No Title, No Inspections, Fee's Stolen?

Got The Car as Said! 2018 Mazda3 Hatchback! White/27K

A) Temp Ran out, bought at end of Feb 2022 it's now Mid June, Still No Title from Them?! Nor has the Bank WOW! Took care of it myself. Refund For Fee and Taxes Please. As this makes for higher monthly payments as more of the Down should be applied to loan, Shame on VROOM!

B) Mantainance was not done as said with their Blaa-Blaa Checks, Lucky for me I was a mechanic for quite some time. Interior Filter Trashed, Oil Near end of Life Ect..

C) Customer Service runarounds, Sick'd BBB/Consumer Affairs and the Bank on them, Why? Don't understand? Why taint your Business Image with Clean-Cut Paying Customers? Bizarre.

Stay away from Vroom if you value your sanity

I found a vehicle with a manual transmission and had my heart set on that vehicle. Decided to give Vroom a shot. The initial sales person, Terry, was pleasant and easy to work with. Problem is the "call center" staff. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I very clearly stated that they would need to register the vehicle in my name alone (had a co-buyer) as I was the one with a valid drivers license in the state the vehicle would be registered in. Told them this multiple times on their "recorded lines" and I was told over and over that it was all set, no issues. My concern was the proxy going to the DMV to register the vehicle only to have to come back because the paperwork needed to be redone. Well, what do you think happened? I was right, and they were wrong. Both parties on the purchase agreement had to be listed on the registration. So we had to start back at square one with the paperwork to remove the co-buyer. Once that was done, I was told that they would take the vehicle in for inspection and service. I would then receive an email the week prior to delivery with the name and contact information of my delivery driver. Said driver would then contact me the day before delivery. NONE of that happened. Instead, I received a phone call from the driver telling me he was 90 minutes away. I just so happened to get lucky and be working from home that day. When the vehicle arrived, the driver could not drive it off the trailer. He had to jump start it because the battery was dead. Got it off the trailer, handed me 2 key fobs (only one of which works) and left. The car still had the inventory stickers on the windows, hadn't even been so much as washed. It was obviously not serviced. Contacted Vroom, they told me they'd compensate me $150 for a new batter. WHAT?? The new battery alone cost me $199.99, add in another $275 for a new key fob and then there's the time and hassle of having to get my newly purchased vehicle in running condition. In the end, they were only willing to reimburse me $475 total.

This company is the worst! Their representatives are rude and lie. They will tell you that they're creating a case and escalating it and someone will call you back within 24 hours, and no one ever does. Instead, they'll make notes in your case about how unreasonable you're being when you're simply frustrated that they don't listen to you when you're trying to make the process easier. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Never again!

Worst car buying experience ever!

This is the worse company to buy a car from EVER!! if you need to buy a car please save yourself the worse headache and buy from a different company. I purchased a car that came in scratched up. I returned it right away. They issued me a temporarily registration and never removed the car from my name. I ended up paying toll fees of the new owner and no one in vroom was willing to help. Their customer services is the worst. Advisors are not allowed to transfer to manager. They tell you they have to put in a request for someone to call you within 24 to 72 hours but no one ever does! I have never seen anything like it!!!

Be warned, your experience may not be what you expect.

I purchased a vehicle in 2021 from Vroom and it was a wonderful experience. They were so easy to deal with and everything worked out great. I was so happy with them, that I decided to purchase another vehicle through them and that was the biggest mistake
I have ever made. I was ghosted multiple times in the middle of the deal. Nothing would happen in the deal unless I called and pushed someone to take action. Along the way, they lost my deposit and I had to prove the money was wired to them. After many calls
and complaints, I finally received the car which I really like but it has a huge issue with the title.

I have had this vehicle for about 6 months now. I continue to make payments but the car is not drivable since the temp tags have expired. Although they did provide me with a rental while we are waiting on the title, it has been 6 months so far and they are
asking for several months for a duplicate title. I really have little confidence that I will ever see a title for this vehicle. I have requested a buyback from them but possession of the car may be better than a check that never comes.

The problem with Vroom is they do very little to earn your business or trust. You will find that if there is the smallest issue, your issues and deal will be side-tracked and it will be up to you to manage it for them. You would think they would want to take some action
to clean up all their issues with titling, etc but evidently not. just look at BBB and other sites and notice the complaints. I was sure wish I had looked at BBB before but I took them at their word: "We believe buying a car should be fun, easy, and affordable. Here’s how Vroom is leading the revolution
".

Update: Finally, I have tags and a vehicle registration after 141 days of waiting. Not surprising but Vroom had no idea that the registration had completed until I contacted them, they were still trying to get a duplicate title. I guess it pays to call and complain to everybody that you can.

I am happy the nightmare is finally over!

The worst company ever, they lie every time you call to obtain informations about your title/registration. Staw away from them and don’t get fooled by their false marketing and low pricing, the headache you’ll get doesn’t worth the dealership experience where everything is done properly. It’s the worst company to deal with.. my advice go to Carvana, they are way more honest, professional and real

This dealership sucks

They have so many representatives that have no clue on what is going on. Everyone I call I talk to another person from a different location. And never to my sale person. I waste my time and energy calling to find out what else is needed. They take too long finding out exactly what is needed if one person just took the time to read and give me all the damn information up front we could have had this settled in a damn hour. Apparently they have no managers they just pass you off to another representative. Customer service- laughable what customer service. My dog has more training vs the people who answer the phones there. Get your crap together and figure out what is needed. Worse company ever - would recommend to my worse enemy

