Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 28 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality and not as described or pictured on the website. Customers frequently mentioned that the fabric was cheap, synthetic, and often see-through, differing significantly from the advertised materials like cotton or linen. The patterns were often blurred or poorly printed, and the overall finish of the garments was substandard, with some items arriving defective. Reviewers also expressed frustration with the return policy, which they found to be unclear or difficult to access. Many were asked to return items to China at a cost comparable to the product's price, or were offered only partial refunds. Some customers also felt misled about the company's origin, believing it to be London-based when products were shipped from China.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I bought a dress from them, they sent me the wrong dress to which I have contacted them about, they have not offered to send me the correct item but have said they will give me a refund if i pay to return the item TO CHINA or they will give me a partial refund. When this is not my fault but there's, they are breaking the law with trading standards which I have explained to them but they do not care. DO NOT PURCHASE.

The website portrays to be ‘’London’’…

The website portrays to be ‘’London’’ and claims Royal Mail delivers the items. Which is not true. They come from China and take around 10 days. The items are the equivalent to shien quality, just 3 times the price.

For a refund they expect you to pay €19.

Absolutely avoid at all costs!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE! SCAM!

I can't believe I have fallen to this scam... I saw a dress advertised on instagram and checked the website... it looked ok but made a mistake to buy it without reading reviews.
OMG the dress I got it is so far off to what was advertised. The fabric is different, the colours, the design ..you wouldn't tell it was the same dress at all.
Don't make the same mistake and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!

Cancelled order, no refund – company ignoring UK consumer law

If I could give 0 stars, I would – incredibly stressful experience

I ordered three dresses on 1st July 2025 (£98.86) and received no order confirmation, tracking, or receipt. I became so concerned that I formally cancelled the order before it was delivered, under my rights as a UK consumer.

Despite this, Vita di Palma refused to issue a refund and claimed the items were already in transit. The parcel finally arrived over a week later, delivered to a neighbour while I was away — too late for the psychology conference I needed the dresses for. The whole purchase was completely pointless, and the company's refusal to take responsibility has made this process incredibly stressful and upsetting.

I’ve had to chase them repeatedly, quote the law, and am now preparing a chargeback with my bank, alongside reports to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and MoneySavingExpert.

They claim a “100% return guarantee” but have made every excuse possible to avoid issuing a refund. Their customer service is robotic, evasive, and shows no regard for UK consumer protection laws. I urge others to avoid this company entirely.

I am a reasonable, hard-working person and I’ve made every effort to resolve this calmly and fairly — but my concerns have been repeatedly dismissed. This whole process has left me feeling powerless and exhausted. I genuinely hope no one else has to go through the same experience just for trying to get what they’re entitled to under UK consumer law.

The items I received are of very poor…very bad don’t buy

The items I received are of very poor quality and some are clearly defective. Your website advertises the business as a UK-based shop, but it is now clear that the products are low-quality imports from China. This is misleading.

Silly me for ordering, this is just a scam. And I place a big order, I got it today and had a shock. I also reviewed their refund policy before ordering, and it clearly states that refunds are available. I understand the items were on sale, but that does not justify sending defective products. The condition of the items is unacceptable, and this situation is not my fault.

The dress is faulty , the material is cheap and utterly awful, it has not been made properly , cotton stitching hasn’t been finished. They refuse to send a return label and refused to give me a full refund. Emma is selling clothes that are not as described. Terrible clothes

I wish I would have read these reviews

I wish I would have read these reviews, before I got lead to believe that these items were hand made in Italy and dispatched from London. NOT true, the item does not arrive next day it takes around 2 weeks and is sent from China!
Absolutely shocking material all plucked and doesn’t resemble the item as shown.
Returns are not simple item has to be returned to China at a cost of €19. Absolute con, DO NOT buy from this fraudulent website. You should be a shamed of taking peoples hard earned money. I will be reporting!!

Shocking

Shocking, definitely not like what they advertised. Fabric is awful very thin and see through. Can not wear. When I tried to get my money back they said it would cost me 19 euros and as they are trying to save their environmental footprint it would be better to give it to a friend. Shocking what a scam. Do not buy !!!

I wish I had read these reviews

I wish I had read these reviews. Everything which has been written about this fraudulent operation is true. It is a total con and I was duped by Photoshopped photography into buying a dress which bears no resemblance to the shoddy man-made tent which arrived three weeks later. Straight into the bin. Do not buy anything from so-called Vita di Palma as it is all lies.

Don’t buy from here!

Writing this in the hope it might help others…after 12 emails back and forth, I was offered a refund if I sent my item back at my own cost. I was adamant that I should not have to spend any money returning the item and kept pushing for a refund. The best offer I got was for 70% refund until I used a letter from Which (Letter to refuse paying the cost of returning a faulty item) i think it took three more emails back and forth in which I kept referring to the consumer rights act 2015. In my last email I stated I would no longer be emailing again and sending all out correspondence to my bank to initiate a charge back. They then agreed to a 100% refund. It is possible to get your money back and it is also your right as we were all mislead….if you have the energy!

Avoid!

Fraudulent e commerce clothing website posing as a London based designer boutique. The ‘boutique’ doesn’t exist, their ‘About Us’ history is lies and the cheap and nasty printed nylon clothing they sell bears no resemblance to the photos or descriptions on their website. They use the classic ‘closing down’ ‘clearance’ ‘sale’ etc hooks and bombard social media with their pages and posts showing beautiful clothing that doesn’t exist. All the nylon sacks aka dresses they sent me were made in China and shipped from China. Always be suspicious if a website doesn’t give you an actual physical address/location/landline and just has an email and contact form. I should have known better. Just avoid and don’t get hoodwinked by social media campaigns.

Avoid this shoddy Ottilie Geometric dress

I ordered the Ottilie Geometric dress. It looked lovely in the picture: natural cotton in a colourful design. When it arrived I was very shocked. It was nothing like the picture. The fabric was very synthetic, an enormous size and badly finished. Worst of all, the fabric was a blurry coloured copy of the dress in the photo. Unwearable! I wish I'd looked at Trustpilot as I can now see that several people had identical experiences. It is now going to a charity shop, but I fear it will not sell.

DO NOT BUYThis is a scam

This is a scam. Dress looked like cotton/linen in photography and what arrives is a nasty nylon dress with the pattern printed on. Conveniently no returns on sale items and the whole site is on sale due to them 'closing their London business'. its all lies and a scam. AVOID

Stay away

I ordered the Ottilie dress. I received a pale imitation of it.
The dress is in a cheap, synthetic material, the pattern looks like a photo of the original one.
The return policy is not at check out or easily accessible in the website.
To return it, they ask you to send it back to China at a cost close to that of the dress. In addition, in every e-mail they set slightly different conditions- which never involve a refund. This is a deliberately misleading company with a misleading website and misleading practices.
Stay away. If you have made a rush purchase, then report them to your credit card company, Trading Standards, consumer associations and the social platform where you might have come across them.

Firewall identifies this as Fake E-Store

Despite the Italian name, this is a Chinese company. Re 'Ottilie Geometric Dress': the quality of the fabric is so awful, it's not wearable. It looks as if the pattern was printed from a copy of a copy of a copy ... - the blurred patchwork images are barely recognisable & the colours are all blurred & run into each other. Also the fabric is not the light, summer cotton mix that it seems in the advert - it is a cheap, floppy, synthetic jersey. It looks weeks to arrive and is going straight into the charity bag. My laptop now registers this as a fake e-store - too late, unfortunately. AVOID
