The Votes for Schools is brilliant and…

The Votes for Schools is brilliant and easy to use. They send weekly separate PowerPoint presentations for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. There is also a different power point presentation sent for assemblies also. (All three power points are based on the same question/topic)

Resources for class are also provided and links showing showing the linked British values. Each class can vote on what they think and % are published for the local community and national communities.
Votes for schools covers the current media news headlines and can cover topics that can be harder to address for example social media.
They are easy to contact should we need to know something and to do something.
Votes for School provide a great resource and this also aid staff for their well being and work life balance by providing exactly what is needed.
Thank you Votes for School.

Fantastic customer service

We have used votes for schools for several years and love the resources. They really enhance our Pshe and personal development offer.

We recently had an Ofsted inspection and Michelle instantly provided us with a range of documents to show the impact of votes for schools. The inspectors commented positively on votes for schools in the final meeting.

Votes for Schools is an excellent…

Votes for Schools is an excellent resource. It allows teachers and students to have deep discussions and debate about current affairs through the lessons that are pre-planned. It caters for all students and all abilities and I have no reservations in recommending Votes for Schools to other schools.

Contemporary lessons

I am blessed to teach PSHE to pupils from Y5 to Y8 all day everyday. VotesforSchools has transformed my lessons! I have always asked pupils for feedback and these lessons tick all the boxes - 'more about what is going on in the world right now', 'more about women', 'give us a voice'. They love the fact that their voice really does matter and that important organisations are sent their opinions.
What a fantastic idea - and a big thank you to the teachers who put the lessons together.

Every School Should have VFS!

VFS has been a great platform for us to engage with topics that are relevant to all the children. The impact, from some of the 'trickier topics', on some of our children has been unbelievable.
If we ever have any problems or need a resource, VFS are quick to respond and solve any problem.
I would recommend this resource; every school should be using Votes For Schools.

Fabulous support and resources galore!

I had a zoom meeting with Michele Fry from Votes for Schools who showed me all the new resources that are available to download and adapt from laminating ballot papers to making a display board using buntings! Michele also showed me the extended resources that could be used as a whole lesson on really important issues such as FGM and extremism. We recently had an Ofsted inspection and I informed Michele how the Ofsted inspector watched me teach a whole lesson on Votes for Schools in our form time and the inspector was really impressed with how the results of the whole country could be viewed. The Ofsted inspector really liked the Power Points. The Power Points are always engaging with the students and I would highly recommend every school to subscribe to Votes for Schools which covers SMSC 100% and it also about 75% of the topics of PHSE which includes RSE in such sensitive and interesting ways. The votes enable democracy in action every week thus actively promoting British values.

Lovely resources, easy to use website and teacher portal. Client care and prompt responses are exceptional. This has been invaluable given our short time frame to embed this program into pastoral time. Outstanding from start to finish. Looking forward to sharing the resources across the school.

Chris has been absolutely fantastic in helping our school get set up with using Votes for Schools. Students have been so engaged and have really enjoyed having the opportunity to share their voice and be heard about topics that are important to them. The resources are always excellently themed and relevant to students. The process couldn't be easier for teachers and I cannot recommend Votes for Schools enough!

Excellent from start through to weekly use

From initial contact, to our weekly use of the system, we have found the whole process easy to understand and effective. The staff training was clear and voting is easy online. Students like the content and powerpoints provided. We already ran a program that included lots of discussion about current affairs, but this has saved us a lot of time in preparing resources. Students like knowing their voice is being heard on a national level which previously would have been less impactful coming from just one school.

Fab resource!

My class love these lessons so much - they provide a space for them to discuss, debate and (importantly) disagree in an informed and sensible way, and they always enjoy the topic of the week. The lessons give a balanced viewpoint, and I really like the yes/no slide at the end to help the children see the arguments again before they vote. Thank you!

As a parent of a child whose school…

As a parent of a child whose school subscribes to this propaganda merchant I am disgusted by Votes for Schools and also schools that subject their students to its pseudo-educational trash. Votes for Schools' content is such thinly veiled propaganda there is little possibility schools do not realise they are dealing with the corrupt and/or stupid when they deal with Votes for Schools. Corruption of the minds of the young at the most dumbed-down level of oversimplification and bias.

Votes for Schools - a must have

Michelle Fry was our contact. She was extremely helpful and our meetings very informative. She was able to show us content that we would have access to and also to triangulate where VFS fits as part of our PSHE offer and against the OFSTED framework. The ease of setting up the account was great and for me VFS is fantastic value for money and an exceptional piece of software and content to support the learning of our children.

I have really enjoyed using Votes for…

I have really enjoyed using Votes for Schools with my class. I used it for remote learning as well as for the keyworker group. I was impressed with how V4S was able to adapt their topic for both sets of learning. I also love the fact that each topic/theme is very topical and so flexible in their approaches. When the class know it is V4S they cheer! The children enjoy voting with their feet especially and I like the variety of the different ways the children get to participate and share their ideas, views and opinions.
There is so much material that it can be adapted to your class and school very easily. It can be used as a stand alone lesson or as part of your school's oracy programme.
I have already recommended it to other schools and I would not do this unless I really thought it was top rate. I can not praise it enough-well done V4S team!
