Saudia Airlines delaying response not to refund money

I am taking this opportunity to report the unfair behavior of Saudi Arabia's national carrier, Saudia Airlines. My two daughters purchased two tickets Rome-Bali, departing on February 15, 2026. They arrived safe and sound the following day, but unfortunately, their suitcases were lost during transit between Jeddah and Singapore. Then my daughters filed a report at the local Lost & Found office and were assured that their luggage would be delivered the next day. Unfortunately, this did not happen; one bag was delivered three days later, on February 19 in Bali, while the second was delivered as late as February 21 in Perth, where my daughters had moved in the meantime. Obviously, during this entire period, they had to purchase clothes and essential items, for which they requested a refund from the airline by submitting all the receipts. The refund request was submitted multiple times through the online platforms available on the airline's website. However, receiving no response at all (not even a ticket with a reference number), it was also forwarded via email and subsequently via registered mail (PEC). The airline's response was downright irritating. First, they waited several weeks and multiple reminders before replying only to redirect us to the website—which we did for the umpteenth time without any results. Upon further prompting, they replied that all documentation had been forwarded to the relevant department.

This response arrived on May 20 after sending several reminders. However, more than three weeks have passed since then and nothing has happened. It is clear that the airline is acting deceitfully, stalling for time in the hope of discouraging the writer and pushing them to give up on the compensation claim. Nevertheless, I know I am in the right and I am simply trying to enforce my rights. I am willing to go all the way, including taking legal action, as a matter of principle and to expose behavior by Saudia Airlines that borders on fraud.
