Non existent lotusmiles customer service

Non existent customer service relating to lotusmiles. I have been emailing them for several months regarding lotusmiles and issues with my account and ID verification. They fail to respond to my issues with any level of undwrstanding if the issues and replies are generic and meaningless and deal with the issues raised. So frustrated that the service relating to lotusmiles makes me consider to stop using the airline as the issues I'm experiencing givebmenissues from booking tickets, checking in, crediting airmiles to my Lotus account etc.....nothing is simple and countless emails later and I'm made zero progress with their customer service team. I've spoken to staff at the Airports on many occasions. They understand the issue and apologise forbthem but advise the issues can only be resolved by the lotusmiles customer service team and so round and round I go for months with no resolution.

Violation of duty of care and no help

We, a family of three, had booked return tickets with Vietnam Airlines for flights from Amsterdam via Frankfurt to Vietnam on 8 January 2026 and back on 18 January 2026.
Due to a power outage at Schiphol Airport on 8 January, we were unable to check in on time. We immediately reported this disruption to Vietnam Airlines and requested that they protect our tickets and rebook us on the next available alternative flight, invoking our rights under EU Regulation 261/2004, which describes the duty of care of the operating airline. Vietnam Airlines did not arrange anything for us that day, despite several telephone and written requests to do so, thereby violating its duty of care. We ultimately had to purchase new one-way tickets to get to Vietnam.
But Vietnam Airlines made matters worse by unfairly and incorrectly classifying us as no-shows a few days later, even though they were aware of our situation, which meant that our return journey would also be cancelled. So in the end, we had to buy new one-way tickets for the return journey!
From the moment the disruption occurred, Vietnam Airlines provided us with very poor assistance: Vietnam Airlines (i) failed to help us, (ii) repeatedly referred us to other parties or other counters within Vietnam Airlines without justification, (iii) did not provide a substantive response to our emails or responded too late, and (iv) sporadically communicated factual inaccuracies to us (such as that a flight had been cancelled?!).
We have suffered considerable damage as a result of the actions or omissions of Vietnam Airlines and have therefore sent them a Liability Notice including an amicable settlement proposal, but again there was no timely, substantive response (only another referral to a partner).
Vietnam Airlines has continuously stalled in this case in the hope that we would drop our justified claim. We are very disappointed in Vietnam Airlines' service and are currently preparing a lawsuit against Vietnam Airlines, the results of which we will also publish on this platform so that other passengers are aware of their rights in such cases and operating airline carriers comply with their duty of care under EU261/2004 and other contractual obligations.

Smooth flights

Took a total of 6 flights. All but one left on time and arrived early or on time. One flight delayed by increased traffic due to New Year arrivals. Staff excellent, women in beautiful traditional dress. Free soft drinks. Communication from pilot was limited and difficult to hear.

Purchased Seat Not Honoured

I paid an additional fee to select and secure a specific seat on Vietnam Airlines. Despite this, my selected seat was given to another passenger. I was reassigned to a different seat due to what the airline described as an aircraft change.- which later turned out to be a lie, as I saw someone else sitting on the seat I paid 80 dollars for.

The airline later claimed the new seat was in the same category, but that is not the issue. I paid for a specific seat, and it was not honoured. There was no proper apology, no refund, no compensation, and no meaningful explanation beyond “same category.”

If seat selection cannot be guaranteed, this should be made clear before customers pay extra. Charging for a specific seat and then reallocating it without accountability reflects poor transparency and disappointing customer service.

Exceptional Care on Flight 51 of Vietnam Airlines

There is no need to praise the service of Vietnam Airlines, but what I witnessed yesterday, 26 February 2026, on Flight 51 from Ho Chi Minh City to London strengthened my belief that their service is genuinely exceptional.

I was one of four passengers who required a wheelchair. For that reason, we were the last to exit the aircraft. Among us was a very old and frail lady who could barely walk. Seeing her difficulty, one of the male flight attendants kindly offered to carry her on his back to the wheelchair. Meanwhile, the other stewardesses helped with her carry-on luggage, under the attentive support of a young and beautiful stewardess in a yellow robe.

The whole scene deeply moved me and filled me with pride.

Well done, Vietnam Airlines.

