No protection for sellers and terrible customer care

I really like the idea of buying and selling second hand but after I sold a pair of shoes and they went missing, the customer care said too bad and there was no way to help me as the seller. 0 protection for sellers. They've lost me as a user, I'll sell and buy stuff somewhere else.

A joke of a customer support

A joke of a customer support. I moved to another country within EU, changed my phone and changed my bank account. I have only access to my email address, but to log in they also ask for an sms code confirmation. I cannot receive one since I have a new number. Although I offered to send them my ID, official residence documents and many other things to confirm that I am who I am, the support does not read my messages or tries to thing of a solution, just repeats standard answer tempales with no real wish to help. Thanks, my account with reviews and listings is now lost. A joke.

Vinted Ignores Defamatory Reviews — Buyers Beware

Vinted does not protect its buyers. A seller left a defamatory public review on my profile, calling me a scammer — simply because I requested reimbursement for a dead battery in a watch that was never disclosed in the listing. Vinted’s customer support refused to remove the defamatory review, hiding behind vague policy excuses. Their legal department promised a response within 48 hours — still no reply. Vinted allows sellers to publicly defame buyers and does nothing about it. I am now filing a formal complaint with Verbraucherzentrale.

Great App

I used Vinted to sell items that didn’t fit me. It was in really good condition, almost like new. Listing the item was simple and the platform makes it easy to connect with buyers. I’m happy with the experience

I tried to open an account and when i…

I tried to open an account and when i added the security number i never received a code. I was there for hours trying then i tried with other emails the same. So i contacted costumer service to help me open an account they only asked me for information to decide they wont do anything to my account that it would continue to be blocked. I was like? The costumer service is very mean more than i gabe them proof.

Blocked - no idea why

I do not understand this company.
What happened: i have not used the app for years, then couple of month uploaded an outfit. Forgot about it, checked back in a saw that my account was permanently blocked.

For what?! I will never now. Apparently i did something in dispute with their terms and conditions - but since it is a long list, i will never know. I asked for feedback, eventually received a reply but was given only 24 hours to react (after they took 4 days). Obviously i missed the window.
I am not glued to my phone, there is no email or pop up notification… deleted the app. Thanks but no thanks. Would love to support slow fashion but really - what is your problem?

Also - in the reply, nothing specific - basically wanted me to scan all sides of the item i uploaded. Still… I dont know what i did wrong.

Good luck to all of you who try to do a good thing every now and then.
Vinted doesn’t deserve you.

app that doesn't protect the sellers

This is an app that doesn't protect the seller; it's a complete waste of time, money, and materials. All it takes is for the buyer to claim the item arrived with damaged packaging, and they "offer" everything to the buyer (the item and a refund), leaving the seller without their item and without the money from the sale. The evaluation of "damaged" products is done by "standards" and not by individual and careful assessments. Nowadays, any photograph can be manipulated, and Vinted doesn't take that into account, besides not holding the carriers responsible for anything. There are much more serious apps for selling!
