DO NOT GO HERE

DO NOT GO HERE...unless you want to pay $140 for getting your skid plate removed and never put back on. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to get an oil change and filter replaced. Before I went I was at the mechanic where I still had a skid plate. Went to Valvoline where someone was fumbling around underneath my car (which you can see on a video that I had them show me) and then the next day when I moved my car and went to my mechanic the skid plate was gone. Aside from having to get a new skid plate they also: - didn't reset my computer - when I asked if I have an oil leak they told me no I don't (I did, my mechanic fixed it after) They claim they never removed my skid plate or loosened the bolts in order to access the filter. So why did they didn't tell me my skid plate was missing? If I didn't have a skid plate they should have clearly been able to tell that I have a leak? I had an oil leak for who knows how many weeks but never had a drop of oil on my driveway. After the oil change I now have a huge oil stain on my driveway. A weird coincidence that I clearly could tell I have an oil leak after I got back from Valvoline...BECAUSE MY SKID PLATE WAS TAKEN OFF.

Valvoline isn't even trying to be…

Valvoline isn't even trying to be competitive anymore. Their prices over the years have increased past any other places that do oil changes. My last experience will be my last for sure. I have a Hyundai SUV so nothing exotic. Just for the 6 quarts and generic filter they charge me $115. There was no other services done like windshield wipers, air filters, flushes, etc. Just a regular oil change. I couldn't find my 50% off coupon I had & I finally found a $25 off which still put my bill just past $90. I'm done with these crooks.

Messed Up My Car & Left Me with the Bill

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. My car didn't have any issues before I went to the Valvoline. I foolishly believed them that I needed a transmission fluid (TF) change. They did it on my Mazda. As soon as I left Valvoline, I noticed an issue but decided to drive it longer just in case the fluid needed to settle or something. The next day, I started a claim because my car was stuttering when trying to accelerate and wouldn't hold power. I took it to the Mazda dealership, didn't mention the transmission fluid change, and lo and behold, Mazda told me that they put a universal ATF in my car, which is apparently a known no-no in the car world, as Mazda SkyActive Vehicles can only properly run on Mazda's proprietary ATF-FZ. Note- this is the only issue they found on my car causing the stuttering. Instead of doing a $6,000 transmission replacement, I asked them to completely drain the incorrect fluid and put in the correct one. Mazda did it twice, and my car is driving much smoother. Valvoline, however, left me footing an $800 receipt because they are denying that they caused the issue. Despite my extensive research and proof of the direct causal relationship between the two events, they are still denying it. This company is a false advertiser of "experts you can trust." They are selling false services that cause extreme damage. To directly quote my Mazda technician, "Valvoline got incredibly lucky," that my car seems to be working all right now that the change is done. The company itself (not necessarily the workers) is unethical and greedy.

BEWARE

BEWARE! I had a horrible experience here. The place looks nice, and the staff seems friendly, but don’t be fooled. I went in for a simple oil change, and before I even left the parking lot, my car started freaking out. I backed up and told the guy something was seriously wrong, but he brushed it off, saying they just changed the oil. So I drove around the building, and my car was sputtering like crazy. I pulled back in and insisted again that something wasn’t right. My car was in perfect condition when I pulled in.

This time, he said it was probably just the air filters they replaced and that I should drive it a bit and it would go away. I reluctantly left and drove very carefully to my Airbnb. By the way, I was only in town because I had to evacuate my home in Asheville due to my town being destroyed. When I checked the oil dipstick, it was TRIPLE over the full line. My boyfriend and I had to drain the oil they overfilled. When we tried to start the car, it made a terrible sound, so we had it towed to a mechanic. Turns out, THEY DRAINED MY TRANSMISSION FLUID!!!! If I had driven it any further or any faster than I did, my perfect car would’ve been totaled!

It’s been two weeks, and I’ve called several times, but I still haven’t heard back from the “local manager” to get my money back. This oil change ended up costing me $560, plus an insane amount of stress. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CAR!

I go to valvoline on bay rd.in saginaw…

I go to valvoline on bay rd.in saginaw mi. And I get my oil changed and I had a tail light out and mind you I was the only car there but then it got real busy with 3 or 4 cars in each line so at the end I said go ahead and fix it then he says it's a wiring issue without even looking at it just to get me outta there. And the other major thing was when looking at the bill it says everything was checked and filled and ok. Well not sure how that could be becuse my power steering fluid was completely empty becuse of a tiny leak in a line and if they filled it I would have power steering working and there was nothing they never checked it. And I asked if they could check to see wear my exhaust leak was while they were under my truck and this guy says I know where it is and tells me wear it was without even looking .he acted like he knew everything. And he was totally wrong wear the leak was.

Don't trust this place at all

Don't trust this place at all. Went in for car inspection Albemarle, NC and when I went in waiting room noticed a lot of racks with wiper blades and thought bet they will tell me I need them. Sure enough the guy comes in and says they have to replace both blades or they can't pass my car. I said NO and left, went to Ford Dealership and they passed the car and said there was nothing wrong with my blades. This is a script they use to up sale.

