vPost needs bucking up!

I was wondering why vPost had such poor reviews. Now I know.
First, the the SingPost app needs to be smarter. It keeps introducing you vPost after you have signed up. And it loves to log you out when you want to retrace. It's a frustrating app that forgets about customer experience.
Second, each item shipped costs $4 per 0.5kg plus 'fuel charge' which is 0.70c from Malaysia. Tax is separate.

You have 1 month to bundle your items together for shipping. I bought one cheap item costing $1 from ShopeeMY to try out the process and later 2 more items to be shipped together. Surprise! Each item is charged separately! Oh, there's only a 2 to 3% discount for bundling! So for my 3 items, it's ($4+fuel charge)X3. Why is fuel charge charged 3 times when the bundle involves only one shipping to the same address? It's a policy, I was told!

How about my discount for first time user? Look for the promo code in the emails (which I couldn't find). And there are time restriction on the promo code, I was told. By that time, I just want to get over it!

By the way, the staff on the helpline were very patient. The system and policy (and management) need upgrading. But does SingPost care so far?

I was charged for $55 for 1 bag from US…

I was charged for $55 for 1 bag from US as they repacked my item and placed it in a big box which is 60x60cm box. I informed them about it but they denied as they said they packed as it is even the waybill/sticker was not in the new box. but the following items, i noticed that they packed in a bigger box again. and this time, 2 boxes inside, they placed it into 1 box. but overly big box again. As usual, was charged way more than it shd be.

Since January, even after the increase, the items became slow. The fast delivery before were over. Now, we paid more and we received the item way slower than before. I received a notif that the items were shipped alrdy since 30 Jan. Now, still no traces of it arriving here in SG. It's been 14 days...

Reasonable delivery, will use again

Not as bad as people suggest it is. All my items were delivered from both the US and UK into SG, within 7-10 days, at a reasonable price. I couldn't track them so it was annoying but everything arrived well.

Was charged high freight costs for 6kgs item, but it arrived, I weighted it as 2.38kgs. This will be the last time that I use Vpost.

Default Shipping Rate is More Expensive

Their default shipping rate titled 'Standard' isn't standard at all, it is the more expensive of the two options (the other being 'Economy'). Unfortunately the options aren't highlighted and you can easily click through to payment. And forget about a reply to any feedback/questions you send them.

DHL collected my item from Vpost.

DHL collected my item from Vpost in the UK, since they would not do anything with it. DHL, on the other hand, sent me a pick-up confirmation SMS and email. What a wonderful difference.

Core value is in money-making, sidelining customers’ welfare

Despite being our “National” shipper, it’s a disgrace to our country’s reputation. Their international shipping service has so many “cannot do’s” under many pretexts, for e.g. parcel consolidation, which is widely offered by other shippers, which all in all, just adds to additional shipping income for them and higher costs for consumers.
Waiting for their replies via emailing is like their perpetual “lost in mail” experience with their sister counterpart (Singpost). And if you ever got through to their helpline, there’s nothing they can do based on all sorts of their SOP etc. HOWEVER, don’t take whatever they said at face value. For if you were to grill them further, you would realize that some things could be done but you just have to be the one to offer them that solution, not the other way round.
Over the years, be it with Singpost or Vpost, there were many instances of lost packages and heart attacks etc. This is a company that would have gone into obsoletion if we had more choices to choose from.

Should avoid!

They are inconsistent with their policies on what items they’ll ship and what they won’t. Items not listed as prohibited on their FAQ’s and Terms and Conditions can be deemed prohibited after they’ve received it on your behalf, at which point they will refuse to ship it to you. This means the cost of the return and any restocking fees is born by you. The absolute stunner for me was in trying to get an OhSnap MagSafe grip (it’s like a PopSocket) shipped to me. It has no electronics in it, no batteries, and nothing any of their pages said would be prohibited. Upon receipt by vPost my item was marked as prohibited for having magnets. When I referred them to their own prohibited items list, they informed me that they can change what is and isn’t prohibited at their discretion.

Their customer care teams are fairly difficult to reach, taking as long as 5 working days to reply to emails. Calling by phone results in them asking you to submit your query via email. They cannot help you via phone if there isn’t a case number created by email first. You are only provided with a case number upon an agent’s first reply to an email. Some of the queries submitted do not get replies. The ones that do take about a week.

Avoid

Avoid. Vpost lost my very first package I sent with them. It was a one of a kind item that I am very upset about. The only contact is via email that no one has responded to in days. The package shows as delivered on tracking to the warehouse but there's no package in the warehouse and they can't locate it since it was delivered. How hard was it to deliver a package with one item in it to my mailbox address? Whoever signs off on packages failed! The seller apologised to me for vpost not delivering the item yet no apology from vpost.

