Very unreliable. Many recordings simply disappear or can’t upload and then are gone the next time I open the app, no saving on the device apparently.
They were very prompt in answering all my questions and provided excellent service overall. I really love the app. Thank you to the team for addressing all my concerns.

Its a scam and I will explain through my experience
I signed up for a trial with Voicenotes in August to test their meeting transcription service, but I ended up not using it at all. Since then, I’ve contacted customer support multiple times with a simple request: cancel my subscription and refund the charges. Responses have been delayed, inconsistent, and unhelpful.
The subscription continued for three full months, and they were unable to stop it until October. Eventually, someone on chat support told me they would only refund the last two payments, without offering any explanation. In total, they’ve charged me around €37, and at no point was I able to manage or cancel my subscription myself through the platform.
Canceling is extremely difficult, and the customer support experience has been chaotic. This makes the service feel more like a scam than a legitimate online tool. I’m still requesting a full refund, with no success. Avoid this website at all costs.
EDIT AFTER ANSWER BY VOICENOTES:
They refused to refund me simply because my first cancellation request came from a different email. The irony is that this email was the same as the billing email shown on my payment receipts, so they clearly knew it was me—even they later confirmed both accounts were mine, saw all the receipts I sent, and admitted the charges were real. It took them three months to even resolve the issue, and while they finally stopped the subscription, they still kept my money for a service I never used. I didn’t even log in once.
So apparently, to cancel a subscription on their website you must go through customer support, because making it simple would be too honest. There is literally NO way to cancel it yourself. And this “brilliant” support team took three months just to figure out I had used the wrong email, even though I provided receipts and proof from the start. They finally stopped the charges, but of course, no refund.
That’s not customer service, it’s theft disguised as bureaucracy.
AVOID THIS SCAM SERVICE—SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PEACE OF MIND.

The app is easy to use and makes organising meeting notes very easy. I reached out to the support team with a question about daily recording limit and the replied promptly and friendly with a solution. I have already recommended the app to several colleagues. I have meetings with people from all over the world, with some very strong regional accents, and the app has no problem transcribing these. The only improvement to the service I could suggest is to be able to create folders to organise notes into, especially useful if you are dealing with multiple projects at once.

Inaccurate and overly cumbersome service: I wasn’t even able to transcribe a simple menu, just because it doesn’t handle line breaks. But the worst part of all is the customer service: I’ve been trying to contact them in every possible way since June, and there’s absolutely no way to get a reply. Not via WhatsApp, not via email (I wrote multiple times both to info@ and to team@), not even through 'Report an issue'. I paid for 3 months (by the way, unsubscribing is extremely difficult and totally counterintuitive), and the receipt only shows my first and last name—no details, no VAT number, nothing at all… I’ve never seen such disastrous support from an app.

Great idea, terrible execution... and even worse customer support
VoiceNotes is a great idea, poorly executed and, worse, terribly managed when it comes to customer service. I subscribed to the annual plan expecting a reliable, AI-powered note-taking platform. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from that.
I’ve had several issues, but the worst happened recently: nearly all my recordings and notes from the past few months disappeared, including important meeting content and project ideas. When I contacted support, their response was vague and unhelpful. They simply said the notes couldn’t be recovered and that they would “try to replicate the issue.” That’s it — no real solution.
What’s most frustrating is that I lost content I never deleted, and now there's no way to get it back. The app not only fails to do what it promises, but it also puts your work at risk.
If you value your ideas, your time, and your work, don’t subscribe to this app. I trusted it, I paid, and I lost.