Fairfax VA location, awful experience

I am normally not a person to leave bad detailed reviews, but I had an awful experience at this location. To begin with, I requested all the fluids changed on my vehicle, and the tires to be rotated. I was at the location for over 2 hours, while the techs messed around and claimed they didn't know what fluid to put in the vehicle.
After this, they rotated my tires, while doing so they observed I was missing a lug nut. I went to the tire shop next door to get a lug nut, and they put it on for me.
The next day, I went to get an alignment done, and the shop told me that they had crossthreaded one of the lug nuts and they would have to cut the wheel stud to be able to get the tire off, costing me over 200$. They also observed that my rear differential was leaking fluid, and tightened it for me, as that was also cross threaded. I went to a different location and they confirmed that I had lost a large amount of diff fluid. They added more and charged me for this as well.
After this I opened a claim with customer service, to at the very least be reimbursed for the cross threaded lug nut. The store manager, Jordan was very rude and told me he would talk to the area manager, who never called me back. 4 days later, I finally had to call customer service again to be told that Jordan denied my claim and claimed it wasn't their fault. I am left with the expensive bill and not able to speak to any managers. The incompetence of their technicians almost made me leave the location, but they kept telling me it would be done soon.
Beware of this location. I have used valvoline forever for all my vehicles but this left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will be going elsewhere. I spoke to a gentleman at my valvoline and the confirmed that over 2 hours for the services being done was absolutely ridiculous.

Not what I expected on my last visit

I have been using Valvoline for my oil change for years - loved that I got more than an oil change for my $$$. But, Sunday, Sept 15th I took my granddaughter’s car in for an oil change - had a $15. Coupon off synthetic oil change - still cost $91. They did not check any of the lights as they normally do - did not check the cabin air filter - I don’t believe they checked the engine air filter as when they’ve done it in the past they always showed it to me. I actually asked if they still check tire pressure b/c her car showed low pressure on 1 tire - and, they said they would after I finished paying. If they had asked, I probably would’ve had them rotate the tires- but, they didn’t ask. Not the service I am used to - left feeling very short/changed.

Morons

These people are unbelievable. I take my truck in on the 11th for a state inspection. Have to buy a cheap a$$ wiper blade for the driver side.
Then they tell me that their printer is broke but hey it will still be entered into Tex dot so I can renew my registration.
The 12th Nope
The 13th Nope
Someone hit my truck Friday evening so now it’s in the shop for who knows how long.
Sept 16th I call the manager and tell him that I’m STILL WAITING.
Well our printers still out of ink but it will be in tomorrow. Oh but wait, some idiot left the fail on there and didn’t change it after I bout the stupid wiper so you’ll have to bring in in.
ITS IN THE SHOP.
“Well sorry we have to have the truck.”
I know I’m already frustrated overall but what business that DEPENDS on a printer doesn’t keep a spare?
What moron can’t talk to the tech about it and switch it in the system? It clearly states it was Jadon. They left my keys in my truck and then we were looking all over for them so he should remember me between the wiper and the keys!
Incompetent!

This 1 single star goes out to the…

This 1 single star goes out to the shift manager SCOTT. This is the location in Hunters Creek, Orlando, FL. The unprofessionalism I witnessed floored me. I've gone to this location for years and every single employee has been polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. On this one visit Friday evening the employee asked if I wanted my cabin filter checked, I said "yes and thank you". My vehicle was a little more than just pulling out the glove compartment, the employee had to unscrew the entire thing apart and I felt so bad because it was hot and he was sweating, but with a smile and great attitude the entire time. Here is where the manager gets involved, he sees and hears the employee and myself having a conversation about the filter and says "that's a lot of work, you know anywhere else would charge you 2-3x's as much to replace that" not in a helpful way but in a menacing way, as if threatening me that after the employee went thru all that work I better replace the filter. Immediately it was a NO. He then tells the employee "next time don't even ask, that took took much of your time" in the roughest way possible. I couldn't believe the manager said that IN FRONT of a customer! I was embarrassed for the employee who was helping me along with everyone else who had to work on his shift. He truly needs to not be in customer service, he was an absolute a@@hole. I wonder if the review left last year was about the same manager and if so I hope Valvoline sees this and promotes one of the hard workers it already has because SCOTT is not it.

Screwed out of $1800

I would give the zero if I could the Valvoline in Sarasota did an oil change on her truck that was a year and a half old and under 50,000 miles. During that oil change, they messed something up in the engine and the vehicle had to be towed to Ford. The owner of this location did pay the expense for the truck to be fixed. However, we were on vacation. Had to get back home to St. Louis for my husband job and had expenses for the next several weeks going back-and-forth which we had to submit to the claims office. These expenses amount to over $1800 have yet to be reimbursed nor have we even had a response from Valvoline. It has been months and they will not even call us or send us an email. Please do not use this company ever.

Rehearsed Scare Tactics & Verbal Abuse in Swansea

I’ve visited the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Milford Road twice for conventional oil changes, and both times, the managers refused to perform the service. Instead, they launched into a scare tactic script, claiming my vehicles were burning oil, severely low on oil, and required synthetic oil—none of which was true.

The managers used the exact same script on both visits, making me suspect a rehearsed routine rather than genuine concerns.

Both managers spoke to me in a very loud and demeaning way, and became argumentative when I asserted my decision. They don't like getting push-back on their predatory tactics.

No client expects, or wants, to experience verbal abuse during a business transaction. Especially one they are over-paying for.

I wouldn’t recommend this location based on my experiences.

I wouldn't recommend Valvoline based on their support of these predatory tactics and inflated pricing model.

No longer lubricating a vehicle?

I visited Valvoline oil change today for a routine oil change for my Corvette, opting for the full synthetic option. Although the staff delivered exceptional service, I was dismayed to discover that they no longer include lubrication as part of their oil change package. In the interest of maintaining top-notch car condition, I hope the corporate office reconsiders this decision, as lubrication is just as crucial as oil changes.

I will be looking for a new oil change provider

And I also have them service regularly my 7.3 turbo diesel F350 Dully that two will be going to a different provider.