There should be negative stars

There should be negative stars. This dealership doesn't deserve even one. What a horrific, aggravating, upsetting, experience buying a car from this dealership. The salesperson was great but after that the process was totally horrendous. They lost my paperwork, as well as didn't send me all the paperwork that required my original signature. They didn't bother to call me to tell me. I called them after a week had gone by to see where we were in the process, as all the paperwork was submitted, this is when I found out. I was told replacement paperwork would be Fed Exed that day, didn't receive it. I called everyday for 2 weeks & nobody could tell me what the hold up was, it was always another department. I left several VM, no return calls. I requested supervisors call me never a return call. There are too many people in too many departments involved with one car &, other than the salesman, all are ineffectivein the job. Iemailed multiple times never a response, including the company president. I had send proof of insurance on the new vehicle@ the beginning of the process. I get an email from my insurance Co stating that if the car wasn't registered w/in 30 days I would face state fines/penalties. I called Vroom spoke to someone supposedly in that specific department, he assured me the car would be delivered w/ temp tags & title. Today the car was delivered, WITHOUT either the temp tags & title. I called Vroom advising that i needed these documents immediately as the car will be towed for being parked in the street & not having plates. The person@ Vroom had the audacity to tell me it will take 24-48 hrs for them to be emailed to me & continued to say the same thing over & over when I asked why. Why would it take thus long to email the paperwork that They should already have, no answer. What am I supposed to do sit in my car until they are emailed& to explain to the cops that employees of Vroom are incompetent? They all have the same script " I'm sorry & I understand ". It made me want to scream. I heard this hundreds of times from absolutely every person I spoke to yet none of them could give a straight answer to any question. I am supposed to have 7 days or 250 miles if I want to return the car. I can't even drive the car because of their continued ineptitude. The only thing that went w/o a hitch them taking thousands of dollars from me. I think there should be an investigation into this company as the majority of experiences are negative.

Shady Company...Avoid.

Bought the car and delivered, phone calls from sales department every day until money sent. Car arrived with flat tire, maintenance 300 days over due, and tire tread cracked with cord/fibers sticking out. More scratches than depicted and car arrived filthy.

They did send check for $745 to cover tires. However, that was well below the cost quoted to buy and install. Been over a week without contact regarding claim for oil change and seat cushion repair. Past my 7 days...so stuck with the car.

Love the car, so +1 star.

I wanted to sell my 2020 Ram 3500 HD to Vroom. After they gave me a purchase price that I agreed to the next step was to send them my Title. I was not sure I wanted to send them my Title but they sent me a next day Fedex label so I sent it in. The deal did not go thru because my wife's name was on the title first and they said I was not the owner but we were both on the document. I have been trying for over a week and a half to get back my title which they can not seem to locate. I am so frustrated with Vroom that I would not recommend any one doing business with this company. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

Don’t do it…

This was the absolute worst car buying experience I’ve ever had! Customer service help is very limited and if you do need to speak with a supervisor it takes a month to get a call back. Please, please do not send your down payment via cashiers check. I was advised by my car specialist to send my down payment in the mail with my contact and somehow they received my contract but not my down payment even though they were in the SAME envelope. It has been two weeks and no one has even started to look for my check. In order to resolve the issue myself I had to take out a loan in order to send the money again for my down payment because my bank cannot stop payment on my check for another two weeks. So at this point I’ve paid my down payment twice and I’m spending $400 a week on rental vehicles to get to work everyday.

If you want to save yourself from…

If you want to save yourself from headaches and time due to repeated calling to this company, then don’t buy any vehicle from them, unless probably if you live right next door to them so you can bug them till they do what they need to do. It is a scary experience. When you call, the people are polite but nothing gets done until you call a hundred times. Then you are given case numbers to make you think they are doing something but really not. It’s now been 3 weeks of inquiries and case numbers for them to refund the tax and tag i had to pay to get my plate. No refund yet. I called again and i was given another case number for the same issue i had been calling for. I couldn’t use my vehicle for more than 2 weeks because the temp registration expired. It took a lot of calling and a lot of stress! Avoid them.

Vroom is Terrible customer service!!

Terrible!!!!
Received the shipping call 3 times for delivery and no show on each date. 4th time we got it. Once received a no tag on the car no packet, registration ext..
had to leave the car in the Parkville Ng lot 3 days with no tags,
Called vroom and got the runaround from another country.
Finally got a temp tag emailed to me only to find out it expires in 10 days due to the tag was ordered 6 weeks ago when I was supposed to get the car??
So now I have a car with expired temp tags and are talking to another country again to get another tag , since then I have sent for the permanent tags 3 weeks ago from vroom and nothing there yet also.
So I have a car that I paid for and can’t drive with no registration and or tags. So I just get off the phone with vroom and now they can’t issue temp tags out of state anymore. They advised me to go to my local DMV and get a tag.
What a joke!!!!
Now for another adventure at the DMV!!

The car was delivered without temp tags. I’ve called multiple times over the last three weeks and I’m told it’s still “processing.” I wish I would have read the reviews of other people in this situation. Based on other reviews, I have no hopes of getting my registration any time soon. What a headache.

Avoid Vroom at all costs!

Avoid Vroom at all costs!

If I could give Vroom zero stars, then I would.

I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle from Vroom but had a miserable experience, and here is why. I signed and submitted all documents and payments, but Vroom kept contacting me to tell me I still needed to submit my down payment and final payment from the bank. I spoke with Vroom six separate times, and each time they did confirm they had my payments, but nothing changed, and I kept receiving calls and emails telling me that payments needed to be made before my vehicle would be sent. I finally canceled the vehicle purchase because Vroom could not get their act together, but was told they would not give me a refund on the vehicle deposit fee of $249. I asked to speak with a manager, but the rep refused. Vroom reps act as if they don't all have the same information, therefore it became a major headache having to explain the same situation repeatedly with not resolution.
Avoid Vroom, otherwise you will regret it.
