Great Helpdesk Session

A big thank you to Shirley-Ann for an excellent meeting. I value all the great advice she gave me and her support for my work. It means a lot. I also just enjoyed the experience of touching base with her again as we haven't had the opportunity to chat for a while now. I find the VAA is a very supportive and helpful organisation to be part of, always available with good advice.

I recommend the portfolio review

Louise was great. I am a professional artist with 50+ years experience but my words were t as powerful as they needed to be. It showed up I low scores on grants.

Her comments were spot on and in just a few hours my site became much stronger.

Much recommended

I am an artist and have been a member of the Visual Artists Association for a couple of years. It has been absolutely worthwhile with countless interesting and helpful webinars and workshops. The staff are deeply experienced in the art world, and are friendly and welcoming, and always there for advice. It’s like being part of a family. There are also paid courses and mentorships on offer, and art competitions. As a member I get many of the workshops for free. I very much recommend joining.

Art Curation Short Course

The Art Curation Short Course was incredibly useful for me as an artist and as the chair of an art association. So many fantastic ideas to improve exhibitions. I would definitely recommend VAA for courses and I will be joining as a member soon

Every minute spent with the VAA is valuable and rewarding!

I have just participated in The Mentor Hour - A Live Q&A session with VAA Artist Mentors. What an amazing hour! Hosted by Louise Minnaar and with guest artist Karen van Hoey Smith. I learned so much about so many aspects of being an emerging artist. Following on from the super-instructive session with Carlo Savos, I have photographed my art and sold one! I followed Karen's advice on how to pack and present it to my client and that certainly had a big impact. The co-founder Shirley Ann O'Neill has helped enormously at each stage of my art journey and now I am following their advice and going to host my own art show!! I am learning so much. Every minute spent with VAA is valuable and rewarding! Thank you everyone!

sales course

My last sales course with VAA was how to handle sales at Art Fairs , and how to get most out of the time at the fair and the all the step by step follow up with clients .
Having a gallery owner as the third party in the zooms also very useful to see their approach ,
This was a four week course and it’s always recorded which is very valuable and one can revisit the conversations . Karen van Hoey creates a friendly atmosphere making it easy to remember the procedure we also had useful homework to do putting guidelines into practice , a valuable exercise . April 2-23

Fabulous Membership for Artists

I have been a premium member for a few years now and find the information provided, online session, community and resources invaluable to artists.

I have used the helpdesk on a couple of occasions with Shirley-Ann O'Neill and these sessions have been fabulous.

I have also had mentoring in the past and found this really helpful for getting me focused on priorities and next steps.

Overall I would highly recommend being a member.

VAA is a great Association for Artists

I've been a part of VAA for a year plus now and the experience has been good. I've had two help desk sessions with Shirley-Ann and those sessions have been priceless. Being part of the association has really helped my career as a full-time artist.

I’ve been with the Visual Artists…

I’ve been with the Visual Artists Association (visual-artists) for two years, and it has truly boosted my art career. Their membership includes excellent benefits like webinars, mentoring, and £5 million liability insurance. The supportive artist community and valuable resources make navigating the art world easier. Highly recommended for serious artists!