Poor customer service

I had a layover for 22 hours, and the next day, my flight was delayed an additional 12 hours, making me leave at 2:35 AM instead of PM, and Vietnam Airlines refused to give me a room to stay in. I was stranded in the city with no hotel. What makes it even worse is that the had me call them back 4 different times over the course of 3 hours to finally hear this news. Horrible customer service.

can´t complain

We flew from Bangkok to Da Nang, wich was only a 1.5-hour flight, but we still recieved a meal. The food was not bad. The dessert tasted a little chemical but i can´t complain. The crew welcomed us nicely and were very friendly.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we were satisfied with the service.

Overall experience

International flight was 5 star- service was excellent, flight was very full however the service in economy international still was of high standard. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the domestic internal flight. Flights constantly changed. Seats were changed even though we paid extra for seating. No refund offered when seats were changed. Flights delayed to a point where we had to run to catch our connecting international flight. No communication.

Terrible experience — cancelled flight with zero notice and no responsibility taken

My flight was cancelled without any prior notification. I only found out after arriving at the airport, where passengers were forced to wait in an extremely long queue just to be informed of what was going on. This lack of communication is completely unacceptable.

After waiting, we were told we could not fly until the next evening but not even sure 100%.
As a result, we had no choice but to purchase tickets from another airline at our own expense in order to continue with our travel plans.

I contacted the airline immediately, but instead of taking responsibility, they continuously shifted the blame to the third-party booking website. It has now been two weeks, and there has been no refund, no compensation, and not even an apology.

What makes this worse is that this was not an isolated incident. I have had multiple flights with this airline, and recently there have been repeated cancellations and delays, showing a clear pattern of poor reliability and customer service.

This airline demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for passengers’ time and money. I strongly recommend avoiding this airline if you value reliable travel and basic customer support.

I've traveled all over the world and…

I've traveled all over the world and I've never encountered worse treatment than from Vietnam Airlines staff, especially those at Bangkok Airport. I asked them for help, but they ignored me and told me it wasn't their job, while they were playing games on their phones. And that's not all; they insulted me.

Splendid experience. Crew went above and beyond.

My family flew Vietnam Airlines Hanoi-Sydney on Business class. The experience was superb throughout. The crew were polite, attentive and professional. During the flight, a little incident happened where I accidentally dropped my glasses in a very difficult to reach position. The crew were incredibly helpful in their response. Special mention to Thanh Van and Quynh Nga who displayed such quick thinking and professionalism. I am so very grateful and would highly recommend Vietnam Airlines. Our experience was well worth the cost.

Vietnam Airlines applies its pet policy…

Vietnam Airlines applies its pet policy inconsistently.
The same dog (English Cocker Spaniel) was accepted on a flight from Bangkok but denied from Ho Chi Minh City. The breed is not explicitly prohibited — only a vague “spaniel” category exists.

All documents were valid and the airline was notified in advance. No written refusal was provided, only verbal explanations after several days of waiting.

Unreliable airline if you travel with pets.

Zero assistance. Never again.

I booked domestic flights in Vietnam from Hanoi to Con Dao and from Con Dao to Ho Chi Minh City, but due to a change in my vacation plans, I needed to change the destination. Despite numerous emails and requests on the website, not a single response. When canceling, okay, my mistake, but for one of the two flights, I selected "cancel" instead of "refund" and asked if they could still consider a refund request. Guess the response? None. And why on earth does there have to be a "cancel without refund" option? Why? Who wouldn't want their money back? Terrible onboard food, ruined seats,... In conclusion, never again with Vietnam Airlines.

Rip off Vietnam Airways

Two days after I booked my flight I paid £95 for a long leg room seat for a 12 hour flight from London to Vietnam. When I got to the gate in Heathrow I was informed that the seat was not available and I would be refunded the £95. On my return to the UK I contacted Vietnam Airways to request my refund. One year later they are still `looking into it ` and have not repaid my £95. It isn`t sufficient for them to let me down by not providing the seat I paid an extra £95 for, now they force me to take them to court for £95!

A traveler stranded by poor procedures, moving goalposts, and no support

I was denied boarding on Vietnam Airlines flight VN920 from Phnom Penh to Vientiane on 24/12/2025 — the first day of Christmas, which I spent at the airport. Despite having all required documents and following staff instructions, they kept introducing new requirements incrementally, including additional flights, large sums of cash, and an unclear deposit.

This caused a domino effect: lost tours, extra ticket costs, and changes to my return flight. Staff were dismissive and impolite, using hand gestures instead of assisting, and offered no explanation or support or identification. This experience completely disrupted my trip.
