Superb day out
The Golden Circle tour is quite popular due to the spectacular spots you get to see. I’m very glad we decided to book this tour through VisitTours Iceland. Our tour guide, Halldór, was very knowledgeable and I learned so much about this beautiful country. Before embarking on the tour, he asked us in advance what we were most curious about so that he knew what we would like to spend the most time enjoying.
He talked us through the spots before we got to them so that when we were there you could really take in the sights. He let us explore on our own and he didn’t rush us at all. This really suited us because we don’t like being rushed! He was very attentive to our needs. Due to the weather, he adjusted a few drop off and meet up spots so that we would not be battling the wind in our direction of travel! He took us to a little hidden gem for lunch that was lovely and not too busy. We also even made a stop at a local farm that does great ice cream! It was a fantastic day that I’ll never forget.
He even advised us on what we should see for the rest of our trip which was incredibly helpful information that we acted on!

Best tour guide I have ever had! The tour guide was very knowledgeable (and enthusiastic!), not just for the places we stopped at, but also the various mountains, craters, municipals, etc.
On top of this, he was highly entertaining the entire tour. The tour honestly wizzed by given how much fun we had.

The tour guide I wish for everyone!
Halldór took me and my partner on the Golden Circle tour and I can only recommend it! He is very passionate about Iceland and we learned a lot about the nature and history. We even stopped at a local church/hotel and had an authentic lunch (fish stew and meatballs) which was very delicious (maybe even my favorite meal from my whole stay in Iceland!). I can recommend having a tour with Halldór, he will make your experience unforgettable! 10/10
