to chase him every few days! His customer service was shocking, he did not reply when he said he would and I had to keep chasing all the time! It just got from bad to worse! Our friend did get his suits and so we thought we would be fine but how stupid were we! We were told the suits would be delivered on several occasions but then it never happened and we were let down time and time again. This was a couple of weeks before the wedding and so as you can imagine I was getting very stressed! It was the weekend before the wedding and we laid our cards on the table with him and gave him every opportunity to be honest with us and said we needed to know exactly what was happening with the suits (apparently his master tailor had been off for a while which had caused problems - I now don’t believe a word of this!) he promised us that we would get our suits but that he needed to let his team have the weekend to catch up and so would contact us on Monday morning to give an update! I said if at any time during the weekend it becomes clear that the suits won’t be finished he needs to let us know so that we can look elsewhere (I couldn’t believe I was saying these words less than a week before the wedding!) he agreed and reassured us that they would 100% be complete! So we trusted in him and didn’t hear anything all weekend, Monday morning came and we were told they’re still not ready! 😮 they just needed a little more time and again we were reassured that they would 100% be ready and he apologised etc giving more excuses! We were so understanding and actually felt bad for him because it sounded as if he had been let down! We agreed that he would bring all the suits to our home address on the Wednesday (we were getting married on Sunday!) he said that he would keep us posted! I chased again on Tuesday morning and received a text to say everything was plotted out and all still fine for Wednesday at 7pm and he would keep close tabs on them. So Wednesday came around and we were at work! We chased again in the morning and had arranged for all the groomsmen to meet at ours (the 3rd time we had arranged this and had to mess people about) He had left me a voicemail which confirmed that the suits wouldn’t be ready!!! 😡😡😡 we could not believe our ears!! More excuses followed about how his tailors who he has worked with for 14 years have let him down and signed a massive contract without him knowing and so our suits has basically been pushed to the side, even though we were told that they were almost ready on several occasions!! I am furious that he did this to us 4 days before our wedding!! We gave him so many chances to be honest with us so we could look elsewhere and we’re always understanding!! I still can’t believe it! We were left with 4 days to find 7 new suits in tweed!!! Yes he did refund our money that day but that is irrelevant and does not make up for the stress that this situation caused! He should never have left it that late to tell us we would not get our suits!! Please be careful if you are placing an order here! Don’t trust him!! We did and look where it got us! He didn’t even text to see if we managed to get suits! We haven’t heard anything from him since and all he seemed to care about was how much he had been let down!! We didn’t care about that! Luckily, we managed to buy new amazing suits from Moss Bros and the service was amazing!! We had 2 days to sort everything and they were great! We couldn’t get the personalised details that we had ordered but we were so grateful that we managed to get suits! They do offer this service and actually guarantee a 30 day delivery but we were too late because we trusted in someone who offered the same service but didn’t deliver!! I have seen a similar review on here and they still got their suits! We haven’t heard anything!! We just saw a stock clearance on Facebook so perhaps that where our suits ended or perhaps they were never even made!!!

I want to give 3 stars for the experience as there were a few hiccups, from appointments being overbooked/changed at short notice, hire suits being wrongly sized and late delivery of the groom's suit. However, I would rate nothing less than 5 stars for the groom's suit as it is of the utmost amazing quality, workmanship and fit that I would not let the few hiccups put you off. The groom is of tall slim build and would never have found an off the peg suit to fit let alone of the quality and colour he wanted. Damon is extremely knowledgeable and gave great advice and although there were a few hiccups he never once ignored any of my messages and constantly kept me in the loop. If you're looking for a unique M2M suit, Damon is definitely where you should go.

This review documents my experience with the Victor Valentine business as it unfolded.

Part 1, Wed 11th Jan 2017
I arranged a measuring appointment over email and phone. They were polite, timely and responsive. A sample was also sent to me straight away at no cost.