The worst ever ever

The worst ever ever ! VPost ! You are such a disgrace to the Singapore brand.
The customer service is so bad , even my 6 year old daughter could do better.
My retailer used FedEx and showed that it’s been delivered. FedEx , with the tracking status - and VPost keeps asking me for proof of delivery!?
i have to call customer service who assures me they have enough documentation, then they write me an email to tell me repeatedly they need proof of delivery- how ?! How else can I get this proof of delivery ?! And they take a week to reply the same thing each time I write ! Oh my goodness they should fire the management of VPost because this is simply - ridiculous ! To build a service where they expect the customers to hunt down endless proofs !! It’s been almost one month of torture and I am not getting any where nearer to a resolution

Do not ship anything with Vpost from any foreign countries!! They are now 70% more expensive than if you let the merchants ship to you. I send a 6kg package from Japan in Oct 2023 from Japan. DHL charge S$100 include 8% GsT. Vpost charged $170!!!! And you won’t know the cost till the items arrived to Vpost warehouse. DHL can quiet before you take up their service. Vpost sucks!!!!!

Avoid Vpost at all costs

Bought 5 items from UK from different merchants. They were each very light items eg. underwear, wristband, windbreaker and shorts, and were shipped separately by the different merchants to my vpost UK address. When 1st item arrived at vpost, i received notification and invoice for $53! I sent an online enquiry to vpost asking which item had arrived and how the $53 charge was computed because the heaviest item of the lot would have been less than 1kg. I also needed to know what was the item in order to accurately declare GST. A few days later, I got an email from customer service saying
a case had been opened and they will respond in 3 working days. This went by without any further contact from Vpost. 3 reminder emails later, there was still no response. Meanwhile, two other items arrived at Vpost. This time, I was charged $10+ per item (which was within expectation). I sent another online enquiry to find out what these items were, and again, received an email to say a separate case had been opened, will get back in 3 working days. Again, nothing further happened. Meanwhile, my free storage period was coming to an end, and 2 remaining items are still missing. It is virtually impossible to get hold of anyone in Vpost to seek clarification of how their exhorbitant charges are arrived at. $53 for one, $10 for another - this seems arbitrary and oppresssive. No accountability, no transparency, no responsibility shown by Vpost. Totally unacceptable for a Singapore company. Avoid it at all costs.

Dishonest unhelpful and unaccountable.

I order 2 items form Barebones USA,
Items send to VPOST portland warehouse by UPS delivery.
As UPS delivery standard, delivery need to be sign off.
When I received notification from Vpost Singapore parcel arrived, I declared each item and value and also paid for their VCARE insurance.
10 days later they notified me again my parcel reached portland.
And I received only 1 item.
Called Singapore Singpost Vpost they said why the seller packed in 2 parcel.
1 UPS delivery Vpost collected them they don't know it's 2 package ?
I declared both items in it's value and you collected both items airfare you don't check ?
They refused to show the packing slip they sign off.
Now expecting me to pay again.
This it's my case ID
CAS-7068128-T4Y1Y8- CRM:06761049
If can post their totally irrelevant reply
screenshots i would have post them here.
They won't checked and only pushed ypu away without any supporting or proof.
Very dishonest and very frustrating exchanging emails that totally reply nonsense and irrelevant.

Decided to use give up on my stuff which I already paid, airfare paid and the VCARE that don't care anything at all.

Round about / unsolved issue

Super bad service with vpost. Item was delivered to the USA warehouse on June 7th and was made aware it would take 2-5 working days for packages to appear in system.

Already 6 working days. Called customer service and emailed but all of them told me different things. All their answers are really standard textbook none helping at all.

Take note the seller sent out my package with a tracking number and I double checked the warehouse address before submitting my order. So what is the issue ?

Really disappointing and giving me so much headache. Regret using them. Will just stick to using ezbuy.

Look for lost items on Storage Wars

Package sent by seller 28/03/2023 from Michigan to my Portland VPost address. VPost denied receiving until I had a proof of delivery statement issued by carrier that it was delivered 3 days from pickup. 20 days after proof of delivery to my Portland address, I was notified by VPost that my package has arrived and then went down the repetitive track of requesting seller invoice etc. They also at this time requested payment for forwarding to Australia which I paid and tracking information was provided on the member dashboard. 20/04/2023 I receive notification from VPost That my package has exceeded the maximum length to enter Australia. I suggested to them that a benefit of membership was that VPost would repackage accordingly and as these item in the package were light plastic, could be trimmed.
As a previous reviewer has said, each time there is communication it is with a different person who has the same attitude of apology. All my attempts to have this resolved appear to meet on deaf and ignorant ears. I wonder if they have an intention of frustrating their members to a point where they give up leaving VPost with a variety of abandoned goods to be sold on the likes of Storage Wars TV.
