So far my experience with Vivatubes has been excellent. I ordered a matched quad of Genalex Gold Lion Kt88's and they arrived within two days, nicely packaged and with clear communication from the company via email.
Bought 8 new Mullard 12AX7 tubes. Used 5 of them in my Tourmaster, and about a month later started to have problems with the amp. Extensive troubleshooting of the amp revealed it wasn't the amp. Had the new tubes tested, and all failed, including the 3 unused ones. Tried contacting Viva by email, and was told that they were too busy to talk to me via email, and to call them instead. They left me no phone number. Used their online contact form, and received no reply. Looks like I'm out $200. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We fully own that tubes aren't perfect and do not deny that it's likely one or two tubes arrived dead. More on that later.
We strive to reply the same-day with an extremely liberal return policy and, with free shipping. It sounds like this user may have found a defunct email address. Or, we are human, maybe we missed it. All defunct email addresses auto replay with "please email (correct address) as this email isn't regularly monitored".
Since the contact form was mentioned, I will be spending my day testing and correct if it is ends up being that it was routing incorrectly. This has not yet come up but worth checking.
As for the bad tubes. It happens. Tubes are notoriously unreliable and no tube tester on earth can catch all potential issues. Messing with tubes is a major part of this hobby due to the unreliability. For this reason, we take returns without impunity.
The claim of return denial is fabricated. We offer free and seamless returns with the click of a button.
I used this company several times a few years ago and was generally satisfied. However, they seem to censor negative reviews of their tubes — over 90% of the reviews on their site are 5 stars, which is quite suspicious.
One EL84 tube I purchased from them failed (shorted) just 32 days after I received it — only two days past their warranty period. I mentioned this in a 2-star review, but it was never published. I haven’t ordered from them since.

It's unfortunate to see a review based on assumptions rather than facts. We have no record of this customer or their purchase, and they never reached out to us—which we wish they had, because we always try to go above and beyond, even outside warranty.
We don't censor reviews. We just have a great track record. Most of our customers are musicians and techs who rely on our tubes daily. That doesn’t mean every tube is perfect—it means we handle issues when they arise.