Part 2, Sat 18th Feb 2017
I got measured up today, it felt thorough and not rushed. I am a complete virgin to the world of tailored suits. I have done a little research, but that is all. This only gave me questions to ask. They were patient and extremely helpful - they talked me though everything I could think of and offered advice when asked for and appropriate. I took up nearly an hour of their time. They also didn't feel like they were trying to up-sell me at any point.

I also want to explore the option of getting a second waistcoat for my sister who will be my best man. They warned me that as they do not usually make waistcoats for ladies that it may not be possible to complete it in my timeframe and that there would be an extra cost. We left my sister's measurements and I am expecting an email from them this week with a quote and a possible ETA. From there we will decide whether or not to proceed with getting it made.

UPDATE: Received a phone-call on Tuesday 21st Feb, RE: the above. The deadline I'm working to is too tight to complete my sister's waistcoat in time (just as I was forewarned it might be). This was important to know quickly as we have time to explore other options. Good service and communication.
UPDATE: In order to facillitate my need for a matching woman's waistcoat VV allowed me to buy the materials so that I can get the garment built elsewhere. Ordered on March 2nd. All fabrics and buttons arrived with me as predicted on March 15th.

Put down a %50 deposit for the suit at the measuring. Suit is expected to be finished on the 18th March. Am returning on Wednesday 22nd for follow up incase final alterations are required. I live in London and have to drive down after work, they flexibly offered to stay open late just incase the traffic was bad.

Part 3, Wed 22nd Mar 2017. Went for the fitting, the suit required no alterations and looked brilliant. They would have steamed it, but as I wanted to take it with me at the time it was impossible.

In conclusion: Every aspect of dealing with this company and it's tailors has met or exceeded my expectations, photos of the final product can be seen on the version of this review which I posted on the google maps icon for their shop. The suit is of excellent quality, and was fantastic value. I will certainly be returning next time I want to buy a new suit. Further I have and would recommend Victor Valentine to anyone I know.

Finally 1 year hence I can say without hesitation that the suit is still going strong and has being put to good use, serving me very well on numerous occasions.

The suit is of the highest quality: I love the material, it fits great (had a couple of alterations after the initial delivery but that was to be expected) and I got not no end of compliments on my wedding day. My decision to go down the tailored route rather than “off the peg” was vindicated. I did have a couple of issues in the first instance with my order taking longer than expected/quoted to complete and had little communication about this. However, I spoke to Damon who explained the circumstances and took it upon himself to ensured my order was completed quickly afterwards. Everyone I spoke to at VV was friendly and seemed committed to helping.

I have never experienced customer service this bad! I ordered my suit in January. The lead time was quoted on the website as 28 days, this was then revised to 2 months due to high demand. Which was fine, I understand that can happen sometimes. I was promised my suit at the end of February. February came and went and I was still without my suit. Appologies were made and I was promised in mid March that I would have my order within a week. Well... It's now 18th April and I am STILL WITHOUT MY SUIT. My wedding is in 3 days. I originally said my wedding was on the 14th April to ensure it arrived in time. The owner messaged me and said he would personally drive the suit to my house so I could have it in time for my wedding. This was a week ago and I have heard absolutely nothing since.
This is the absolutely worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Avoid them like the plague. They will take your money, promise the world and then never deliver.
I finally got my money back, my suit is still promised but to be honest I'm not holding out much hope of getting it. I'm questioning whether it was even started in the first place.

I just received my suit yesterday. What an excellent built suit.

Finally somebody reached me and giving a good effort to my satisfaction on emails.
I had few questions and got all answers in short time.
I'll be giving high rates and erasing bad reviews when my suit arrives.

Just received my grey cashmere tweed and I've got to say that I'm delighted with it. The quality is top notch and the finish is perfect. It is a simply beautiful suit and it will not be my last from Victor Valentine

Victor Valentine is great. Ordered suit for my wedding and it looks amazing. I sent all my measurements to Karen and she put the order in for me. Any time I had questions she was quick to replay. Great customer service.

I live in U.S. And am a big guy 240lbs so was worried it wouldn't fit but the suit came out perfect.