Voicenotes is an incredibly useful app
Voicenotes is an incredibly useful app, and I can't live without it now.
I even bought a DJI Mic2 as a voice recorder to capture my thoughts while I'm reading on my Kindle, then upload them in batches to Voicenotes.
Lack of friction, ease of capture
I've been using voice notes for almost a year. I have around 700 notes. It became my go-to capture tool.
I realized that my short thoughts are bigger, more interesting and complex, when dictated instead of written, because of the lack of friction.
An essential app to organize my thoughts
I use Voicenotes every day to quickly and easily store notes. What I love most is being able to record ideas on the go and then chat with those notes to develop them further. It feels like having a personal assistant always available.
The technical support is also excellent: they responded quickly when I had a question and it’s clear they’re truly committed to continuously improving the app. Highly recommended!
My everyday productivity partner
What I like about Voicenotes is that they’re always listening to their users, so the app keeps evolving in the right direction—toward truly practical, everyday features.
This makes Voicenotes an app you want to use constantly; it becomes a dependable companion. Plus, it’s available on virtually every platform, which makes it even easier to use—from my smartwatch to my PC.
Great App and Customer Service
Last year, with the AI boom in transcription and summarising, I decided to get into voice journaling. I installed and tried almost a dozen such apps.
When I first looked at Voicenotes I felt it was too simplistic for my needs and moved on to try the next one.
When I eventually gave Voicenotes a proper try I was blown away by how good it is and how much it had developed in comparison to other apps in the same space.
On the front end, it is simplistic and uncluttered, while in the backend, it is powerful (automation, integration, etc).
My favourite features are:
- Auto-tagging: You can set them up based on keywords or phrases that you may say in your voicenote (for example "I must", "Remind me", "Don't forget", etc. for it to tag as a ToDo. The possibilities are endless).
- Ability to upload PDF or image files, which are used for extra context when using "Ask AI" within a tag or in totality. I've set up a decent PKM for my business and private life with info that's too detailed to remember offhand. (yes, their privacy is on the high end when compared to other AI services)
- The Todoist and Zapier integrations.
- Being able to record voicenotes directly from my Samsung smartwatch (I see there's an Apple Watch app too)
- Voicenotes seems to have significantly better and more accurate transcriptions than other apps I've tried. I say that as a paid user of Plaud Note.
- I've seen great feedback on their MacOS app and very much look forward to using the Windows one when it is launched.
- The subscription is extremely affordable in comparison to similar apps. With virtually no transcription or summary limits (I may be wrong, but I think it's like 4 hours a day or something like that).
I have been a long-time user of the TickTick to-do app, but last week made the tough decision to switch to Todoist purely because of how good the Voicenotes integration is. When a voicenote is tagged and summarised as a to-do list, it automatically adds the to-dos to Todoist.
Years ago, I signed up to Reddit, but never used it (not a big thing here in South Africa), but have become a daily user now because the Voicenotes subreddit is a great place to interact with the development team and one of the founders, who are always willing to listen to us users and we quickly see many of our suggestions being implemented in the app.
I have highly recommended Voicenotes to family, friends and colleagues, and do so to you now.
My only regret with Voicenotes is that I missed out on the lifetime "Believer" plan by a few days.
Reading through my review, it may seem like a paid review, but trust me, it is not. It's been a long time since I've been as excited about a new app as my EDC as this one.
Great app, great customer communication
I have been with voice notes since the early days and it has always been very reliable with lots of features constantly being added. Reliable app and great customer communication. Hands down this is the best voice note taking app with integrated AI.
An excellent tool for capturing everything!
I really like that the project is not stagnant but actively evolving. This is very important! Minimalist design, fast performance, and essential tools are what matter!
Efficient Note-Taking with Smart AI
Here's the English translation:
Excellent app in continuous development. I subscribed to the lifetime plan, and I don't regret it. I personally think I save hours per month by taking most of my notes with Voicenotes. The integrated AI allows me to reuse notes in an intelligent and personalized way. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the app will continue to develop.
Great customer support
Support is really fast to reply and helpful.
I reported a bug and they immediately committed to work on it and try to fix it on the upcoming release,
Lifelong subscriber to Voicenotes!!!
I’ve been a lifelong subscriber to Voicenotes and can confidently say that my journey with the app has been transformative. To be honest, the initial experience had its fair share of bugs, but what truly stood out was the team’s commitment. They took feedback seriously and acted on it promptly, which speaks volumes about their dedication to delivering a solid user experience.
Today, the app is incredibly stable and has become a regular part of my workflow. I use it extensively for meeting transcriptions and summarizations. It's intuitive, easy to use, and requires no learning curve—you can start using it right away without needing to study or explore features.
What impresses me even more is that the founders seem genuinely hungry for innovation. They're continuously working to keep the app aligned with evolving needs and technologies, ensuring it remains relevant and ahead of the curve.
Voicenotes is not just convenient; it’s a powerful productivity tool that I now rely on daily. Highly recommended for anyone looking to simplify their note-taking and meeting documentation process.
